Could Eating Easter Eggs Improve Your Sex Life?

aqmhma5gujznc5jolvwr

It seems there could be additional advantages when giving chocolate eggs to your partner this easter, as a study by leading married dating site IllicitEncounters.com has revealed that 78% of women say that eating high quality dark chocolate helps get them in the mood for lovemaking.

This isn’t a new phenomenon, chocolate has long been thought of as an aphrodisiac by the Aztecs. Montezuma II was noted for consuming vast quantities of the cocoa bean to fuel his lustful appetite for sex. A study conducted by urologists from Milan’s San Raffaele hospital revealed that women who have a daily intake of chocolate showed higher levels of desire than women who did not have this habit. It also showed that chocolate can have a positive physiological impact on a woman’s sexuality.

Spokesperson for IllicitEncounters.com Rosie Freeman-Jones said; “The aphrodisiac qualities of chocolate are thought to come from two chemicals contained in it. The first is tryptophan, which is a key part of serotonin, a brain chemical prevalent in sexual arousal. The second is phenylethylamine, a brain stimulant similar to amphetamine, which is released when people develop romantic feelings. The Italian study also indicated that even women who normally had a lower libido reported an increase in their sex drive after consuming chocolate, which was backed up by the female members we spoke to in our research.”

Whilst 78% of the 3000 women surveyed said that dark chocolate increased their sexual appetite, 48% said they would be put off a lover if he bought her a ‘cheap’ box of milk chocolates. One member, Sally, 47 from London said; “Chocolate does get me in the mood, but it has to be high quality dark chocolate. There is something very arousing about the way chocolate melts in your mouth, it is one of the most sensual experiences in my opinion.”

There are other good reasons to spend the weekend nibbling away on some chocolate, recently it has been claimed that dark chocolate has antioxidant properties, that is can reduce blood pressure and could even help you loose weight.

Some researchers believe that chocolates aphrodisiac properties are too small to have any measurable effect on desire. However even if the effects are are psychological, and not physiological it is still a good excuse to invest in some good quality chocolate for your lover this easter.

Want to sneak away and have an affair? Tell her you are going fishing

bj20lpg7nvgpeeldhczl

If you suspect your husband is seeing another woman and says he “has gone fishing”, the good news is that he has probably just gone fishing. A new study by leading married dating site IllicitEncounters.com has revealed that angling is the excuse that is least likely to be used by cheating husbands as they slip away from their wives.

Over 4000 members of the extra-marital dating site responded to the poll on excuses given to sneak away from their other halves, and fishing came last with just 0.2% of the overall vote. Other low scoring excuses included, visiting the doctors and spending time with an elderly relative. In fact, more men used the excuse of having been arrested than saying they had spent some time trout tickling.

Spokesperson for IllicitEncounters.com Mike Taylor said: “It is interesting that fishing was the least popular excuse, as it would serve as quite a good one. It offers privacy, can go late on into the night and often in places with no mobile phone coverage. All of which are handy settings for engaging in a clandestine romance. During the colder months men switch their excuses from playing golf to going to the gym. Ironically our female members recently voted extreme fisherman Robson Green as one of their top TV heartthrobs, so some women clearly have a soft spot for the fishermen types and would not be put of if they found their man using it as a cover story.”

During the winter months “going to the gym” was the most common excuse as it provides a good cover for being out of the home, anonymity and an explanation for being tired and having just showered before their return home. Some men have even taken up evening classes to use as a cover for a secret relationship which is effective until you have to demonstrate your newly learnt skill.

Working Longer Hours Can Lead To An Affair

pm9gkz5ogtsyfkrpf3c5

Spending more hours in the office is leading to a rise in affairs in the workplace according to a recent study by Notatwork.co.uk and married dating site IllicitEncounters.com. The research revealed that people who regularly worked over 45 hours a week are almost 5 times more likely to embark on an extra marital affair.

It estimated that more than seven million people a year in the UK work unpaid extra hours to hold on to their jobs. The study revealed that employees that regularly do more that 50+ hours a week are those working in the Video games industry, financial sector, medicine, journalism, and the emergency services. With all of them having a much higher than average number of work-based affairs.

The most common reason the respondents gave for working longer hours was that workload has increased in recent years and they fear for their jobs, so they work longer hours to make sure they are secure. The video games industry has long had a reputation of having to work long hours with developers doing 12 to 16 hours a day for three to four months at a time, without extra pay due to the belief if they don’t they will be replaced by younger cheaper talent.

