Frisky Friday Warning: Today (21st July) is the peak day of the year for affairs

* Today is the day people are mostly likely to cheat on their partner

* July is the most popular month for infidelity, with the end of the school year and higher temperatures to blame

* The Christmas period is the next most popular time for affairs

* The findings come from IllicitEncounters.com, the UK’s largest extramarital dating site

Today has been declared the day that people are most likely to have an affair. Known as ‘Frisky Friday’, it’s the peak day for affairs with people planning to have their last illicit encounter with their lover before schools break up for the summer holidays.

Leading up to Frisky Friday, there was a notable surge in activity on IllicitEncounters.com, the UK’s top website for married dating, with a substantial 52% increase in registrations. Anticipating even more engagement, the platform expects a significant 79% overall upswing on the 21st July, which happens to be the most favoured day of the year for extramarital affairs.

After surveying 1000 male and female members, the site discovered that a significant 89% of adulterers maintain communication with their affair partner during the summer “cheat break”. Additionally, over half of them (58%) have already made arrangements to meet their lovers immediately after the summer holidays in September.

Charlotte from London who uses the extramarital site said, “I’ve been with my husband for years now, and with every day that passes, the spark in our relationship fades. I’ve been seeing a married man for months but we both know the school holidays will make it challenging for us to meet. That’s why we’ve planned to see each other today for one last rendezvous. Don’t get me wrong, we’ll still be in touch over the next month but if I’m honest, I’m already looking forward to September.”

George from Birmingham, who also uses the website, commented, “I’ve been meeting women from the site for years now, despite being married with two kids. Summer holidays are actually the thing I dread most because I know that’s the time I won’t be able to see my lover, and instead I’m forced to play happy families.”

When asked to comment on the Frisky Friday phenomenon, Jessica Leoni who is the sex and relationships expert at IllicitEncounters.com said “July has historically been the busiest month of the year for our website, and the data shows that this year is no different.

The peak tends to come just before and after the summer holidays, as well as the Christmas period – perhaps one of the most stressful times of the year for couples. Knowing that they’ll be taking a “cheat break” pushes people to find the connection they’re lacking at home, and, as soon as the obligatory family time comes to an end, they’re free to do as they please.”

Destination Infidelity: Most men don’t consider affairs abroad as cheating

* 77% of men don’t consider it cheating if they have an affair while on holiday
* Ibiza was voted the top holiday destination where men have a secret fling
* Research conducted by IllicitEncounters.com, the UK’s largest extramarital dating site

With the sunshine finally making an appearance in the UK, Brits have started to plan their summer getaways – but you might want to keep an eye on your man if he’s off on a lads’ holiday. A new study conducted by IllicitEncounters.com shows that the majority of men DON’T consider themselves to be cheating if they have an affair abroad.

Of the 1,800 members polled by the extramarital dating site, a surprising 77% of men don’t see an issue with indulging in an affair on foreign soil, believing it to actually be acceptable.

When asked where in the world they’d had a secret fling, Ibiza came out on top with 44% of the vote. The ultimate lad’s holiday destination often regarded as party paradise is clearly a hotspot for pushing boundaries.

Sailing close behind in second place was Ayai Napa with 41% of the vote. The coast of Cyprus clearly has sex appeal, with its non-stop rollercoaster of sun, sea and partying, and inhibitions are often left at home.

Magaluf made it into the top 3, with 36% of men admitting they’d cheated on their partners whilst soaking up the Spanish sunshine. The famous strip is a winner for men when it comes to cheating abroad.

Shaun, who uses the married dating site, said “What happens abroad, stays abroad. It’s become a bit of a ritual for me and the boys now. Every year we book a week away – sun, good food, great company and if you’re lucky, a nice little one-night stand. Obviously, my wife wouldn’t be too happy if she knew what we get up to, but because it’s just sex and a bit of fun, there’s really nothing for her to be worried about – I don’t love her any less, but life’s short so why not!”

Another member of IllicitEncounters.com, Joshua, said “For me there’s no doubt that cheating abroad is acceptable. Having done it before, it’s just physical, I’m not looking for an emotional connection, so as long as you can separate the two, there’s no harm done. You have a bit too much to drink with the lads, get a little loose, return home and it’s all back to normal – no one needs to know.”

Sex and relationships expert, Jessica Leoni, commented “With temperatures set to rise and the long-awaited arrival of summer finally upon us, you might want to think twice about agreeing to your partner’s lads’ holiday. “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas” according to the majority of men polled. In terms of where men tend to let loose, island destinations dominated the list, with Spain having two spots in the top three with men deciding it’s the best country to live la vida loca.

