New information released today by married dating website IllicitEncounters.com crushes the argument that people who have no God have no moral compass.

Atheists have less affairs than Christians in the UK with more than ten Christian adulterers for every one Atheist.

IllicitEncounters members were asked what religious group they belonged to and Atheists scored only 6%, compared to 64% classing themselves as Christian.

“It’s incredibly ironic that Atheists are more faithful than Christians,” Claire Page, spokesperson for IllicitEncounters.com said, “It proves the argument that what some people perceive as immoral – like adultery – isn’t increased by the lack of spiritual guidance. People having affairs have helped the economy with a boost of over £1.2 billion, and a stronger economy means more people are having affairs, according to married dating website IllicitEncounters.com. The current strength of Britain’s economy has to thank the adulterers who have injected the country with money.

George Osborne has told MPs “Britain is walking tall again” after five years of coalition government. Research released today by IllicitEncounters.com, the UK’s largest married dating site, shows just how naughty Brits are and how many of us get in it on in unusual and not always the most hygienic places – 500 surveyed were asked where they had sexual relations. The mile high club is less popular than people think – only 0.4% (2 in 500 people) said they had sex in an airplane; 6% had sex on a train or tube; 34% had sex in a toilet; 5.4% had sexual relations on a bus; 7% got hot and heavy in a tent; 76% had intimacies in a car, while 68% got down and dirty on kitchen surfaces.

Microbiologist Rhiannon Hayes said “The London underground is one of the dirtiest places in Britain. Toilets obviously contain a lot of bacteria but interestingly, we found higher levels of bodily fluid in the disabled toilets than in the non-disabled. Train seats are known to contain traces of semen, faeces, urine, alcohol, blood, grease, human skin, hair and sugar. In terms of household bacteria, the kitchen is a hive for germs. The average kitchen surface has very dangerous bacteria such as e-coli, listeria, salmonella and campylobacter – which can cause paralysis. Tents are also crawling with outdoor bacteria such as Xanthomonas campestris, while cars contain over 600 bugs and ten times more bacteria than a public toilet seat.”

“Presumably more people get it on in disabled than non-disabled toilets because there’s more room,” Claire Page, spokesperson for IllicitEncounters.com said, “I don’t see the appeal of intercourse on the tube, but the evidence shows it happens. Apart from anything else, it’s incredibly unhygienic, but when passion is high and alcohol is involved, we all do things that aren’t exactly graceful. Less than a third of people (31%) surveyed cleaned their car annually, while one in nine said they didn’t wipe down surfaces, and two in three said they never hoover their car’s interior.

The most common first thing a woman does after getting divorced is get their hair done, before calling their mother, meeting up with their girlfriends or going for a drink, according to new research by married dating website IllicitEncounters.com. Women tend to follow in the footsteps of Cheryl, Nicole Kidman, Michelle Williams and Jennifer Aniston, all whom had hair makeovers after a breakup.

The research, which surveyed 200 divorced or legally separated female members of IllicitEncounters.com, also found that women having an affair spend up to three times more on visits to beauty salons and hairdressers than their faithful counterparts – one would guess they want to look their absolute best for their illicit lover.

Women also open up more to their hairdressers than some of their best friends or close family members. 62% of women (124) said they would sooner tell their relationship problems to their hairdressers than their mother, father or siblings. 68% of women said they would tell their hairdressers if they were having an affair before telling their best friends.

The top three reasons were:

  • 1)I get less judgement from my hairdresser.
  • 2)My hairdresser doesn’t know my partner so I can be more honest.
  • 3)They will be more honest with me because they know me but they’re not too close to give me a biased opinion.

More women tend to open up more when they’re getting highlights, treatments or cuts, than when they’re having a blow-dry as they’re not shouting over hairdryers.

Psychologist Lucy Redford said “There is a known psychological effect occurring between a hairdresser and their clients, they offer a non-bias, non-judgment environment which makes women feel comfortable in sharing the secrets. Clients place a lot of trust in someone cutting their hair and there is an extension of this trust when they confide in them, oftentimes telling them things they wouldn’t tell their closest friends or family members.”

However this theory doesn’t convert to men, who are surprisingly more likely to share their innermost secrets with a selected best friend rather than a stranger such as a hairdresser or a barber. Possibly the ‘bros before hoes’ code is still going strong among male adulterers enabling them to feel secure and supported whatever their actions may be.

Green Saturday is coming – the day of the year that you’re most likely to get lucky – and its three days before Saint Patrick’s Day, on the 14th March.

IllicitEncounters.com, the UK and Ireland’s top married dating site, surveyed 500 people and asked them what day of the year they would most likely sleep with someone. The majority of people (68% – 342) said they would sleep with someone the weekend before Paddy’s Day, beating New Year’s Eve, Stephen’s Day and Valentine’s Day.

More than a third of those surveyed (36%) said they would sleep with a stranger or someone they met that night. The majority (289 of 500) said they don’t have a regular sexual partner or don’t have sex regularly. 82% of people said they would be drinking on Saturday the 14th. Those who said they would sleep with someone on Saturday the 14th over Tuesday the 17th said their increased drinking pattern directly impacted on their increased sexual activity, and gave the following reasons for choosing the weekend over the official Saint Patrick’s Day:

  • 1)Sunday can be my day of recovery.
  • 2)I won’t have to call in sick on Wednesday when I’m obviously hung-over.
  • 3)I won’t have to work while hung-over on Wednesday.
  • 4)I won’t be drinking too much on Tuesday because I have work the next day and don’t want to be hung over.
  • 5)I’ll be drunk enough for a one-night-stand because I’ll start drinking early on Saturday.

