“Darling, I’d rather you Skydive, than tell a lie”

gdg6slgighghmmwlszey

The rush, hit, high, the feeling that keeps you going back for more, over and over again. You’re addicted; even though you know you are risking it all, you can’t control your incessant need for a snapshot of ecstasy. Losing all rational thought, dopamine becomes your common sense enslaving you to focus only on feeding its need for risky reward. As you come back down to earth, you feel still, empty, and the mind is already willing to chance losing everything you have just to satisfy an unforgiving desire to live on a knife-edge, in a heartbeat.

For some the reality of needing this kind of rush is uncontrollable, almost as if the body is powerless to the mind’s desire, regardless of the consequences. Naturally eager and spontaneous, it has been scientifically proven via a study at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City, that this set of people have fewer dopamine-regulating receptors in their brain, making the chemical hit each time they take a risk, unusually big. There are many ways to fulfill this addiction-type need, with extreme sports at the top of the list. Heli skiing, base-jumping, and skydiving along with big wave surfing and bull running, all hit the spot and achieve the aim of losing yourself to the moment without a second thought to the fact you could seriously injure yourself, or worse. And you needn’t think it’s just adrenaline fueled muscle-head guys that are seeking the ultimate high either, growing numbers of women are more than happy to give the boys a run for their money. This area of the sporting world may have long been dominated by men, but that’s changing fast as women are gaining ground and showing men how it’s done, not only with a high physical ability, but also a complete mental understanding.

Then there is another type of risk taking where the stakes are just as high: having an affair. The need to embrace risk is strikingly similar, all in a haze of adrenalin; you are willing to risk losing the one you love just for the thrill of tasting forbidden fruit. Reputations hang in the balance, the stigma attached to being a cheat, and even breaking up a family are all forgotten in the blink of a lustful eye, pretty selfish all round. But is jumping out of plane or off a building any less selfish? No stigmas for sure, it’s brave, heroic, taking a chance, and ultimately many would comment, “I wouldn’t do it! But as you take the chance and dance with death each time, is that not just as selfish as having an affair? Is it fair on your partner to risk your life each time you hunt down the next big wave? Or is it simply that it is more socially acceptable to risk your life, than have an affair?

We asked our male and female members at Illicitencounters.com if they regularly took part in any extreme sports, and the numbers were surprising high. The top extreme sporting choice for both sexes was Rock Climbing, followed by Heli Skiing and Skydiving for the ladies, while Skydiving took second place for the men and Bull Running came in third. Clearly a multitude of high-risk activities is essential to the equilibrium of the buzz hungry individual.

If something were to happen while engaged in a sport, that would of course be terribly tragic, but more acceptable to the partner of a cheat. “Go out and risk your life darling by all means, just don’t cheat on me, okay?” A little tongue and cheek of course, but reading between the lines, it strikes me that because the act of infidelity reflects badly on all involved, telling your partner to “Go jump off a building!” in a rage, maybe be closer to the truth than we wish to admit.

Move over Stags – Hens rule the roost!

ygkqjzmrgys6qxa7kzwx

It is almost expected that a Stag will be temped to get up to no good on his last night of freedom as a single man. As the bright lights of Vegas call, an endless supply of drinks, a bevy of beauties gyrating in thongs, surrounded by friends and no future wife in sight; it’s a classic setting for a fidelity slip up with “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas” as the group mantra.

There is however a new tribe in town who rival the need to enjoy their last night of ‘freedom’ even more than their clichéd counterpart: Hens on a mission. These ladies aren’t going to sit at home worrying what their future spouses are up to, they simply have the ‘If you can’t beat, them join them’ ethic and see an opportunity to put traditional values to one side for the night.

The Hen party allows a forgotten night of activity with a ‘Get out of Jail free’ card mindset of reasoning. In the same way many name drinking as a top reason for an indiscretion, this one wild night before committing to “until death do us part” makes it acceptable to behave out of character while they are swept away with a potent cocktail of festivities and ‘last chance’ undertones.

Illicitencounters.com, the UK’s largest website for married people, surveyed both their male and females members back in 2011, finding that 11% of men to only 3% of women admitted cheating on their stag & hen nights. When they ran the same survey again this Spring – the ladies nearly equalled the men in the cheating stats. This total change of trend in a classically male arena shows a massive shift in times, and attitudes.

With this change in mind, lllicitencounters.com also wanted to see if ‘Bro code’ rules applied to ladies and asked on a recent survey “Does what happens on a hen do stay on a hen do?” A strong 91% females members answered ‘Yes’. It seems Sisterhood can more than match the classic ‘Bro code’

Rosie Freeman-Jones, spokesperson for Illicitencounters.com comments “Today Women are just as empowered, if not more so than men to look out for their ladies, sticking firmly together whatever a friends actions maybe, and hen party antics are no exception”.

