New research released today shows that 67% of women won’t go on a first date on Friday the 13th, even if is it Valentine’s Eve. The study, by IllicitEncounters.com the UK’S largest married dating site, asked 1,500 female members if they would go on a date tomorrow – Valentine’s Eve, Friday the 13th and a staggering 1,005 women said they wouldn’t, even if it was with someone they really liked!

The 33% who said they would go were asked ‘If you went on a date, how would it affect you?’ and the results were:

1)At the back of my mind, I’d think the relationship would be doomed (43%)

2)I wouldn’t have sex in case it was bad (25%)

3)I would notice anything bad happening and put it down to Friday 13th (20%)

4)I wouldn’t have sex in case I got an STI/pregnant (18%)

5)It wouldn’t affect me (14%)

“There are many different reasons men will ask a girl out this Friday the 13th” Claire Page, spokesperson for Illicit Encounters said, “The good restaurants are booked up by now for the 14th February, so if you ask a girl out last minute, you might have to settle for Valentine’s Eve, not Valentine’s night. Another reason men are booking restaurants, hotels and theatre outings tomorrow is because Groupon, Wowcher and LivingSocial deals aren’t valid on Valentine’s Day. Psychologist Lucy Redford said “If the main reason men are booking dates on the 13th instead of the 14th is to save money, this won’t be well received by women in the slightest. Being a miser isn’t attractive to anyone, especially on Valentine’s Day. Everyone wants to feel important and avoiding the international celebration of love for the sake of saving money tells a women she’s not worth the financial difference. Women are especially competitive about things like: where they went and what they got for Valentine’s Day so, in a way, yes, on this occasion Friday the 13th could prove unlucky for men across the UK!”

New research released today by Britain’s largest married dating site, IllicitEncounters.com, shows that women cheat more on accountants than any other profession! When 1,500 female members across the UK were asked ‘What does your husband do for a career?’ the highest percentage of them (13%) said they were accountants.

The top six reasons these women started affairs were:

“Stability, both financial and personal is the number one thing people seek in marriages,” said psychologist Lucy Redford, “The typical accountant is seen as stable, reliable and responsible. Consciously or sub-consciously, all women seek these characteristics in a mate. The number one reason people stray from marriages is because excitement is replaced by routine, and what was once seen as a spark becomes a chore. Every relationship requires work, but it still needs to be worth working for.”

Following on from news that Friday the 2nd of January is dubbed ‘Divorce Day’ by the legal community, the UK’s leading married dating website, IllicitEncounters.com, has revealed that Monday 5th January, is the most adulterous day of the year.

When most of the British public goes back to work after a busy and stressful Christmas it makes for the most likely time that UK married couples would embark on an affair.

Statistics show that January is the time most married people either think about embarking on an affair – or splitting from their partner completely, making it Britain’s bleakest month of the year for marriages.

This follows research conducted that shows that 1-3 married people think they may have married the wrong person or for the wrong reason.

Christmas and New Year is a week of family lockdown when there is no excuse for avoiding family time this leads to people seeking extra-marital relationships, which rises significantly after the majority of the British public go back to work.

Spokesperson for IllicitEncounters.com Mike Taylor explains: “Christmas and New Year are times when couples spend an intense period of time with each other and their families. This can be quite claustrophobic and sometimes leads to a ‘cabin fever’ situation where both parties feel irritated with each other and underlying problems are exasperated. The office Christmas party season has arrived and a new study of over 1,500 workers conducted by leading married dating site, IllicitEncounters.com, has revealed a shocking 34% of workers have admitted to sleeping with a co-worker whilst attending their company’s Christmas party.

The study also showed that over 60% had drunkenly kissed someone they work with, and nearly a quarter of people (25%) admitted to calling in sick the next day with a hangover. Possibly clouded by alcohol – 18% made a poor career move and used the Christmas party as an opportunity to tell their boss exactly what they thought of them, while 25% had decided it would be an appropriate time to chat them up, perhaps trying to secure a pay rise or bonus.

It seems that whilst some sayings about mens feet may be a myth the UK’s largest dating site for people looking to have an affair IllicitEnconters.com has conducted some new research on its male members and found a correlation between a man’s shoe size and their likelihood of having an affair.

It seems the larger the shoe size the more likely men are to have an affair with the most faithful men having a shoe between 7-9 and those men with size 10+ feet being over 3 times more likely to have an affair.
