Study finds link between education and cheating

* 83% of people who cheat have a degree

* Computer science graduates top the list of people most likely to have an affair

* Study conducted by IllicitEncounters.com, the UK’s largest extramarital dating site

In a world where higher education is hailed as the secret recipe for personal and professional triumph, an unexpected guest appears to have crashed the party: a connection between graduates and infidelity.

According to new research released by IllicitEncounters, the UK’s leading married dating site, there could be a link between being university educated and cheating.

Back in January, new census data showed that 1 in 3 people now have a degree or similar in the UK*, making the number of potential cheaters alarmingly high, and with summer graduation ceremonies in full force, that figure continues to grow.

When it polled 2000 of its members, IllicitEncounters found that 83% are graduates, seemingly making it the ultimate magnet for the brainy and bright.

Delving deeper, the website found that Computer Science was the degree that the majority of cheaters have, with 1 in 5 tech-savvy people clearly knowing how to hack into complex algorithms and secret affairs.

Business graduates followed, with 18% of unfaithful people knowing how to mix profit with pleasure.

14% of cheaters have a degree in Management studies, managing to master the art of an extramarital love life and spreadsheets, whilst keeping a few secrets tucked away in their briefcases.

History and graphic design graduates, on the other hand, were declared the least likely to cheat, with just 2% of unfaithful people having studied these at university.

Andy, who is a member of the extramarital dating site, commented, “I currently work for a big multinational as a data analyst, having studied computer science at university. Even the most logical minds can’t resist a bit of playful rebellion. Plus, since I’m good with computers, I know how to hide my digital tracks making it practically impossible for my wife to find out.”

Another user of IllicitEncounters.com, Emma, said, “When I went to university, it was the first time I lived away from home and that’s when I really felt a sense of independence. It definitely helped in terms of personal growth and I started exploring my desires and boundaries, so I suppose you could say that’s what sparked my open-mindedness when it comes to having a relationship outside of my marriage.”

Addressing the study, Jessica Leoni, sex and relationships expert at IllicitEncounters.com noted, “It certainly appears that there’s a direct link between a person’s education and their approach to infidelity.”

When asked what could be fuelling graduates to cheat, Leoni stated, “Graduates often dive headfirst into ambitious careers which demand their time and energy: deadlines, workaholic tendencies and high-stress roles can definitely take a toll on relationships at home.

In addition to that, people often gravitate towards intelligence and the charm that can come from those more stimulating conversations, which in turn can create opportunities for connections that might test the boundaries of commitment.”

Destination Infidelity: Most men don’t consider affairs abroad as cheating

* 77% of men don’t consider it cheating if they have an affair while on holiday
* Ibiza was voted the top holiday destination where men have a secret fling
* Research conducted by IllicitEncounters.com, the UK’s largest extramarital dating site

With the sunshine finally making an appearance in the UK, Brits have started to plan their summer getaways – but you might want to keep an eye on your man if he’s off on a lads’ holiday. A new study conducted by IllicitEncounters.com shows that the majority of men DON’T consider themselves to be cheating if they have an affair abroad.

Of the 1,800 members polled by the extramarital dating site, a surprising 77% of men don’t see an issue with indulging in an affair on foreign soil, believing it to actually be acceptable.

When asked where in the world they’d had a secret fling, Ibiza came out on top with 44% of the vote. The ultimate lad’s holiday destination often regarded as party paradise is clearly a hotspot for pushing boundaries.

Sailing close behind in second place was Ayai Napa with 41% of the vote. The coast of Cyprus clearly has sex appeal, with its non-stop rollercoaster of sun, sea and partying, and inhibitions are often left at home.

Magaluf made it into the top 3, with 36% of men admitting they’d cheated on their partners whilst soaking up the Spanish sunshine. The famous strip is a winner for men when it comes to cheating abroad.

Shaun, who uses the married dating site, said “What happens abroad, stays abroad. It’s become a bit of a ritual for me and the boys now. Every year we book a week away – sun, good food, great company and if you’re lucky, a nice little one-night stand. Obviously, my wife wouldn’t be too happy if she knew what we get up to, but because it’s just sex and a bit of fun, there’s really nothing for her to be worried about – I don’t love her any less, but life’s short so why not!”

Another member of IllicitEncounters.com, Joshua, said “For me there’s no doubt that cheating abroad is acceptable. Having done it before, it’s just physical, I’m not looking for an emotional connection, so as long as you can separate the two, there’s no harm done. You have a bit too much to drink with the lads, get a little loose, return home and it’s all back to normal – no one needs to know.”

