The results should provide a wake up call for all football fans as the World Cup gets underway; thousands of so called ‘football widows’ are flocking to join-up and look for a extramarital relationship as the world cup frenzy is leaving them feeling neglected by their partners.

The website, which has over 900,000 members in the UK has reported an average of a 67% rise in female activity since World Cup fever swept the nation; the surge of new female member sign-ups further spiked during England’s 2-1 loss to Italy on Saturday.

There was good news for Juan Mata, despite the terrible result for Spain against the Netherlands, he was voted the player most women would like to cheat on their husbands with, and despite her husband not even making the England line-up Abby Clancey snatched the most desirable WAG tittle from Shakira.

The survey also revealed the most unfaithful football fans with French fans taking the trophy for most adulterous, followed by Italy and Brazil with England again being closely beaten by the German fans who took 4th place.

In the last 12 months the site has seen the number of over 60’s in search of an illicit tryst skyrocket to 70 per cent up on the previous year.

Scotland: The perfect Scottish man is over 6ft tall, medium build with strawberry blond hair, strong willed and with a sensitive side. The strong silent type whose actions speak louder than words will win the heart of these ladies.

It seems that Jaguar’s recent #GoodToBeBad ad campaign hasn’t only got the guys engine’s revving – it also has the ladies in a spin as Jaguar drivers win the race in the sexy stakes.

A new survey by female members of the UK’s leading extramarital dating website,IllicitEncounters.com, has placed Jaguar drivers in poll position as the sexiest drivers. The study of over 2,300 female members from the website overwhelmingly placed Jaguar owners on the top of the podium.

The TV advert also features recently crowned ELLE man of the year, Jaguar driver himself and man of the moment actor, Tom Hiddleston. He plays part of a trio of jag driving British villains – and this sexy campaign has defiantly captured the hearts of the public.

Audi and Mercedes drivers also faired well in the study; while Jaguar topped the poll with 37%, Audi came a distant second with 22%, and Mercedes drivers received 17% of the vote. The most surprising factor was BMW drivers not featuring higher on the list of sexy drivers, with one female member describing them as “Arrogant and not sexy”.

With the BAFTAs taking place in London’s Royal Opera House this weekend, the british film industry is set to take over from the palm trees of Hollywood this award season, but it’s not just the incredible films the UK has turned out in 2013 that has got the world’s attention – it’s the British male actors that have ladies everywhere in a spin according to the UK’s leading dating website for extramarital affairs, IllicitEncounters.com.

Rough and ready German Irish actor Michael Fassbender takes third place, with lead roles in ‘The Counselor’ and also ’12 Years a Slave’ in 2013, Fassbender has secured his place among some of today’s greatest actors – and if you saw him ‘Shame’, it’s not hard to understand why the ladies love him.

Classically Hollywood’s leading men top all the sexiest males polls, but the charm and charisma of this trio seem to have ladies going weak at the knees. Valentine’s day is traditionally a time to spoil your partner or show your love and affection for that special someone – but a shocking 87 per cent of us would in fact ditch our significant other to spend it with a celebrity. Research carried out by leading extramarital dating website,IllicitEncounters.com, shows that a staggering number of married people would neglect their spouse if a better offer was available.

For some it may be the chance to meet an idol or go on a date with the actor or actress of their dreams, for others it’s a chance to escape the monotony of a stale relationship. In 2010 an independent survey conducted by OnePoll and commissioned by IllicitEncounters.com, quizzed over 4,000 married people on their relationship habits finding: 70 per cent of British husbands admitted they are not satisfied with their marriages, and 1 in 4 married Londoners admitted to having at least one affair.

The IllicitEncounters.com 2014 study into Valentine’s day romance also discovered that 67 per cent of married couples have been disappointed during previous Valentine’s days, while 48 per cent of new members admitted they joined specifically to find someone to share Valentine’s day with. 76 per cent of women thought that romance was a big deal on valentine’s day compared to only 52 per cent of men viewing romance as important.

A new study by leading extra-marital dating site IllicitEncounters.com has revealed that women are more likely to look for an affair in order to fulfil physical desires, whilst men are looking to make deep emotional connections. The results of the study questioning over 5,789 plus female members shows 72% joined the site because they were unsatisfied with the level of physical intimacy they receive currently within their relationship. Surprisingly, of the majority of the 4,326 plus men questioned, 68% are looking for an emotional or intellectual connection with an illicit lover, rather than just a purely physical one.

As the nation settles down to watch the much-loved Christmas movie, Love Actually, during this festive period, one scene will ring especially true to a lot of philandering men.

Shocking results have revealed that this is far from unusual. Three quarters of men questioned who use the dating website, Illicit Encounters, spend two thirds more on their mistress’ Christmas present than their wives’.

The statistics, taken from a survey of male members, discovered that an average of £173 is splurged on mistress’ presents, compared to £115 spent on their spouse’s gift.

The infidelity prone men were asked to describe the type of Christmas gift they purchased for their mistress and their Mrs and not surprisingly, the majority admitted to choosing something ‘sexy’ or ‘thoughtful’ for their mistress, whilst their wives were not so lucky – most confessing to buying something ‘practical’ or ‘useful for the home’.

Spokesperson for Illicit Encounters, Ava Cooper says: “The difference in the sort of gifts men choose to buy for their mistress and wives mirror the different ways married men often view these two relationships.

“Men often see their mistresses as playing more ‘surface’, decorative roles in their lives, providing sex and affection without much emotional attachment.

“This explains why mistresses receive less practical and more ‘pretty’ gifts.

“On the other side of the coin, a man’s relationship with his wife, after time, becomes less about being pretty and more about being practical – the bigger issues of mortgages and maintenance overtake the seemingly less important things like romance.

“The less a husband thinks of his wife as a sexual being, the more functional and ‘unsexy’ his gifts will become.”

The Christmas season, despite traditionally being a time for family, is when infidelity is rife with over half of members questioned admitting to spending an ‘illicit Christmas Day’ with their lover – most saying today – Friday 20th December is the day they choose to spend together.

One female member, who has been on Illicit Encounters for just over 18 months and said: “I’ve experienced two Christmases while I’ve been on this site and both times my lover and I have escaped to a hotel for the day. I have been given diamond earrings as gifts and am always spoilt by my lovers with expensive underwear and champagne.
