Women reveal the sexiest male professions

p5nxtirq9n40itgvdc5j

The study asked over 1,500 female members of the UK’s largest married dating website what they thought the sexiest profession was for a partner and why. The top result was revealed to be a musician or artist with 32% of the votes, a profession that embodies passion and creativity, which is in stark contrast to the second highest (24%), which was men who work in the financial service sector, the study describing them as ambitious, confident and intelligent.

According to the study, the least attractive profession was a professional footballer; women viewed them as over-confident, vain, self-absorbed and as having a bad reputation.

IllicitEncounters.com spokesperson Rosie Freeman-Jones commented: “Men think confidence is sexy, what they don’t realise is over-confidence can be incredibly off-putting. Women who are looking for extra-marital excitement are often looking for a man who is as attractive on the inside as they are on the outside. They want some one they can have an emotional as well as physical connection with. It appears that whilst footballers may be attractive on the pitch, off the pitch most women feel they would have little or nothing in common with them. So despite their fame and fortune, most women find their arrogance, and reputation as a real turn off.”

Other professions that made the ‘hot’ list include teachers, doctors and writers/journalists. Teachers were described as inspiring, caring and interesting whilst doctors where seen to be professional, motivated and protective.

Joanne, 39, from London, who uses IllicitEncounters.com to meet married men commented “When I am looking for a potential date I am looking for someone who can provide stimulating conversation, who has intelligence, passion and can be creative, I want a man who is motivated. I tend to avoid the vain egotistical types who are more obsessed with themselves and how they look, nothing is more off-putting than a guy who is full of himself.”

Women also found writers/journalists attractive, describing them as creative, artistic and informed. So, despite not earning a footballers wage they along with accountants, teachers and doctors could be next to attract WAG’s.

The Snow may have thawed but some relationships are still frosty

dypazbehszlf2eitlgnu

The recent snow fall has led to an influx in new members signing up to look for extra-marital relationships, with the UK’s leading married dating site IllicitEncounters.com reporting a huge spike in traffic and record new signups over the past week.

But what is the reason for the sudden increase in new members, is it the cold weather, the long dark nights or even the post holiday blues? Research conducted by IllicitEncounters.com has revealed that the most common reasons that men stray from their partners are complacency and boredom.

The research showed that men signing up were mostly looking for an escape from their every day life, with the second most common response being “I am looking for more adventurous sex”.

Senior lecturer in psychology at Manchester Metropolitan University Dr David Holmes, who has researched relationships and infidelity. Stated:

Women look for a better relationship but men look for better sex, a mix that often drops the man into choppy waters. Men often become bored with functional workaholic relationships that are seen as devoid of passion, stimulation and intrigue. In relationships the grass is always greener elsewhere. The excitement of a secret rendezvous and sexual adventures with someone different could act as a fulfilling stimulant. However, most affairs go undetected as they never escalate or develop into competing relationships”

The study also examined what men looked for in a new lovers’ personality. The majority responded that they are after a woman who is sexually confident, surprisingly almost twice the number who were looking to meet a partner with the same interests and values as themselves.

Dr Holmes added: “Couples tend to undervalue sex in their relationship and for some it becomes a chore–getting in the way of more important things. Too many marriages are based on convenience, or only being together for the kids. This is not just fertile ground for affairs but almost certainly will result in one if either partner is a passionate person. Couples should take the need for good passionate sex as the focal expression of a relationship more seriously.’

A spokesperson for IllicitEncounters.com Rosie Freeman-Jones commented: “The snow has certainly has had an effect on people joining the site. Members have told me that being snowed in has left them longing for excitement and an escape from their unsatisfying relationship and this is only heightened by the January blues. When you have been married for a period of time the mystery and intrigue that played a big part in your initial attraction can fade and leave both men and women craving something more.

It is clear from looking at all our members’ profiles that they are first and foremost looking for some excitement and and see an affair as an injection of fun into their mundane routines.”

Additionally when both male and female members were asked “What type of look did they want from a new lover?” The most popular choice was someone more exciting and exotic than their current partner.

Essex boom in online extra-marital encounters as snow falls

eww4f7ueyrz035ladubb

Since last Tuesday over 25% of signups on the extra-marital dating site IllicitEncounters.com have been by those living in Essex, with the majority being women.