Sex and relationships expert, Jessica Leoni, commented “With temperatures set to rise and the long-awaited arrival of summer finally upon us, you might want to think twice about agreeing to your partner’s lads’ holiday. “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas” according to the majority of men polled. In terms of where men tend to let loose, island destinations dominated the list, with Spain having two spots in the top three with men deciding it’s the best country to live la vida loca.

It’s the mix of sunshine, copious amounts of alcohol and being far away from the wife that could potentially lead your partner astray – and you might be none the wiser when the boundaries of monogamy dissolve stepping off the plane. With lowered inhibitions, it’s all about having a good time, seizing the day and doing things they wouldn’t or couldn’t do back home.”

Has your partner made plans this Friday? They may be cheating on you!

* Friday, July 22nd, dubbed ‘Frisky Friday’, is the day your other half is most likely to cheat on you

* 87% of adulterers said they continue messaging their affair partner during the summer holidays, even though nearly a quarter of all affairs get busted by spouses checking their partner’s phones

* Results come from a study conducted by IllicitEncounters.com, the UK’s leading dating site for married people

Has your spouse made plans this Friday? Careful, they may be cheating on you! Today is the single biggest day a married person is likely to get cheated on this summer.

This year ‘Frisky Friday’ falls on the 22nd of July when adulterers plan to have their last illicit encounter with their extramarital lover before schools break up for the summer holidays.

The week before Frisky Friday, saw 46% more activity on the UK’s leading married dating website, IllicitEncounters.com. The affairs site predicts a 77% overall rise on Friday 22nd of July, the most popular day of the year for affairs.

The site polled 1000 male and female members and found out that 87% of adulterers continue messaging their affair partner over the summer cheat break, with more than half of them (56%) already having plans in place to see their lovers as soon as the summer holidays come to an end in September.

An additional 400 members, that have previously been caught cheating by their partners, were asked how their affair was discovered.

Nearly a quarter of affairs (24%) are busted by suspicious partners going through their spouse’s phones.

The second most popular method of unearthing an affair is a friend revealing the infidelity to them (20%).

Thirdly, cheating partners get discovered when a spouse accesses their computer or laptop (17%).

Other popular cheating busts are checking bank statements (10%), unfaithful partners stumbling on a lie (9%), and catching them in the act either by following them (7%)  or happening to catch them red-handed entirely by accident (4%).

A shocking 5% of affairs actually get busted by partners coming across their spouse’s profile on a dating app/site.

Amber, Newbury, 49, a member using the website said ‘I’ve been married for nearly 18 years and although I love my husband dearly, there’s just no spark.

I’ve had a few flings over the years and I am currently dating another married man. It’s going to be tough to get together over the school holidays so we’re planning to see eachother this Friday one last time. Having a little distance keeps the spark alive as we can still exchange dirty texts and sexy photos, in anticipation of meeting up when the kids are back in school.’

Jessica Leoni, sex and relationships expert for IllicitEncounters.com, said “More people cheat leading up to, or straight after, a family affair. Cheating tends to peak just before and after the summer holidays as well as Christmas – why? Because adulterers know that they have to go on a bit of a cheat break when they’re spending time with family. As soon as the obligatory family time ends, they get back onto the unfaithful train.

Technology has definitely made it easier to cheat, likewise, it has made it easier to catch a cheat out by leaving a digital trail. You have to cheat smart, use passwords and aliases, clear your history, make sure you’re covering up your tracks.’

How did your partner catch you cheating?

By checking my phone 24%

A friend told them 20%

Like Kissing? Don’t get married – 63% of married couples haven’t snogged in the last 3 months!

* 63% of married couples haven’t snogged in the last 3 months
* The key to a perfect kiss is to slow it down
* Big lips and tongue action make for a good kiss, although too much tongue and bad breath will make for a bad kiss
* Poll comes from 1400 married men and women on IllicitEncounters.com the UK’s leading married dating site

Guess what happens when you marry someone? The kissing stops!

In recognition of National Kissing Day, Wednesday 6th of July, IllicitEncounters.com the UK’s leading dating website for married people, surveyed 1400 men and women to discover how much, or how little, married couples kiss and what it is that makes a sensational smooch.

A shocking 63% of married couples haven’t snogged at all in the last 3 months, with 41% of those having not snogged for over 6 months.

Like Kissing? Don’t get married. Only 37% of married couples have kissed passionately in the last 3 months. Out of those, only a meager 18% have smooched within the last month.