Illicitencounters.com member* Alice Smart, 35 from Surrey, told us “I did have a one night stand on my hen party, but in a strange way I felt entitled to. I could not wait to marry my husband, but I also felt a burning desire to behave as if I was a single girl that night. When I confided in my girlfriends they were non judgemental and could understand why the temptation to have one last throw away night would appeal”

So while Stag nights remain in the *top 3 of occasions where females worry their partner will stray, Hen parties look set to place themselves firmly in the mind of males: not so cliché…

Sean Connery Tops Sexy Over 60’s Poll!

t7gzfb9kryhfqqwmsshg

Women have voted Sean Connery the sexiest over 60 celebrities. The smouldering Scottish Actor who is 82, has been voted as the over 60 star, who women would like to ditch their other half for.

The former James Bond has previously been voted as the Sexiest man of the Century in 1999 and has been named as one of the 100 sexiest men in film history and can now add sexiest man over 60 to his accolades.

Harry Potter star Alan Rickman 67, came in second in the poll of 2,900 female members of leading dating website Illicitencounters.com.

Spokesperson for IllicitEncounters.com Mike Taylor said; “Maturity is becoming a more common trait we are seeing members looking for in a partner. We have seen an increase in the number of women joining who are less concerned about a mans age and more attracted to their experience and intelligence. Their has also been an increase in the number of so called sliver foxes signing up and highlighting their salt and pepper locks.”

Another former James Bond came in third, the classically Shakespearian trained Timothy Dalton beat competition from Welsh crooner and The Voice star Tom Jones, who beat musicians Rod Stewart, David Bowie and Eric Clapton all of which made the top ten on the list.

However the survey was bad news for Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger, who despite being in the midst of a sold out world tour and headlining Glastonbury this summer, only just scraped into the top 10.

Name Age Percentage
Sean Connery 82 26%
Alan Rickman 67 18%
Timothy Dalton 69 12%
Tom Jones 72 10%
Jeremy Irons 64 9%
Rod Stewart 68 8%
David Bowie 66 6%
Eric Clapton 68 5%
Roger Moore 85 3%
Mick Jagger 69 1%

Could Eating Easter Eggs Improve Your Sex Life?

aqmhma5gujznc5jolvwr

It seems there could be additional advantages when giving chocolate eggs to your partner this easter, as a study by leading married dating site IllicitEncounters.com has revealed that 78% of women say that eating high quality dark chocolate helps get them in the mood for lovemaking.

This isn’t a new phenomenon, chocolate has long been thought of as an aphrodisiac by the Aztecs. Montezuma II was noted for consuming vast quantities of the cocoa bean to fuel his lustful appetite for sex. A study conducted by urologists from Milan’s San Raffaele hospital revealed that women who have a daily intake of chocolate showed higher levels of desire than women who did not have this habit. It also showed that chocolate can have a positive physiological impact on a woman’s sexuality.

Spokesperson for IllicitEncounters.com Rosie Freeman-Jones said; “The aphrodisiac qualities of chocolate are thought to come from two chemicals contained in it. The first is tryptophan, which is a key part of serotonin, a brain chemical prevalent in sexual arousal. The second is phenylethylamine, a brain stimulant similar to amphetamine, which is released when people develop romantic feelings. The Italian study also indicated that even women who normally had a lower libido reported an increase in their sex drive after consuming chocolate, which was backed up by the female members we spoke to in our research.”

Whilst 78% of the 3000 women surveyed said that dark chocolate increased their sexual appetite, 48% said they would be put off a lover if he bought her a ‘cheap’ box of milk chocolates. One member, Sally, 47 from London said; “Chocolate does get me in the mood, but it has to be high quality dark chocolate. There is something very arousing about the way chocolate melts in your mouth, it is one of the most sensual experiences in my opinion.”

There are other good reasons to spend the weekend nibbling away on some chocolate, recently it has been claimed that dark chocolate has antioxidant properties, that is can reduce blood pressure and could even help you loose weight.

Some researchers believe that chocolates aphrodisiac properties are too small to have any measurable effect on desire. However even if the effects are are psychological, and not physiological it is still a good excuse to invest in some good quality chocolate for your lover this easter.

Want to sneak away and have an affair? Tell her you are going fishing

bj20lpg7nvgpeeldhczl

If you suspect your husband is seeing another woman and says he “has gone fishing”, the good news is that he has probably just gone fishing. A new study by leading married dating site IllicitEncounters.com has revealed that angling is the excuse that is least likely to be used by cheating husbands as they slip away from their wives.