The UK’s largest extra-marital dating site, IllicitEncounters.com, first noticed the overall increase in daily signups last Saturday, when the cold weather and snow initially hit Scotland and the pennines, a trend that continued on Sunday when another flurry of memberships were created by people based in Newcastle and Leeds.

However, since the snow has blanketed the entire country the trend has shifted and, instead of the majority of signups coming from the north, the majority of activity has been seen in the east.

The top ten counties that had the most activity were the following:

Essex – 26%

Somerset – 13%

Kent – 10%

Shropshire – 9%

Durham – 8%

Pembrokeshire – 6%

Nottinghamshire – 5%

Aberdeenshire – 4.5%

Greater London – 4%

Cheshire – 3%

A spokesperson for Illicit Encounters, Vanessa Philips, says, “We’re surprised by these statistics as previous figures have shown the south west being the ones most likely to stray when the weather turns for the worse. A couple of years ago it was Devon at the top of this table.”

In the past week the site has seen an increase of over 5,000 signups. In January 2010 a similar pattern emerged with a record number of signups reported. Many new applicants joined from Hampshire, Berkshire, and West Country, with more than 900 new members joining from Dorset, Devon and Cornwall in just three days.

“One of the biggest surprises this year was that in many counties the majority of signups have come from women. This could possibly be due to them having a bit of winter blues and are feeling the come down after the hype of Christmas and New Year.

We’ve also noticed this time round that the average length of time people are spending on the site has increased. They’re not just checking their mail and logging out, they are becoming more involved with other members through online chat and site activities.”

Married Dating Site Exceeds Three Quarters of a Million Members as People Look to Cure Winter Blues

ygugdenxtrnt85qw1f58

The UK’s leading married dating site IllicitEncounters.com has exceeded 750,000 milestone as the effects of the New Year blues pushes people to seek extra-marital relationships. Black Monday (the first working Monday of the new year) is the most popular day of the year for marriage separations and calls to divorce lawyers, but in times of economic uncertainty it seems more people are deciding to stay in unfulfilling marriages and having an affair to fill the void.

The dating website saw a 75% increase in daily new member sign-ups in the period running up to and including the 7th January and the trend is set to continue throughout the month as both women and men look for a new partner outside of their relationship.

IllicitEncounters Spokesperson Mike Taylor said: “The New Year is a time when people are making life changing decisions so an increase in sign-ups at the beginning of the year is no surprise to us. The amount of new members suggests that the economic climate is continuing to take its toll on relationships. We have seen the married dating industry grow experientially over the last 9 years with now nearly 6% of the married population signing up to look for an affair online with someone in the same situation, rather than risking a tryst with a co-worker or their neighbour.”

Studies have shown that more couples argue in January than during any other month, with many trying to deal with the stresses of returning to work, over spending, eating and drinking over the holiday period and money being stretched tighter and tighter by New Year price rises. This leads to an inevitable build up of irritability and tempers are frayed. Add to this the financial implications of getting a divorce and the prospect of having an affair not only starts to look appealing, it becomes a financially viable option.

Richard Smith a researcher for NotAtWork.co.uk said: “This is also a time when people are most likely to start a work-place romance, however I would have to advise them to think twice as a whopping 80% of employers have admitted that they would hesitate to promote a member of staff who had had an interoffice relationship.”

Smartphones help people stay in touch during floods

kra0lns24azzujrefvuk

Many parts of the UK have been affected by the torrential rain and flooding over the last few days. Even under these challenging weather conditions, members of the UK’s largest married dating site IllicitEncounters.com have still been able to log on to check their messages and let their lovers know that they are ok. The site has seen the number of visits from mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets increase considerably in the areas worst affected.

This month has seen some of the worst floods of the year in many areas of the country. According to a Downing Street spokesman 300 properties were flooded in just 24 hours in England and Wales alone, and over 1000 homes have now been flooded. In St Asaph in North Wales the River Elwy rose to 6ft above its normal level with disastrous effects.

Rosie Freeman-Jones Spokesperson for IllicitEncounters.com said: “It has been a nasty few days weather-wise and we wish to extend our sympathies to all those who have been affected by the extreme weather conditions. But thankfully due to the rise in the number of people having smart phones members have been able to access the site and send and receive messages.”