Out of the married couples that haven’t passionately kissed in the last 3 months, 79% said they no longer enjoy snogging their partner even though 87% of them stand by the fact that they love snogging.

The study also got to the bottom of what makes a good or bad kiss. The biggest tip to take away from the results is that the pace of a kiss matters.

If you’re a slow kisser you’re not going to get any complaints. 51% of the respondents agree that slow kissing is the number one factor in a good kiss. The bulk of the respondents (42%) agree fast kissing is the number one thing that makes a kiss bad.

Many prominent movie scenes include kisses that are slow really honing in on this fact. The upside-down kiss in Spider-Man (2002), the iconic kiss on the bow of the ship in Titanic (1998), and the kiss in the pool in Romeo and Juliet (1996) another DiCaprio classic – the pace of the kissing is slow.

The second most important factor to a good kiss is big lips (23%) followed by some tongue action (14%).

The last most important thing the respondents said makes a kiss good is eye contact (9%).

The study also found too much tongue action (30%) is a turn-off, followed by bad breath (18%).

The last most important thing to factor in a bad kiss is small lips (6%).

We asked a bunch of our married members, using IllicitEncounters.com, to describe the perfect kiss in their own words.

Case Studies

Nadine, 37, Reading

‘You can’t rush a good kiss. It needs to be slow and sensual.’

Hattie, 44, Newport

‘A good kisser leaves you wanting more, but a great kisser will pull the floor up from beneath you, make you go weak at the knees and make the world around you cease to exist.’

Jeremiah, 33, West London

‘Timing is key. You’ve got to know when to go in for a kiss.’

Susannah, 45, Manchester

‘A kiss that makes the world and all its problems disappear.’

Jessica Leoni, sex and relationships expert at  IllicitEncounters.com, adds ‘A kiss should never be rushed. The tempo is the most important box to tick to satisfy a great kiss. Teasing is pleasing, you have to pace yourself. A fast kiss is awkward and can lead to teeth knocking into eachother and sore lips – what’s the fun in that? Turns out tongue action is also important – but not too much tongue, nobody enjoys a sloppy kiss.

Why aren’t married people kissing anymore? They’ve been there, done that, and quite frankly they don’t enjoy kissing their spouse anymore. Perhaps it’s the realisation, after getting married, that your spouse is the only person you’re ever going to be allowed to snog with again. We need more variety in our lives. No matter how good fish and chips is, you still wouldn’t want to eat it for dinner for the rest of your life.’

Biggest Spike in Autumn Affairs in Eighteen Years as Kids are back in School

*The biggest autumn affairs spike in 18 years now that kids are back in school

* Bored housewives account for 59% of the registration surge

* More than half of adulterers have been faithful over the summer, though 70% of them suffered a total summer sex drought

* Study conducted by IllicitEncounters.com the UK’s leading dating site for married people

IllicitEncounters.com, the UK’s leading dating website for married people has seen an exponential growth in married people seeking affairs during the last three weeks as bored husbands and wives look to engage in illicit activity now that kids are back in school.

The autumn affairs spike is observed each year that kids go back to school, however 2021 accounts for the biggest rise in September registrations since records began 18 years ago, with a 44% increase in the first three weeks of September.

Bored housewives account for 59% of the registration surge – suggesting that more of the child care burden belongs to mothers – who after a summer of sacrifices are finally able to use September as an opportunity to unwind with an illicit lover. It seems that once the kids are back in school, mums go back to bed with other people’s husbands.

The extra-marital dating site surveyed 600 recently active members and found that more than half of married couples (54%) had been faithful over the summer, but not from lack of trying as a phenomenal 84% of those who didn’t cheat said they wanted to have an affair but found it impossible to engage in one during the summer holidays.

Out of the 46% of members that were loyal during the school holidays, a whopping 70% said they hadn’t even had sex with their spouse – this summer sex draught is notorious for sowing the seed of the autumn affairs rise.

Henrietta, 55, London

‘I could walk through the house naked and my husband wouldn’t even notice. I’ve accepted that our relationship is no longer physical and that’s okay. Otherwise he is a great partner and father to our kids and we really like to focus our attention on the family during the school holidays. We were actually lucky enough to go to Greece this year. We’ve had a nice summer. Now the kids are back in school and I’m looking my best with a tan – I am ready to pounce haha on some new fling for this quarter.”

