Boris Johnson Voted Most Bed-able Politician

What the numbers show

· Boris Johnson voted most bed-able politician
· Adulterers would divorce their partners for Green party leaders Jonathan Bartley and Siân Berry
· Politician we’d most like to avoid is Nigel Farage
· Poll run by IllicitEncounters.comthe UK’s leading dating website for married people

With politics in disarray and nobody quite sure what’s going on with Brexit, one thing is for certain that the race for a seat as a member of parliament has become a popularity contest.

Who to trust to lead our country into prosperity? IllicitEncounters.com put the vote to 1200 of its members with a slightly different kind of poll – asking who they would like to cheat with, divorce their spouse for or avoid. Afterall, cheating and politics has often gone hand in hand.

The poll indicates most women would cheat with Boris Johnson (47%) and more than half of men would be unfaithful with Jo Swinson (51%).

Both Green Party leaders won the divorce spouse for category. Jonathan Bartley came top for women (35%) and Siân Berry for men (22%).

More politicians then ever ranked high in the avoid category with Nigel Farage scoring the highest with 82% of women choosing to avoid him, closely followed by Jeremy Corbyn 74%, Arlene Foster 71% and Nicola Sturgeon 65%. Such high avoid scores suggest that our collective impression of politicians, in general, currently fairs quite low.

Full details of winners are listed below:

Have an affair with

Boris Johnson
Marital Status: It’s Complicated

“The Tory leader has set pulses racing as the most bed-able politician in the upcoming elections. No surprise there, Bojo oozes irresistible charm and he can make a woman laugh – humour goes a long way. Some might even say, one minute you’re laughing, next minute your clothes are off! Boris is a man of his word, or lack thereof, regularly avoiding an interview with Scottish broadcaster Andrew Neil – making him a very discrete affair candidate. Women are safe in the knowledge he can keep things under wraps – including how many kids that he’s fathered.

We can all agree Bojo is a bit like marmite, whether you love him or hate him – it’s safe to say he does attract a lot of attention. Who knows, perhaps Boris could even teach us a thing or two about pole dancing, what a tease.”

Jo Swinson
Marital Status: Married

“Jo Swinson is a natural affair-seekers choice. She is genuine, full of life and inspirational, with a charming Scottish accent to boot. She is also the youngest and only female to ever hold the position of leader of the Lib Dems – this kind of ambition is very attractive. Jo is relatively new to the role, but there is no disputing, that the Swinson Surge truly extends to who voters would most want to cheat on their spouse with.”

Would have a divorce for

Jonathan Bartley
Marital Status: Separated

“Oh, Jonathan. The co-leader of the Green party, and a born and bred Londoner, it is no surprise many women have voted to leave their husbands for him. Jonathan is irresistible, good-looking, with a cracking smile and confidence without the cockiness. To top it off he’s in a band! No matter the age, women will always fall at the feet of a Rockstar. Jonathan is the drummer for the blues rock band the Mustangs and even played Glasto a couple of years ago. Swoon.”

Siân Berry
Marital Status: Single

“Miss Berry the Green goddess, eco warrior once described as ‘environmental viagra’. A blonde, blue eyed beauty – with a lovely smile, not only that but Siân is smart and articulate – it is unsurprising men are drawn to her. Siân embodies the epitome of a strong and confident woman.”

Avoid

Nigel Farage
Marital Status: Married

“Leader of the Brexit party, Nigel is not winning any popularity contests anytime soon. Mr. Farage gives off a demeanour of a villain with controversial views on firearms and immigration. He simply does not appeal to women for any type of romance.”

Arlene Foster
Marital Status: Married

“The northern Irish politician ranks highest in the avoid category for men. Being a married mother of three could easily contribute to her lack of sex appeal for men.”