In the last year the UK has shown a large increase in smartphone usage from 30 to 45% of the total population. Also the study by google found that the demographics of smartphone owners are shifting, smartphone ownership has risen sharply for those aged over 45.

Conditions like this highlight our reliance on the internet and communication tools that we have come to take for granted, thanks to the rise in tablet computing and smartphone usage people are still able to stay in contact no matter the weather.

Women Seeking Affairs Are On The Increase

s9azkwtkofh6lcf7ttn8

Women Seeking Affairs Are On The Increase.

Research conducted over the past few years has shown that female infidelity is on the rise – women are now looking for fulfilment outside of their marriage more than ever before.

A recent study by researchers at the Kinsey Institute, Indiana University and the University of Guelph revealed that since the 1990s, women who reported to ever having an affair has risen over 50% from 12% to 19%. Where as men have remained at a stable 23% since the early 90’s.

Mike Taylor, spokesperson for leading Extra-Marital dating site IllicitEncounters.com commented; “We have seen this trend emerging over the last few years with more and more women signing up and looking for an extra marital relationship. It now seems that the infidelity gender divide is closing and women are feeling more empowered and able to seek the fulfilment they want and deserve. Women and men are coming to realise that a monogamous marriage may not be the only option available to them and they are seeking to find like minded additional partners.”

There are now more women in the work place than ever before giving them greater financial independence. Coupled with the growth of the internet, this has played a massive part in enabling women to close the adultery gap on men. They are now more free and able to search for a prospective lover from their laptop. Twenty years ago there were no internet dating sites and women at home during the day had far less opportunity to meet someone who wasn’t the postman or milkman.

The study also showed that if you include all romantic misdemeanour’s such as kissing, women are just as likely to cheat as their male counterparts. If this trend continues we could see adultery becoming as acceptable in society the same way divorce has become acceptable over the last 20 years.

Do You Want To Feel Younger and More Attractive? Have An Affair

qwnreqfi3jpnxbcvypao

Ladies wanting to boost their self esteem are moving away from having their hair done, taking a quick trip to a spa, or even investing in some Botox. A study by leading extra-marital dating site IllicitEncounters.com reveals the new trend for women wanting to look and feeling younger is to have an affair.

The survey found that the majority of female philanderers do it “to feel attractive again”. The site, surveyed over 700 of its female members on the reasons they chose to embark on an affair. Over a third of respondents confessed that they joined to find a man who would make them feel sexy and attractive again.

The second most popular reason women gave as to why they pursue an affair was “For the thrill of it”, cited by 16% of respondents. Where as 15% of women respondence said they were simply looking for “more sex”.

IllicitEncounters.com Spokesperson Rosie Freeman-Jones commented: “It will probably shock some people that ‘sex’, as a reason for pursuing an affair, was so low down on the list. Many women are just longing to feel attractive again, after years without a single compliment from their spouse. Far too many husbands appear to take their wives for granted with some married men finding any form of romantic gesture nye on impossible, leaving their other half to find their lust for life renewed by finding someone who finds them attractive and isn’t afraid to tell them so”

One example is Michelle*, a teacher from Portsmouth, says the survey results reflect her feelings about joining the site. “My husband pays me little attention; I can’t remember the last time he told me I looked nice. The need to feel wanted, to feel desired, just took over last year, and here I am. I am still a sexual being – I needed someone to acknowledge that.”

Other reasons that women gave for embarking on an extra marital tryst were curiosity, boredom with their current situation and the desire to feel in love again.

New Study: Office Based Romance Cost British Companies Millions

fczjygl4y1mxkkfvn40s (1)

No company wants to have to deal with unnecessary and avoidable costs of situations such as sexual harassment, discrimination, health and safety or unfair dismissal claims against the organisation. As well as costing a fortune these actions can harm the reputation of the business and have an impact on the productivity of the staff.

Leading extra-marital affairs website IllicitEncounters.com, In conjunction with NotAtWork.co.uk, commissioned a series of studies and reports to investigate the economic impact on businesses caused by affairs within the workplace.

Two surveys were conducted in October 2012, asking individuals and business owners to answer questions relating to the effect of Office Romances on careers and impact on businesses.