Sylvia, 40, Suffolk

I save most of my annual leave for the school holidays as me and my husband both work and need to make sure that childcare is covered. I love spending time with the kids but the summer really steals away any real adult time left. My husband is constantly stressed and complaining. It’s nice to just forget about it all with someone who can relate. I don’t intend to ever leave my family, I just need a bit of a release.

Jessica Leoni, sex and relationships expert at IllicitEncounters.com, said “We’re seeing a phenomenal spike in autumn affairs now the kids are back in school. It can also be assumed that the surge is higher than normal due to covid and lockdown fever – people need an escape, they need a release from the mayhem of the last 18 months.

Having said that, autumn is always cesspit for infidelity. Schools reopening allow parents much more freedom. I’m not surprised adulterers have been faithful during the summer – there’s been little to no chance to get away. Now daddy can drop off the kids to daycare and engage in a dalliance of his own.

Look – we all know summer is adventure time for our children – but autumn is when stressed out spouses are finally allowed to go out and play.”

It’s Frisky Friday – Peak Day of the Year for Affairs!

*Peak day for affairs is Frisky Friday (23rd of July) – as bored mums and dads cheat one last time before school’s out for summer!

* Affairs are ripe when the weather is hot – as more people cheat in the warmer months of the year

* More adulterers look to cheat in the first three weeks of July than any other time of the year

* Second most popular month for affairs is June

* Other peaks are in September and January as loverats return to their lovers after long holidays with their family

Sunshine is a recipe for adultery. Brits cheat more when the weather is hot!

The peak day for affairs is today (Friday, 23rd July) as the schools break up for the summer holidays, according to a new study conducted by IllicitEncounters.com, the UK’s leading dating site for married people.

The whole week before the big summer getaway is the busiest of the year for extra-marital activity.

It reaches its peak on ‘Frisky Friday’ with adulterers eager to cheat one last time before school’s out for summer!

The first two weeks of July saw a 32% increase in activity, increasing significantly to 67% by week three. The affairs site predicts a 75% overall rise on Frisky Friday, the most popular day of the year for affairs.

July is the top cheating month of the year followed by June. Other peaks are in September and January as loverats return to their illicit activities after holidays with their families.

Cassandra, 32, Margate ‘We’ve been locked in our homes for far too long and it’s been tough coming up with excuses to have an affair. I’ve had more fun in the last fortnight dating married men than I have all year. Are people more aroused in the summer? I think so, yes. People seek out romance in the summer whether they’re single or married.’

James, 50, Manchester ‘The woman I’m seeing, aside from my wife, I met in January this year. We were suffocated at home over the winter with all the restrictions and it’s been nothing but relief since we met. Our affair is just for us and we’re good at disassociating it from ‘real life’. We’ve decided to have a break over the school holidays though to focus on our partners and kids. We’re meeting up one last time for lunch this Friday and I’m really looking forward to it.’

Jessica Leoni, sex and relationships expert at IllicitEncounters.com said ‘Let’s face it, everybody gets the holiday horn. Not only are people much more cheerful when the sun’s out, they’re sun kissed and show off a bit more skin – it’s the ideal time for romance. It’s been a crazy busy July for affairs as expected – even more so with less restrictions and freedom day giving people the confidence to date again. Everybody just wants to have a bit of fun and those in unhappy marriages are no different.

We all want to feel valued and admired – so why shouldn’t adulterers get their last kicks this Friday before sacrificing the rest of the summer to their families. At least their priorities are straight.’

Mayday – Cheat Alert: Rapid Surge in Adultery!

* 36% increase in affair seekers in the first half of May  – more love rats looking for an affair than any other time of the year thus far
* Bored housewives make up 63% of registration surge
* Chaos on cheating website on the 17th of May as staff pull extra shifts to cope with new registrations
* Warm weather in June and restrictions easing likely to take the numbers even higher, with married-dating website IllicitEncounters.com forecasting a 72% increase in cheating by the summer

Cheating explosion in May as nationwide restrictions are easing.

This is the first time in 17 years that May has seen a dramatic spike in cheats flocking to married dating site IllicitEncounters.com.

36% surge in overall sign ups in the first half of May. Bored housewives account for 63% of the spike compared with 37% men. Perhaps women have been more careful during the pandemic and think now is the time to throw caution to the wind.

The 17th of May saw the biggest increase in activity as the affairs site had to pull staff to work extra shifts in order to cope with new registrations.

May is traditionally a slower month for cheats seeking affairs, this increase is rather unusual. Normally adultery peaks in January, straight after Christmas as fed up spouses add ‘an affair’ to their new year’s resolutions. Another big spike is traditionally seen in July as the weather gets hotter and people fancy getting steamy with a secret lover.