Over 4000 members of the extra-marital dating site responded to the poll on excuses given to sneak away from their other halves, and fishing came last with just 0.2% of the overall vote. Other low scoring excuses included, visiting the doctors and spending time with an elderly relative. In fact, more men used the excuse of having been arrested than saying they had spent some time trout tickling.

Spokesperson for IllicitEncounters.com Mike Taylor said: “It is interesting that fishing was the least popular excuse, as it would serve as quite a good one. It offers privacy, can go late on into the night and often in places with no mobile phone coverage. All of which are handy settings for engaging in a clandestine romance. During the colder months men switch their excuses from playing golf to going to the gym. Ironically our female members recently voted extreme fisherman Robson Green as one of their top TV heartthrobs, so some women clearly have a soft spot for the fishermen types and would not be put of if they found their man using it as a cover story.”

During the winter months “going to the gym” was the most common excuse as it provides a good cover for being out of the home, anonymity and an explanation for being tired and having just showered before their return home. Some men have even taken up evening classes to use as a cover for a secret relationship which is effective until you have to demonstrate your newly learnt skill.

Working Longer Hours Can Lead To An Affair

pm9gkz5ogtsyfkrpf3c5

Spending more hours in the office is leading to a rise in affairs in the workplace according to a recent study by Notatwork.co.uk and married dating site IllicitEncounters.com. The research revealed that people who regularly worked over 45 hours a week are almost 5 times more likely to embark on an extra marital affair.

It estimated that more than seven million people a year in the UK work unpaid extra hours to hold on to their jobs. The study revealed that employees that regularly do more that 50+ hours a week are those working in the Video games industry, financial sector, medicine, journalism, and the emergency services. With all of them having a much higher than average number of work-based affairs.

The most common reason the respondents gave for working longer hours was that workload has increased in recent years and they fear for their jobs, so they work longer hours to make sure they are secure. The video games industry has long had a reputation of having to work long hours with developers doing 12 to 16 hours a day for three to four months at a time, without extra pay due to the belief if they don’t they will be replaced by younger cheaper talent.

Spokesperson for IllicitEncounters.com, Mike Taylor, said “Working longer hours without additional pay or benefits can push people into making bad relationship decisions. Workers can find themselves in the office late at night, exhausted and feeling low and take comfort with a co-worker in the same situation, this can then develop as they spend more time with each other than they are with their spouses. Over 54% of all workers admitted that at some-point in their career they have considered engaging in a work-based affair and this study shows the likelihood of them doing so increases exponentially when working hours are increased.”

Unemployment fell to 2.5 million between October and December last year and there are 580,000 more people in work than a year ago, but staff are being squeezed into working longer hours whilst taking home less, with average earnings growth slowing to just 1.4%, below the 2.7% inflation rate.

Employers need to recognise that squeezing more hours out of their workers is counter-productive in more ways than one. It affects their workers’ morale, their physical and mental well being and as this study has shown, can also be detrimental to their personal relationships. None of those is going to be of any long term benefit to any business.

Neglected Spouses Ditch Their Partners On Valentine’s Day For An Affair

wiynizyygrszx3n3lidb

Married people in Sussex have topped the list of the people most likely to ditch their spouses on Valentine’s day. The study done by the UK’s leading married dating site IllicitEncounters.comfound that the residents of Sussex were over 3 times more likely to spend Valentine’s day with their extra-marital lover or mistress than their husband or wife.

The study into Valentine’s day romance also discovered that having been disappointed or overlooked during previous Valentine’s days and anniversaries, dissatisfied married people are pre-emptively signing up to look for a new lover for February 14th rather than just waiting to be disappointed again.

The weekend before Valentine’s day saw a large increase in traffic visiting the site and thousands of new members joining the site looking for a date on Valentine’s day after it apparently became clear that a romantic meal or weekend away was not going to happen.

Spokesperson for IllicitEncounters.com Rosie Freeman-Jones said: “Every year we see a surge in the rate of signups shortly after Valentine’s day, however this year we are seeing people who are joining in advance to try and find someone they can spend a romantic night with, rather than just waiting to be let down again as they have in the past. This has been a hot topic on ourletters page with members writing about their plans over the romantic day one member Joshua wrote in to say that he is ‘not going to allow this year’s Valentine’s Day be another miserable reminder of what is and what once was’ and that he is going to proactively look for a date this year. This has gained a lot of sympathy, as well as offers of dates, from other members who have commented on the letter and are in a similar situation.”

The counties containing the married couples least likely to stray from their partner on Valentine’s day are Hampshire, Devon, Cardiff and Bristol, these couples are the most likely to spend the night with their other half and delay seeing their bit on the side until after Valentine’s day.