Cheaters less likely to forgive an affair

What the numbers show

•         8 out of 10 adulterers would divorce their partner if they discovered their partner was also cheating
•         Over half of adulterers would rather be lied to about their partners infidelity
•          More people agree watching pornography is worse than flirting
•          Study released by IllicitEncounters.com the UK’s leading dating website for married people

2000 members on extra-marital dating site IllicitEncounters.com were polled on whether they would forgive their partners infidelity, as it turns out a whopping 8 out of 10 spouses agree they would leave their partners upon discovery of their indiscretions.

The results also indicated that cheaters would prefer not to know if they are also being cheated on, with 58% agreeing they’d much rather be left in the dark. Suggesting that cheating is OK if it’s kept under wraps.

100% of those surveyed affirmed that physical intimacy is considered being unfaithful, as well as cyber cheating (94%)

More members agreed that watching pornography is to be considered unfaithful (21%) compared to only 14% agreeing that flirting is unfaithful.

Erica a member on IllicitEncounters.com said “I’m having an affair for attention; my husband of 14 years now genuinely believes quality time together is watching the telly on a Saturday night. I love my husband and would never leave him but when your husband treats you with indifference what more can you do? I could literally walk into the room naked and he wouldn’t notice.  So yes, if I found out my husband’s lack of attention towards me was being bestowed upon a mistress, I would certainly up and leave”

Olivia another female member using the site said “I’d rather he was having an affair, that I never found out about. What I have outside of my marriage is just a bit of fun and excitement and I’m careful to keep it separate, I don’t want to break up my marriage. Some may call it double standards, but if he was out sleeping with other women and foolish enough to get caught – I’d feel more disrespected that he couldn’t keep it a secret. Have a little flirt if you have to – just be discrete about it.’

Expert comment from Jessica Leoni

Jessica Leoni, spokesperson for IllicitEncounters.com said “It takes a lot to reach that point of realisation that you require more from life than your marriage is capable of providing.

Many people find solace and happiness in extra-marital relationships, but fundamentally treat it as a secret escape, separate from the day-to-day grind of their full time lives. Which comes as no surprise as to why cheaters would prefer not to find out that their other half was also having an affair, c’est la vie! If it’s kept secret it can’t hurt anybody.

What is a little shocking is that so many adulterers would file for divorce if they found out their partner was cheating, it seems the discovery is more painful than the act itself though – so we always recommend hiding your tracks.

On the plus side, flirting is okay! For banter’s sake.”

Results

Do you consider the following to be unfaithful?
Physical Intimacy – 100% agreed
Cyber cheating – 94% agreed
Sexting – 86% agreed
Emotional cheating – 74% agreed
Watching Pornography – 21% agreed
Flirting – 14% agreed

Polish are top European love cheats

What the numbers show

•         More than a quarter of European adulterers in the UK are Polish
•         19% of the Irish population in the UK and 14% of Romanians are cheating
•         Greeks are the most faithful European nationals in the UK
•         Data released by IllicitEncounters.com, the UK’s leading dating site for married people

Could adultery have a nationality? Statistics released by Illicit Encounters gives insight into 2500 of its non-British EU members, revealing the nationalities most likely to be having an affair in the UK.

More than a quarter of adulterers in Britain are of Polish descent (26%)

According to the Office of National Statistics Polish is the most common non-British nationality in the UK since 2007, making up 15% of the total non-British residents* indicative as to why there may be more Polish cheating compared to other non-British nationals.

Second non-British EU national cheating in the UK is Irish with 19% and Romanians come in third place at 14%

The results found that Greeks represent the most faithful non-British EU nationals with only 1% currently having an affair in the UK, followed by Estonians (2%) and Danish (2%)

Lukasz a male member from Poland using the site said “Yes, I am Polish. Yes, I am having an affair. What is the big deal? In my culture we marry young, we have family – divorce is not an option. Most men in long-term relationships, no matter the nationality – are cheating or being cheated on. That is just the state of affairs.”