In a survey of 800 new members, 82% claimed that being cooped up with their partner during the pandemic left them feeling suffocated and in need of time apart. Out of the sample 46% have had an affair before, whilst 54% had never been unfaithful before.

Lewis, 46, London, a member on IllicitEncounters.com said ‘I’m in a sexless marriage. You kind of accept that chemistry eventually dies. I got by with the occasional fling, I even had a solid affair with a work colleague for a while. I’ve been faithful throughout the pandemic though – biding my time until it’s safe. I didn’t want to start meeting women when you could only go for a walk in the park. It’s not just sex I’ve missed it’s the thrill of the chase. I’m happy it’s possible again. Besides, it’s much easier to come up with excuses to meet up now than it was before the rules were relaxed. There’s only so long you can ‘walk the dog’ without raising suspicions.’

Yvonne, 50, Glasgow, another member on the site, said ‘My husband and I have an arrangement where we allow each other to sleep with other people. It’s a turn on to talk about it after. Of course, we keep it under wraps from our friends, it might scare them off. I’ve tried and failed to meet someone to have an affair with since I’ve been vaccinated, but recently I’ve been inundated with proposals. Looks like the tide is turning.’

Jessica Leoni, spokesperson for IllicitEncounters.com, said ‘I suspect bookings are through the roof with day use hotels right now. People have been staring at the same four corners of their houses for far too long now and are quite frankly sick of seeing their spouse day in day out, no wonder there’s a huge demand for affairs!

Couples across the country are gasping for the novelty and excitement an illicit encounter can provide. Gosh, I can barely believe I’m saying this, but now that sex is legal with people outside of our own household again – we can expect affair cases to continue to rise.’

Cheating Soars As Schools Reopen

*32% increase in registrations on married dating site IllicitEncounters.com as schools reopen
*Over a quarter of parents have cheated straight after the school run
*Bored housewives make up 70% of registration surge

IllicitEncounters.com the UK’s leading married dating site has seen a 32% spike in the first week of September, as parents of kids returning to school desperate to find an affair partner.

Women account for 70% of new registrations in the first week of September.

44% increase in activity on the website, as parents rush to exchange messages to set themselves up with a date, now there are less childcare commitments.

IllicitEncounters.com surveyed 400 of its members who have all had their kids return to school in the last week and found that 27% have cheated in the last 7 days – immediately after the school run.

Another 22% of parents have enjoyed some extracurricular fun once they’ve dropped the kids back home with their husband or wife.

Only 31% have not yet embarked on a physical affair in the last week.

Olive, a mother using IllicitEncounters.com said “This has been literally the least pleasurable and longest summer on record. Homeschooling, virtual lessons, trying to occupy the kids while practically everything is closed. There’s been no break, no holidays abroad, just childcare, homecare and hell. I have never wanted kids to go back to school more in my life. I have been desperate to have an affair since March!”

Charlotte another member on the site said “Not only have I had to entertain the kids for months on end, but my husband has also been WFH – I have barely had a minute alone all summer. I started having an affair in January, that got cut short because of covid. Months of longing and anticipation, I’m finally seeing him this week after I drop the kids off to school!”

Jessica Leoni sex and relationships expert at IllicitEncounters.com said “Parents have never been this stressed. I can’t even imagine how hard the summer and lockdown has been for families – no peace and quiet, an endless stream of cooking, cleaning and washing, and what’s more – many parents are in disgruntled marriages who are simply at the end of their tether and need a release from the monotony of marital life.

Now that children are going back to school of course housewives will take this opportunity to be kind to themselves and have an affair. Our members have been starved of intimacy, they’re seeking connection and chemistry – and quite frankly, some adult company.”

In the past 7 days when did you cheat?

Straight after the school run 27%

After school when I dropped the kids back with my husband/wife 22%

On my lunch break 14%

I have not physically cheated in the last week 31%

Relationships are Unhappier Since Pandemic

 * 23% increase in marriage breakdowns amidst the pandemic
* 71% of people agree coronavirus has made their relationship worse
* Women are twice as likely than men to demand a break up
* Study conducted by IllicitEncounters.com the UK’s largest extramarital dating site

IllicitEncounters.com has seen a 23% increase of members changing their status from Married to Separated between the months of May and July compared to the same time last year.

It is unsurprising that more women than men changed their status to separated, with another study by a law form concluding two thirds of all divorces are initiated by women*

A further 800 members of the website were surveyed and staggering 71% of those agree they are less happy in their relationship as a direct result of coronavirus, suggesting that marriages have become toxic and unbearable in the lockdown.