Alcohol consumption levels are dependent on weather for most, as 59% of people agreed that they would ‘drink less if the weather is bad’. Based on this, people will be drinking more than usual because weather on Saturday is predicted to be clear and sunny (14 Degrees Celsius according to weather.com!).

When asked why they will drink less if the weather is bad the top responses were:

  • 1)I prefer drinking outdoors – riverside, or in a park, or in a beer garden.
  • 2)I can walk from pub to pub without getting a taxi if it’s raining.
  • 3)I like relaxing in the sun when I’m drinking.
  • 4)Drinking outside is more social.
  • 5)I have to drive home if it’s raining, but I can walk if it’s sunny, and drink more.

“It doesn’t surprise me that the top day people will have sex this year is the weekend before Paddy’s Day,” Claire Page, spokesperson for IllicitEncounters.com said, “Paddy’s Day is the biggest drinking day of the year, and people are sexually liberated when they’re drunk, so of course Green Saturday will see a lot of people getting lucky! People are usually better at sex after a drink or two. It makes them less tense, reduces their inhibitions and because alcohol is a social lubricant, people are less awkward after a glass or two. The 2015 Index is released today by IllicitEncounters.com, the UK’s largest married dating site and shows the number of people having affairs in every area in the UK. The Index maps IllicitEnounters’ members across the UK giving a very true reflection of where the most and least affairs are taking place.

Beeston is the most unfaithful with 2.54% of the population of the town having an affair. The mayor of Beeston was unavailable to comment on the town’s newfound infamy.

Livingston is the most adulterous town in Scotland and second most adulterous town in the UK with 2.03% of the population straying, while Craigavon in Northern Ireland is the most faithful with only 0.04% of the population having affairs.

Mercedes and Mini Coopers are the most common cars driven by Britain’s adulterers, according to a new study by IllicitEncounters.com, the UK’s top married dating site. The top car for female members is a Mini Cooper with 19.5% of the votes, while the most popular car for male members is a Mercedes with 23% of the votes. If your spouse drives a Toyota they’re less likely to be having an affair, because the two cars driven least by adulterers are a Prius (0.41% of votes) or a Yaris (0.82%).

“It doesn’t surprise me that the top five cars most driven by male adulterers are all luxury cars,” Claire Page spokesperson for IllicitEncounters.com said “Mercedes, BMW, Jaguar, Bentley and Audi all top the list because our typical male member is better educated, earns more and is more successful than the average British male. Our male members tend to have a lot of disposable income. Annual male membership prices range from £999.99 to £2,040. If they can afford this they’ll most likely have the best of everything in life, including a mistress! Mercedes Benz is the most adulterous car in Britain, their branding clearly depicts this sort of lifestyle – all their advertising sells sex. They’ve had ads banned on numerous occasions and their Superbowl commercial featured a Playmate. It’s no wonder Merc-drivers tend to be men looking for an affair to improve their sex lives!”

Space doesn’t seem to be an issue for female adulterers because the Mini was the top choice for the average mistress, almost doubling the female third most popular option of Mercedes.

“In the same way that a dog takes on the personality of its master, cars tend to reflect personality traits of their owner.” Claire Page said “Interestingly, 68% of men said they associated a ‘flirtatious’ personality with Mini drivers, and this prejudice rang true with it being the car driven most by female adulterers.”

The Prius is largely associated with being boring and safe. In Will Ferrell’s The Other Guys, it’s referred to as a ‘tampon on wheels’. This stereotype seems to be accurate in this study because those driving a Prius tend to be the most faithful, securing only 0.41% of votes, 56 times less than Mercedes drivers!

They also know what they like and tend to stick to it – 62% said they would refresh to a new model before a new brand, while only 38% said they would consider changing brands. 71% of men said they believed driving a nice car would impress a date, while only 32% of women said they would care what their date thought about their car.

What your drink says about you!

Your drinks says more about you than your outfit or hairstyle, according to new research released by Illicit Encounters, the UK’s top married dating site. 74% of the 3,000 surveyed members said they could tell more about a person by what they drink than two minutes of small chat. Members were asked to match a personality trait to a list of drinks and the data revealed that 78% of members believe that Champagne is conceited, 58% believe red wine is pretentious, 69% think a Bloody Mary is extroverted, while 64% assume that those who drink a Cosmopolitan are flirtatious.

The study indicates that posher drinks suggest a higher calibre of class. James Bond was on the right track with his choice of spirit, with 72% of members matching the word ‘suave’ to the classic Martini. The cheaper, less sophisticated drinks such as lager are more commonly associated with loudmouths, with 89% relating the word ‘boisterous’ to Beer. We may enjoy our poison of choice – but what does it actually say about our taste, or lack thereof?

Spokesperson for Illicit Encounters Claire Page said “There has always been a social stigma to certain alcoholic drinks. If you think of the typical soccer fan watching a home game at the local stadium, you’d assume he’s got a pint of Fosters in his hand; on the flipside if you consider the drink of choice for a lawyer and his circle of socialites, it’s more likely a bottle of Dom Perignon. It’s a good idea to learn what drink stereotypes are associated with personality traits so you know what to order for a prospective partner, and you don’t offend a classy woman by buying her a pint of Budweiser on your first date!”

The study also found that drinks associated with negative characteristics could only make a person less attractive for 42% of people.