Expert comment from Jessica Leoni

Spokesperson for IllicitEncounters.com Jessica Leoni said “There is a lot more Polish in the UK than any other nationality, and why should they be missing out on all the fun? Poland has strong traditional values, especially when it comes to family – and we do find a lot of people cheat as an alternative to divorce, ensuring that families remain together. Europeans in general have much more liberal views when it comes to sex and relationships and the Polish are no different.

Why aren’t the Greek cheating? Perhaps they’re more willing to put up with unhappy marriages. Or maybe they’re simply following the advice of Socrates who is credited with saying “by all means, marry. If you get a good wife, you will be happy. If you get a bad one, you will be a philosopher.’”

More Females Cheating than Ever

* 20% increase in female love cheats

What the numbers show

* Biggest spike in 35-45 year old love rats

* Record breaking female sign ups to married dating website IllicitEncounters.com
Since summer 2018 there has been a shocking 20% increase of married women choosing to find sexual liaisons online with men that are not their husbands.

Over the past year lllicitEncounters.com, the UK’s leading extra-marital affairs site, has seen a huge increase of women signing up to their website – with data analyses predicting 2019 to break female sign up records.

The research also indicated that the biggest spike of women joining was in the age category of 35-45 years old – accounting for more than half of the increase in wedded women seeking affairs.

The study also polled 800 of its new female members on IllicitEncounters.com about what their reasons were for wanting to cheat on their partner and found that 31% of females felt they needed an adventure, and 23% were seeking an affair because they were unwilling or unable to have sex with their spouse.

Although the divorce rate in the UK is falling, recent studies reveal that infidelity is on the rise.  Historically men are more likely to cheat than women. However, IllicitEncounters.com has found that attitudes towards adultery are changing.

Experts put this down to the rise in acceptance of female empowerment and equality. TV programs such as ITV’s Love Island actively promote parity between male and female contestants to seek as many sexual liaisons as they wish in their search for a relationship. The popularity of such programmes could potentially be a catalyst towards the 20% increase of woman cheating since last summer.

Joanna a female member using IllicitEncounters.com said ‘I’m cheating because I simply require more sex than my husband is willing to provide, and I feel deprived. Honestly, married life is just the process isn’t it? School, career, husband, house, baby – it’s a checklist. There are other boxes that I need ticked, and sex is one of them – and if sex isn’t on the agenda with my husband, I will look for it somewhere else.’

Expert comment from Jessica Leoni

Jessica Leoni, relationship expert from IllicitEncounters.com said ‘More woman cheat because they can. Once you get a taste for forbidden fruit, that’s all you’ll want from the menu.

We’re teased left right and centre with sex exposure from the media, I know for one that Love Island’s got plenty of my female friends hot under the collar.

It’s exciting isn’t it? All the devilish debauchery! Women are beginning to realise they deserve more, and our female comrades are right beside us to help nurture and encourage our illicit fantasies. The data clearly reveals that female adulterers are more like explorers on the hunt for a new adventure when married life becomes stale.

I think it’s great that ladies are having this shift in consciousness and exploring their sexuality – as Lou Reed once sung, “hey babe, take a walk on the wild side”’

Below are the top six reasons given by women for cheating on their partner:

1.       In need of an adventure 31%
2.       Unwilling or unable to have sex with spouse 23%
3.       I don’t want to leave my partner 18%
4.       I don’t feel appreciated at home 12%
5.       Seeking emotional connection 9%
6.       Other 7%

No deal brexit will see cheating soar

The key findings

  • No deal brexit could see cheating spike by as much as 35%
  • Marriages suffering under intense financial pressures drive infidelity figures.
  • Economic squeeze means it is cheaper to cheat than get divorced.
  • Leave voters found to be more likely to cheat on their spouse.
  • Research conducted by married-dating website IllicitEncounters.com, shows increases in cheating during difficult economic times.

After the government’s shocking defeat on their Brexit deal, the UK could be barreling toward crashing out of the EU with no deal, new research by IllicitEncounters.com shows that this will have a significant effect on adultery in the UK.