It’s the mix of sunshine, copious amounts of alcohol and being far away from the wife that could potentially lead your partner astray – and you might be none the wiser when the boundaries of monogamy dissolve stepping off the plane. With lowered inhibitions, it’s all about having a good time, seizing the day and doing things they wouldn’t or couldn’t do back home.”

Has your partner made plans this Friday? They may be cheating on you!

* Friday, July 22nd, dubbed ‘Frisky Friday’, is the day your other half is most likely to cheat on you

* 87% of adulterers said they continue messaging their affair partner during the summer holidays, even though nearly a quarter of all affairs get busted by spouses checking their partner’s phones

* Results come from a study conducted by IllicitEncounters.com, the UK’s leading dating site for married people

Has your spouse made plans this Friday? Careful, they may be cheating on you! Today is the single biggest day a married person is likely to get cheated on this summer.

This year ‘Frisky Friday’ falls on the 22nd of July when adulterers plan to have their last illicit encounter with their extramarital lover before schools break up for the summer holidays.

The week before Frisky Friday, saw 46% more activity on the UK’s leading married dating website, IllicitEncounters.com. The affairs site predicts a 77% overall rise on Friday 22nd of July, the most popular day of the year for affairs.

The site polled 1000 male and female members and found out that 87% of adulterers continue messaging their affair partner over the summer cheat break, with more than half of them (56%) already having plans in place to see their lovers as soon as the summer holidays come to an end in September.

An additional 400 members, that have previously been caught cheating by their partners, were asked how their affair was discovered.

Nearly a quarter of affairs (24%) are busted by suspicious partners going through their spouse’s phones.

The second most popular method of unearthing an affair is a friend revealing the infidelity to them (20%).

Thirdly, cheating partners get discovered when a spouse accesses their computer or laptop (17%).

Other popular cheating busts are checking bank statements (10%), unfaithful partners stumbling on a lie (9%), and catching them in the act either by following them (7%)  or happening to catch them red-handed entirely by accident (4%).

A shocking 5% of affairs actually get busted by partners coming across their spouse’s profile on a dating app/site.

Amber, Newbury, 49, a member using the website said ‘I’ve been married for nearly 18 years and although I love my husband dearly, there’s just no spark.

I’ve had a few flings over the years and I am currently dating another married man. It’s going to be tough to get together over the school holidays so we’re planning to see eachother this Friday one last time. Having a little distance keeps the spark alive as we can still exchange dirty texts and sexy photos, in anticipation of meeting up when the kids are back in school.’

Jessica Leoni, sex and relationships expert for IllicitEncounters.com, said “More people cheat leading up to, or straight after, a family affair. Cheating tends to peak just before and after the summer holidays as well as Christmas – why? Because adulterers know that they have to go on a bit of a cheat break when they’re spending time with family. As soon as the obligatory family time ends, they get back onto the unfaithful train.

Technology has definitely made it easier to cheat, likewise, it has made it easier to catch a cheat out by leaving a digital trail. You have to cheat smart, use passwords and aliases, clear your history, make sure you’re covering up your tracks.’

How did your partner catch you cheating?

By checking my phone 24%

A friend told them 20%

By checking my computer/laptop 17%

They found suspicious transactions on my bank statements 10%

I stumbled on a lie and they figured it out 9%

They followed me and caught me out 7%

They came across my profile on a dating app/site 5%

They caught me in the act by accident 4%

The Grass isn’t Greener: Married Men Cheat with Exes and Regret Splitting Up!

* 34% of married men regret breaking up with their ex!

* ‘I miss them’ number one reason for cheating with an ex-missus, followed by the claim that the sex is better and it’s an easy lay!

* 24% of male love-rats have cheated on their current spouse with an ex

* Results are from a new survey of 800 men by IllicitEncounters.com, the UK’s leading dating website for married people

The grass is always greener on the other side… not!

The USA celebrates National Ex-Spouse Day tomorrow (Thursday, April 14th), would you believe it? In jest of this farcical holiday, IllicitEncounters.com, the UK’s leading website for extramarital affairs, surveyed 800 married men (married in the last 3 years) who have supposedly moved on, to find out what they truly think about their exes! Do men who are cheating on their wives cheat with an ex? Still, miss their ex? Regret breaking up?

It’s every woman’s fear that they won’t live up to their partner’s ex. Turns out you are right to be worried as 34% of adulterous men actually regret splitting up with their ex-partner. With nearly a quarter (24%) admitting to being unfaithful to their current partners with an ex. Over half of those who had not cheated with an ex said they would if they were given half the chance (52%). These stats suggest the doors are never truly closed on an old flame even if you marry somebody else.

The respondents who had cheated with an ex gave reasons as to what motivated them. The number one reason male love-rats cheat with an ex is that they miss them (39%). The second most popular claim is that the sex is better with their ex than with their current spouse (26%) followed by, it’s an easy lay that requires minimal effort (19%). A further 8% admit to cheating on their partner with an ex as a way of fulfilling a sexual fantasy or kink.