Over a thousand individuals responded to the ‘Are Office Romances a good idea’ survey and over 200 businesses to the ‘Impact of Office Romances on UK Businesses’ survey.

Individuals, when asked if they had ever engaged in an office romance.

  • 75% of respondents have at least considered it.
  • 54% have engaged in at least 1 office romance.
  • 27% have engaged in an office romance more than once.

When asked if their employers had a contractual morality clause forbidding office relationships.

  • 6% stated that their employer had it as part of the terms and conditions of their employment.
  • 35% stated that their employer did not mind at all.

They were then asked if they felt office-based romances can impact on one’s productivity at work.

  • 16% answered ‘Not at all’
  • 84% felt that it would impact productivity at least a little. (38% said it definitely would)

In regards to disciplinary actions related to office romances, 20% of respondents claim that they or a colleague have been disciplined for having a work-place romance.

Businesses taking part in the ‘Impact of Office Romances on UK Businesses’ survey revealed the following:

  • 74% of businesses have no formal or informal policy to discourage staff from engaging in office relationships
  • Only 16% of businesses said that office-based romances had no effect on productivity within their organisation. 48% stated that it would only have minimal impact.
  • Only 19% of businesses stated that an office-based romance would in no way affect the career prospects of those involved.
  • 32% of businesses would consider (or already have) a morality clause in its employment contracts to forbid office romances.
  • 51% of businesses felt recommending employees seek romance outside of their place of work would save them money and improve productivity.
  • In the last 12 months, the average cost to each business from issues relating to office romances was over £65,000. So the total cost to the 200 companies surveyed was in excess of £13 million.

It is interesting then that the majority of businesses acknowledge that office romances can have a negative impact on productivity but over half feel that it is minimal, in contrast to 84% of individuals who stated that it would affect productivity at least a little.

Mike Taylor, Spokesperson for IllicitEncounters.com, said “These are some shocking statistics and we have barely scratched the surface. You will never stop people from developing romantic feelings towards their co-workers which can often lead to a full blown affair. However we offer a discreet and safe online dating platform for those seeking extra marital romances, allowing workers to focus their attention on their work in their work place. ”

Office romances are literally costing UK businesses millions and perhaps too many businesses fail to recognise the magnitude of the impact it has on their organisation. Although a morality clause within an employment contract would seem too drastic an action for many employers, encouraging employees to seek romances outside of work by promoting the use of online dating sites as well as making employees aware of the long term effects an office romance could have on their career can be a more effective and less draconian strategy in refocusing their employees and avoiding costly HR issues.

Half of British wives say they want more sex from their husbands

me15kcgdu8uozyubzneo

A new survey commissioned by leading married dating site IllicitEncounters.com has revealed that half of all British married women don’t get enough sex from their husbands.

The One Poll sex survey of over 4,000 married couples across the UK revealed that just over 50 per cent of married women are not satisfied with their sex life, and in some areas of the country it was even higher than that.

In Wales nearly two thirds of married couples (64 per cent) said they were dissatisfied with the frequency of intimacy with their spouse and couples in the South East were the second unhappiest.

A survey of over 4000 British couples revealed that more than 50% of married women are dissatisfied with their love life

West Midlands’ couples were third in the chart followed by couples in the North West and then Yorkshire and Humberside.

The survey also showed that the number of unhappy husbands was even higher with 70 per cent of British married men saying they were not satisfied with their sex lives.

Rosie Freeman-Jones spokesperson for IllicitEncounters.com, who commissioned the survey said: ‘The overwhelming statistic that we got from this survey is that married women and men are not happy with the amount of intimacy in their life.

‘It’s a very serious position that over half of the wives questioned in all regions of the country have said they are dissatisfied with their marriage because of this.’

The survey also showed that this unhappiness in marriage has led to several wives and husbands having affairs.

As many as 1 in 4 married people in London (25 per cent) admitted having at least one affair and couples in the East Midlands (24 per cent), Yorkshire and Humberside (23 per cent), Wales (23 per cent) and North West (22.66 per cent) also had high numbers of married couples having affairs in response to their sexless marriages.

In London 8 per cent of married partners admitted to having more than five affairs.