Spokesperson for IllicitEncounters.com, Mike Taylor, said “Working longer hours without additional pay or benefits can push people into making bad relationship decisions. Workers can find themselves in the office late at night, exhausted and feeling low and take comfort with a co-worker in the same situation, this can then develop as they spend more time with each other than they are with their spouses. Over 54% of all workers admitted that at some-point in their career they have considered engaging in a work-based affair and this study shows the likelihood of them doing so increases exponentially when working hours are increased.”

Unemployment fell to 2.5 million between October and December last year and there are 580,000 more people in work than a year ago, but staff are being squeezed into working longer hours whilst taking home less, with average earnings growth slowing to just 1.4%, below the 2.7% inflation rate.

Employers need to recognise that squeezing more hours out of their workers is counter-productive in more ways than one. It affects their workers’ morale, their physical and mental well being and as this study has shown, can also be detrimental to their personal relationships. None of those is going to be of any long term benefit to any business.

Neglected Spouses Ditch Their Partners On Valentine’s Day For An Affair

wiynizyygrszx3n3lidb

Married people in Sussex have topped the list of the people most likely to ditch their spouses on Valentine’s day. The study done by the UK’s leading married dating site IllicitEncounters.comfound that the residents of Sussex were over 3 times more likely to spend Valentine’s day with their extra-marital lover or mistress than their husband or wife.

The study into Valentine’s day romance also discovered that having been disappointed or overlooked during previous Valentine’s days and anniversaries, dissatisfied married people are pre-emptively signing up to look for a new lover for February 14th rather than just waiting to be disappointed again.

The weekend before Valentine’s day saw a large increase in traffic visiting the site and thousands of new members joining the site looking for a date on Valentine’s day after it apparently became clear that a romantic meal or weekend away was not going to happen.

Spokesperson for IllicitEncounters.com Rosie Freeman-Jones said: “Every year we see a surge in the rate of signups shortly after Valentine’s day, however this year we are seeing people who are joining in advance to try and find someone they can spend a romantic night with, rather than just waiting to be let down again as they have in the past. This has been a hot topic on ourletters page with members writing about their plans over the romantic day one member Joshua wrote in to say that he is ‘not going to allow this year’s Valentine’s Day be another miserable reminder of what is and what once was’ and that he is going to proactively look for a date this year. This has gained a lot of sympathy, as well as offers of dates, from other members who have commented on the letter and are in a similar situation.”

The counties containing the married couples least likely to stray from their partner on Valentine’s day are Hampshire, Devon, Cardiff and Bristol, these couples are the most likely to spend the night with their other half and delay seeing their bit on the side until after Valentine’s day.

Rosie added “This should be a cautionary tale to those people who have taken their other halves for granted, that they could be actively looking for romance elsewhere! Also it should offer some comfort to people that if the romance has gone from their relationship, they are not alone in that situation.”

The study also revealed that both men and women where likely to spend almost twice as much on gifts for their secret tryst than their husband or wife, with popular gifts being perfume, trips abroad, champagne or high end electronic goods as offerings to help seduce a new lover.

Women reveal the sexiest male professions

p5nxtirq9n40itgvdc5j

The study asked over 1,500 female members of the UK’s largest married dating website what they thought the sexiest profession was for a partner and why. The top result was revealed to be a musician or artist with 32% of the votes, a profession that embodies passion and creativity, which is in stark contrast to the second highest (24%), which was men who work in the financial service sector, the study describing them as ambitious, confident and intelligent.

According to the study, the least attractive profession was a professional footballer; women viewed them as over-confident, vain, self-absorbed and as having a bad reputation.

IllicitEncounters.com spokesperson Rosie Freeman-Jones commented: “Men think confidence is sexy, what they don’t realise is over-confidence can be incredibly off-putting. Women who are looking for extra-marital excitement are often looking for a man who is as attractive on the inside as they are on the outside. They want some one they can have an emotional as well as physical connection with. It appears that whilst footballers may be attractive on the pitch, off the pitch most women feel they would have little or nothing in common with them. So despite their fame and fortune, most women find their arrogance, and reputation as a real turn off.”

Other professions that made the ‘hot’ list include teachers, doctors and writers/journalists. Teachers were described as inspiring, caring and interesting whilst doctors where seen to be professional, motivated and protective.

Joanne, 39, from London, who uses IllicitEncounters.com to meet married men commented “When I am looking for a potential date I am looking for someone who can provide stimulating conversation, who has intelligence, passion and can be creative, I want a man who is motivated. I tend to avoid the vain egotistical types who are more obsessed with themselves and how they look, nothing is more off-putting than a guy who is full of himself.”

Women also found writers/journalists attractive, describing them as creative, artistic and informed. So, despite not earning a footballers wage they along with accountants, teachers and doctors could be next to attract WAG’s.