What the numbers show

In the event of no deal, at least one sector is set to flourish, infidelity. According to statistics compiled over the the 15 years that the dating site IllicitEncounters.com has been operating, hard economic times typically sees an increase in infidelity. With a no-deal Brexit this could be as much as 35%.

Cost of living isn’t the only thing set to spike in the event of a no-deal Brexit. Cheaters will be seeking solace in the arms of an extramarital partner, as financial pressures take their toll on marriages around the country research shows.

While not quite as costly as the EU divorce bill, ending a marriage is not cheap and people who find themselves wishing they were in the single market end up re-moaning in their marriages, opting to negotiate trade deals outside of their union.

When polled on how they voted in the 2016 referendum, for the second time the Leave voters had a majority, this time it was 70% of the 1000 members of IllicitEncounters.com surveyed that admitted to voting to leave the EU.

How did you vote in the 2016 EU referendum

  1. Leave (70%)
  2. Remain (24%)
  3. Didn’t vote (6%)

Harry, 57 from Great Yarmouth, a member of the site and leave voter told us:

“I voted leave for the promise of a brighter future, what we got instead is 2 years of stagnant pay and price hikes. The financial pressure has my wife and I falling out daily. My lover lets me blow off steam and keep my sanity.”

Spokesperson for the site Christian Grant explains:

“The only certainty around this shambolic Brexit affair, is that the number of people having affairs is going to go up. Significantly.”

“One of the leading causes of tension in a marriage is financial pressure, when the tension gets too much a lot of people find themselves stepping out of the boundaries of their marriage and into the arms of a more sympathetic lover.”

Monday 7th January is the biggest day of the year for affairs

The key findings

  • Dubbed Blue Monday, Monday 7th January sees more couples looking for an affair than any other day of the year.
  • Pro-longed festive period highlights the cracks in relationships.
  • Freezing cold weather likely to take the numbers even higher.
  • Registrations on married-dating website IllicitEncounters.com forecast to be up 28% on the busiest week for cheating.

2018 may have only just begun but affairs are tipped to be at their peak just seven days in to the year.

What the numbers show

Dubbed Blue Monday. The 7th January sees more couples race to extramarital dating site IllicitEncounters.com in search of an affair than any other day of the year. After an overdose of Christmas, the New Year, and most importantly, each other, many couples are making splitting up their number one New Year resolution.

This comes in what is set to be the busiest week of the year for affairs with a forecasted 28% increase year on year in registrations for the UK’s leading dating website for married people IllicitEncounters.com.

In a survey of 500 new signups, 75% claimed that being cooped up with their partner over the Christmas period left them feeling suffocated and in need of some time apart. That, together with miserable cold weather, darker days and the despair of heading back to work has left couples across the country gasping for something new and exciting that the thrill of an affair can bring.

And IllicitEncounters.com sees January every year as the time when couples make their top New Year’s resolution to split and move on from their troubled relationship. Not surprisingly it also happens to be the peak period for divorce lawyers.

Christian Grant, the site’s spokesperson explains:

“The New Year is a time when people are making life-changing decisions so an increase in sign-ups at the beginning of the year is no surprise to us. The amount of new registrations since Boxing Day suggests that this year will be no exception.”

Grant adds:

“A period of family lockdown means couples spend an intense time with each other over Christmas which can be quite claustrophobic. This can lead to a ‘cabin fever’ situation where couples get so infuriated with each other that underlying problems are brought to the surface.”

“Studies have shown that more couples argue in January than during any other month, with many trying to deal with the stresses of returning to work, over-spending, eating and drinking over the holiday period and money being stretched tighter and tighter by New Year price rises. This leads to an inevitable build-up of irritability and tempers are frayed. Add to this the financial implications of getting a divorce and the prospect of having an affair not only starts to look appealing, it becomes a financially viable option.

The 7th January is one of the first days back to work and couples take this opportunity to explore all the things they couldn’t under the watchful eye of their partner.”