Rosie added “This should be a cautionary tale to those people who have taken their other halves for granted, that they could be actively looking for romance elsewhere! Also it should offer some comfort to people that if the romance has gone from their relationship, they are not alone in that situation.”

The study also revealed that both men and women where likely to spend almost twice as much on gifts for their secret tryst than their husband or wife, with popular gifts being perfume, trips abroad, champagne or high end electronic goods as offerings to help seduce a new lover.

Adulterous behaviour snowballs as snow falls across the UK

eww4f7ueyrz035ladubb

Recent snowfall in the UK has led to hundreds of married people signing up for extra-marital encounters over the past few days, and the upward trend is expected to continue as the weather worsens.

The UK’s largest extra-marital dating site, IllicitEncounters.com, first noticed the increase in daily signups last Saturday, when the cold weather and snow initially hit Scotland and the pennines, a trend that continued on Sunday when another flurry of memberships were created by people based in Newcastle and Leeds.

Tracking the number of new members since the change in weather, a spokesperson for Illicit Encounters, Vanessa Philips, says, “We’ve found that there’s a strong correlation between where the snow falls and the increase in signups, suggesting many join the site when they are forced to work from home due to being trapped in by the snow. Perhaps their preference is to sign up away from the prying eyes of colleagues, or maybe they look to join to escape family frustrations.”

In January 2010 a similar pattern emerged with a record number of signups reported. Many new applicants joined from Hampshire, Berkshire, and West Country, with more than 900 new members joining from Dorset, Devon and Cornwall in just three days.

Philips adds, “As the snow continues to spread across the country and with the blizzards expected to arrive on Friday, we have to prepare for a rise in signups from the South and West. ”

This time round we’ve also noticed an increase in activity on the site and expect much more with Cougar night being held this Sunday. Members are staying on for longer periods than usual and so for the second time in three years we’re having to increase our team to manage the extra demand.”

Cougar night is an event organised monthly on the site specifically for ladies looking to attract a younger man.

“With more wild cats expected to be out to play than ever before, this is likely to be one of our busiest weekends of the year.”

£2.5Billion A Year Spent On Office Affairs

bbd3e1oey4xb4bzlduo1

A study commissioned by leading extra-marital affairs website IllicitEncounters.com in conjunction with NotAtWork.co.uk has revealed that office romances are costing British Businesses £2.5 billion a year.

The survey conducted in October 2012, asked business owners and employees to answer questions relating to the effect of Work-based Romances on businesses. It had some startling results, of the individuals questioned 75% admitted to thinking about engaging in an office romance and 54% already had, with a shocking 27% having done it on more than one occasion.

84% of individuals stated that it would affect their productivity within the workplace, costing their companies thousands. In fact in the last 12 months, the average cost to each business surveyed from issues relating to office romances was over £65,000. So the total cost to the UK companies in excess of £2.5 billion.

Mike Taylor, Spokesperson for IllicitEncounters.com, said “£2.5 Billion is an insane amount of money for companies to be spending or losing due to office-based romances, whilst most UK businesses don’t have contractual rules against employees fraternising, over 50% of the businesses surveyed acknowledged the financial implications as they would actively recommend using a dating site to find romance rather than having their staff seek it out in the workplace.”

However, some businesses are still failing to recognise the full magnitude of the problem. Although it would seem too drastic an action for many UK employers to introduce a morality clause within an employment contract. Some large US companies have had them for some time such as Disney who recently spent £2.5 Billion on Lucas Films, some of which probably came from money saved by having a morality clause.

The Daily Mail is the No:1 choice for cheating housewives

yuzyby4sbzsj2wzlqlir

A new survey conducted by IllicitEncounters.com, the UK’s leading Extra-marital affairs, has revealed that over 54% of female members list The Daily Mail as their newspaper of choice. It appears that women are not just content with reading about the tawdry affairs of celebrities and politicians, but are in fact actively seeking out one of their own.

The men’s newspaper of choice of newspaper was split more evenly between The Times 32% and The Telegraph with 27%. This is unsurprising, as a large proportion of male members on the site are successful city workers who are more attracted to the content of broadsheet papers.

IllicitEncounters.com spokesperson Mike Taylor said: “I am sure it will be disappointing for some of the newspapers writers to hear that some of their readers are not upholding the same moral standards that they are famous for preaching in their stories. It could be argued that, by them doing so, these papers are having a reverse psychological effect and actually helping to push people towards having an affair as an act of rebellion.”

The survey also revealed that only a small number of male members admitted to regularly reading tabloid newspapers, The Sun being the most popular and garnering only 8% of the male vote. It appears that men are choosing to spend their spare time online seeking their own extra-marital liaisons instead of reading about yet another footballer’s indiscretions off the pitch.