Essex boom in online extra-marital encounters as snow falls

eww4f7ueyrz035ladubb

Since last Tuesday over 25% of signups on the extra-marital dating site IllicitEncounters.com have been by those living in Essex, with the majority being women.

The UK’s largest extra-marital dating site, IllicitEncounters.com, first noticed the overall increase in daily signups last Saturday, when the cold weather and snow initially hit Scotland and the pennines, a trend that continued on Sunday when another flurry of memberships were created by people based in Newcastle and Leeds.

However, since the snow has blanketed the entire country the trend has shifted and, instead of the majority of signups coming from the north, the majority of activity has been seen in the east.

The top ten counties that had the most activity were the following:

Essex – 26%

Somerset – 13%

Kent – 10%

Shropshire – 9%

Durham – 8%

Pembrokeshire – 6%

Nottinghamshire – 5%

Aberdeenshire – 4.5%

Greater London – 4%

Cheshire – 3%

A spokesperson for Illicit Encounters, Vanessa Philips, says, “We’re surprised by these statistics as previous figures have shown the south west being the ones most likely to stray when the weather turns for the worse. A couple of years ago it was Devon at the top of this table.”

In the past week the site has seen an increase of over 5,000 signups. In January 2010 a similar pattern emerged with a record number of signups reported. Many new applicants joined from Hampshire, Berkshire, and West Country, with more than 900 new members joining from Dorset, Devon and Cornwall in just three days.

“One of the biggest surprises this year was that in many counties the majority of signups have come from women. This could possibly be due to them having a bit of winter blues and are feeling the come down after the hype of Christmas and New Year.

We’ve also noticed this time round that the average length of time people are spending on the site has increased. They’re not just checking their mail and logging out, they are becoming more involved with other members through online chat and site activities.”

Adulterous behaviour snowballs as snow falls across the UK

eww4f7ueyrz035ladubb

Recent snowfall in the UK has led to hundreds of married people signing up for extra-marital encounters over the past few days, and the upward trend is expected to continue as the weather worsens.

The UK’s largest extra-marital dating site, IllicitEncounters.com, first noticed the increase in daily signups last Saturday, when the cold weather and snow initially hit Scotland and the pennines, a trend that continued on Sunday when another flurry of memberships were created by people based in Newcastle and Leeds.

Tracking the number of new members since the change in weather, a spokesperson for Illicit Encounters, Vanessa Philips, says, “We’ve found that there’s a strong correlation between where the snow falls and the increase in signups, suggesting many join the site when they are forced to work from home due to being trapped in by the snow. Perhaps their preference is to sign up away from the prying eyes of colleagues, or maybe they look to join to escape family frustrations.”

In January 2010 a similar pattern emerged with a record number of signups reported. Many new applicants joined from Hampshire, Berkshire, and West Country, with more than 900 new members joining from Dorset, Devon and Cornwall in just three days.

Philips adds, “As the snow continues to spread across the country and with the blizzards expected to arrive on Friday, we have to prepare for a rise in signups from the South and West. ”

This time round we’ve also noticed an increase in activity on the site and expect much more with Cougar night being held this Sunday. Members are staying on for longer periods than usual and so for the second time in three years we’re having to increase our team to manage the extra demand.”

Cougar night is an event organised monthly on the site specifically for ladies looking to attract a younger man.

“With more wild cats expected to be out to play than ever before, this is likely to be one of our busiest weekends of the year.”

Smartphones help people stay in touch during floods

kra0lns24azzujrefvuk

Many parts of the UK have been affected by the torrential rain and flooding over the last few days. Even under these challenging weather conditions, members of the UK’s largest married dating site IllicitEncounters.com have still been able to log on to check their messages and let their lovers know that they are ok. The site has seen the number of visits from mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets increase considerably in the areas worst affected.

This month has seen some of the worst floods of the year in many areas of the country. According to a Downing Street spokesman 300 properties were flooded in just 24 hours in England and Wales alone, and over 1000 homes have now been flooded. In St Asaph in North Wales the River Elwy rose to 6ft above its normal level with disastrous effects.

Rosie Freeman-Jones Spokesperson for IllicitEncounters.com said: “It has been a nasty few days weather-wise and we wish to extend our sympathies to all those who have been affected by the extreme weather conditions. But thankfully due to the rise in the number of people having smart phones members have been able to access the site and send and receive messages.”

In the last year the UK has shown a large increase in smartphone usage from 30 to 45% of the total population. Also the study by google found that the demographics of smartphone owners are shifting, smartphone ownership has risen sharply for those aged over 45.

Conditions like this highlight our reliance on the internet and communication tools that we have come to take for granted, thanks to the rise in tablet computing and smartphone usage people are still able to stay in contact no matter the weather.