Those who agreed covid-19 has made their relationships worse, were asked what they are planning to do to improve their relationship satisfaction, with 42% admitting they hope an affair will make their marriage happier, and a further 22% are simply sticking around to see if things improve.

Kelsey, a member on IllicitEncounters.com said “We argue at the best of times, but covid has made our arguments worse. We can’t escape and let off some steam, I never realised till now how important that is. I don’t know how much more of this I can take.”

Frank, another member on the site said “If it wasn’t for covid I’d have no reason to leave my wife, but the lockdown has opened my eyes to a lot of our relationship issues, issues I’ve ignored or buried in the past. It’s weird breaking up during a pandemic, but I think it’s a good thing.”

IllicitEncounters.com sex and relationships expert Jessica Leoni said “Couples who probably wouldn’t even have dreamt of breaking up – are now running for the hills. If there were any issues before, they’ll have been amplified tenfold during the lockdown. Even the most secure relationships will have felt torturous at times.

Those who have decided to stay together, and sought out an affair instead, may just be able to save their marriages before it’s too late.”

Cheating Could Cause a Second Spike!

* 41% of adulterers set to book sex-getaways from the 4th of July
* 16% of love rats have no qualms about meeting more than one household for affairs
* Over half of those surveyed are not socially distancing when meeting lovers
* Study conducted by IllicitEncounters.com the UK’s largest extramarital dating site

Can you expect cheaters to stick to the rules? Love rats across the UK shun guidelines for intimacy – amidst the pandemic. A British legal firm has seen a 42% increase in divorce inquiries* since restrictions began, indicating that marriages are becoming unbearable in lockdown, these relationship breakdowns are making the need to cheat prevalent.

With lockdown restrictions easing this weekend, IllicitEncounters.com predicts cheating may cause a second spike.

600 members of the site were surveyed regarding how they are managing their affairs, and their feelings about dating during the covid-19 outbreak.

82% of adulterers admit to feeling less lonely since the lockdown restrictions have eased.

54% admit they have not been socially distancing when meeting.

A whopping 41% of adulterers are looking to book a staycation in the UK with their mistress or histress.
16% of adulterers admit they have no qualms about meeting more than one household for affairs.

33% of affair seekers already have a date planned for next week when restaurants and pubs are open.

72% of affair seekers are aware they are breaking guidelines to cheat.

83% think the reward of having an affair far outweighs the risk of contracting covid-19.

22% of cheats have self administered coronavirus tests to check they are in the clear before seeing their lovers.

England’s Chief Medical Officer, Christ Whitty has recently warned that “If people hear a distorted version of what’s being said, that says ‘this is all fine now, it’s gone away’ and start behaving in ways that they normally would have before this virus happened, yes, we will get an uptick for sure.”

Not everyone seems to be clear on what you should and shouldn’t do in the current climate. With many affair seekers choosing to cheat at this time, adultery could possibly contribute to a spike in coronavirus cases.

Gabrielle, a female member using IllicitEncounters.com said “I’ve been really well behaved during this lockdown, and feel it’s finally time to reward myself with a holiday in the countryside with a married man I’ve been seeing. I’m separated so I don’t need an excuse, and he’s just told his wife he’s visiting family in the area. I like dating married men because I don’t want the commitment of a full time relationship”

Emma, another female on the site said “My situation is different in the sense that I live with the person I’m cheating with. I’m in a long distance relationship with my partner who lives in Canada, and we’ve had no way of seeing each other for over 4 months. Me and my housemate really got on, and being cooped up inside all this time, well, things happen. I don’t regret it, I’ve been starved of intimacy so it’s been really great to have a physical relationship again. I still love my partner in Canada, and plan to reunite with him as soon as I can. I’ll obviously be keeping this affair a secret, the last thing I want to do is hurt him.”

Jessica Leoni, sex and relationships expert at IllicitEncounters.com said “It’s interesting to see how affair seekers have continued to keep the spark alive in their relationship. I am delighted to hear that those who are lonely or disheartened at home are able to get some fulfillment from talking to their lovers, communication is truly important right now. Although, we do advise to listen to government guidelines on our website and if meets are unavoidable to adhere to social distancing – we must all practice staying safe.

Lockdown has caused many of us to make sacrifices, and despite the stigma associated with affairs – they are just as much a relationship as any other, and a lot of our members have been lacking that connection for a very long time.”