We also asked the respondents if it’s possible to be just friends with an ex and an overwhelming 73% of the adulterous men agree that it is absolutely impossible.

Furthermore, we asked the men if they were ever caught slipping by calling their current wives by an ex’s name and a staggering 39% said yes! Probably the last thing you want to do if you’re having an affair with your ex.

Jessica Leoni, sex and relationships expert at IllicitEncounters.com, said “It’s risky business marrying a man that’s already been in a serious relationship or worse, a divorcee. A man with an ex-missus is a man with baggage and a shocking amount haven’t gotten over their ex.

Why do men regret breaking up with their exes? Perhaps it’s taken marrying someone else to find the grass only looked greener from the other side.

Either way, it’s easy to slip under the covers with an ex when things aren’t going so well at home, old habits. They know to satisfy you, how to push the right buttons.

If both parties are game it can be a very safe and fulfilling affair, but if one person wants to get back together then you’re treading dangerous territory. Oh and be careful to not call your spouse by your ex’s name, especially when having sex, that’s a big no-no!”

Case Study

Pete, 43, London

‘My ex Georgie and I were never a good match. We fought constantly, couldn’t agree on a damn thing. I was happy with my new wife Sam for a time. We’re more compatible, but the chemistry isn’t there the same way it was with Georgie.

Six months ago I hooked up with Georgie. We bumped into each other at a mutual friends’ and one thing led to another. It’s happened a handful of times since. We have fantastic sex and I miss her very much. I hate that it’s so good. We’re like magnets that are drawn to each other. I do sometimes wonder about getting back together.’

Holiday romances have the quickest ‘conversion rate’ on the dating scene with sex happening on the second date – twice as fast as if the couple meet at home, according to a new survey

* The second fastest conversion rate is if you meet a potential partner in a nightclub or bar – with sex happening after 2.2 dates;
* The third fastest way of having sex is by meeting someone on a dating website or app – with relationships consummated after 2.5 dates;
* The slowest conversion rate was an office romance at 7 dates because of fears over career disruption;
* The results are from a new survey of 1,000 people by IllicitEncounters.com, the UK’s leading dating site for married people

Couples go on an average of four dates before sleeping together – but the quickest ‘conversion rate’ for sex is when you meet someone on holiday, according to a new survey.

Holiday-makers have sex on average on their second date – twice as fast as if they met each other at home.

The second fastest conversion rate is if you meet a potential partner in a nightclub or bar – with sex happening after 2.2 dates.

The third fastest way of having sex is by meeting someone on a dating website or app – with relationships consummated after 2.5 dates.

These are the most effective ways of speed-tracking the famous ‘three-date rule’ which says that is the optimum time you should wait to have sex to boost your chances of the relationship lasting.

By far the worst sex conversion rate was if you meet someone at work – with sex not occurring until the seventh date on average. The delay here is because of couples’ reluctance to get involved with someone in the workplace in case of career complications.

The results were revealed in a new survey of 1,000 people by the IllicitEncounters.com, the UK’s leading dating site for married people. It found that the average number of dates before sex in all types of dating was four. The only dating method which accorded with the ‘three-date rule’ was when a couple had been set up by friends.

Blind dates have the fourth quickest conversion rate at 3.3 dates, followed by connecting with someone on social media (3.5 dates) in fifth. Sixth place was a chance encounter such as bumping into a stranger on a bus or train (5 dates) and in seventh was meeting a partner through a hobby (5.5 dates).

The gym had the second worst sex conversion rate at 6 dates in ninth place, just behind office romances.

IllicitEncounters.com spokesman Christian Grant said:

“We have just had the hottest summer in more than 40 years and that has been reflected on the dating scene. People have a real ‘seize the moment’ attitude when they are away and they commit sexually far quicker than they would at home because they fear they may never get another chance to sleep with that person. Alcohol obviously boosts conversion rates for people who are meeting in nightclubs or bars.”

“Dating websites and apps are great to way to connect with people quickly. They break the three-date rule because both parties have made a deliberate decision to seek a new partner and that leads to inevitable short-cuts in the route to the bedroom.”

“Lots of people are also on dating sites purely to have casual sex which is why the conversion rate is so high.”

How quickly will you have sex on the dating scene

1. Holiday romance – 2 dates

2. Meeting in a nightclub or bar – 2.2 dates

3. Dating website or app – 2.5 dates

4. Set up by friends – 3 dates

5. Blind date – 3.3 dates

6. Connecting with someone on social media – 4 dates

7. A chance encounter – 5 dates

8. Meeting through a hobby 5.5 dates

9. The gym – 6 dates

10. Meeting your partner at work – 7 dates