Behaving like Bond can cost you your job

rzo7mx71zfnqjfgqny6e

Having cheated death after being shot in the chest, surviving a parachute malfunction and rising to the top of the CIA. David Petraeus will attest, that unlike fictional spy James Bond, in the real world it’s not a good idea to use your spy charm to seduce the ladies, as getting caught having an affair in the CIA can help you go from 007 to P45.

Gen Petraeus was forced to resign last week, after an FBI investigation uncovered that he had engaged in an extra-marital affair after 37 years of marriage.

Research conducted by IllicitEncounters.com in conjunction with NotAtWork.co.uk has shown that having an affair with someone you work with can have severe affects on you career prospects. Of the business owners who responded to the survey 81% said that having a relationship within the workplace would negatively affect the employment prospects of the individuals involved. A whopping 84% of employees admitted that getting frisky with a colleague would led to a fall in their productivity in the workplace and a shocking 75% of workers admitted they had considered having an office-based tryst.

Spokesperson for IllicitEncounters.com Mike Taylor said: “Having an affair with someone you work with can lead to all sorts of issues. Unlike Petraeus the average worker may not have the FBI poking around their private lives, however that doesn’t mean that it won’t affect their career. That is why over half the businesses surveyed would recommend using a dating site to find romance rather than having their staff seek it out in the workplace”

IllicitEncounters.com is the UK’s leading extra-marital dating site with over 700,000 members and offers its users a secure and discreet service to help them look for a fulfilling relationship, even if the FBI is investigating you.

New Study: Office Based Romance Cost British Companies Millions

fczjygl4y1mxkkfvn40s (1)

No company wants to have to deal with unnecessary and avoidable costs of situations such as sexual harassment, discrimination, health and safety or unfair dismissal claims against the organisation. As well as costing a fortune these actions can harm the reputation of the business and have an impact on the productivity of the staff.

Leading extra-marital affairs website IllicitEncounters.com, In conjunction with NotAtWork.co.uk, commissioned a series of studies and reports to investigate the economic impact on businesses caused by affairs within the workplace.

Two surveys were conducted in October 2012, asking individuals and business owners to answer questions relating to the effect of Office Romances on careers and impact on businesses.

Over a thousand individuals responded to the ‘Are Office Romances a good idea’ survey and over 200 businesses to the ‘Impact of Office Romances on UK Businesses’ survey.

Individuals, when asked if they had ever engaged in an office romance.

  • 75% of respondents have at least considered it.
  • 54% have engaged in at least 1 office romance.
  • 27% have engaged in an office romance more than once.

When asked if their employers had a contractual morality clause forbidding office relationships.

  • 6% stated that their employer had it as part of the terms and conditions of their employment.
  • 35% stated that their employer did not mind at all.

They were then asked if they felt office-based romances can impact on one’s productivity at work.

  • 16% answered ‘Not at all’
  • 84% felt that it would impact productivity at least a little. (38% said it definitely would)

In regards to disciplinary actions related to office romances, 20% of respondents claim that they or a colleague have been disciplined for having a work-place romance.

Businesses taking part in the ‘Impact of Office Romances on UK Businesses’ survey revealed the following:

  • 74% of businesses have no formal or informal policy to discourage staff from engaging in office relationships
  • Only 16% of businesses said that office-based romances had no effect on productivity within their organisation. 48% stated that it would only have minimal impact.
  • Only 19% of businesses stated that an office-based romance would in no way affect the career prospects of those involved.
  • 32% of businesses would consider (or already have) a morality clause in its employment contracts to forbid office romances.
  • 51% of businesses felt recommending employees seek romance outside of their place of work would save them money and improve productivity.
  • In the last 12 months, the average cost to each business from issues relating to office romances was over £65,000. So the total cost to the 200 companies surveyed was in excess of £13 million.

It is interesting then that the majority of businesses acknowledge that office romances can have a negative impact on productivity but over half feel that it is minimal, in contrast to 84% of individuals who stated that it would affect productivity at least a little.

Mike Taylor, Spokesperson for IllicitEncounters.com, said “These are some shocking statistics and we have barely scratched the surface. You will never stop people from developing romantic feelings towards their co-workers which can often lead to a full blown affair. However we offer a discreet and safe online dating platform for those seeking extra marital romances, allowing workers to focus their attention on their work in their work place. ”

Office romances are literally costing UK businesses millions and perhaps too many businesses fail to recognise the magnitude of the impact it has on their organisation. Although a morality clause within an employment contract would seem too drastic an action for many employers, encouraging employees to seek romances outside of work by promoting the use of online dating sites as well as making employees aware of the long term effects an office romance could have on their career can be a more effective and less draconian strategy in refocusing their employees and avoiding costly HR issues.
