Men, Watch Your Backs – Nearly a Third of Guys Would Sleep with a Close Friend’s Partner!

Look away now fellas, as nearly a third of you (31%) would cheat with a close friend’s partner! That’s according to a survey by IllicitEncounters.com, the UK’s leading dating website for married people, who asked their male members whether, if given the chance, they’d cheat with their best friend’s partner.

Spokesperson for IllicitEncounters, Christian Grant, explained: “The idea of a ‘bromance’ only goes so far. It’s all well and good saying that you’ve got your friend’s back, but, when presented with the opportunity, a significant amount of men abandon all code and loyalty, acting purely on instinct.”

An anonymous respondent shed a little light on the situation, stating: “The buzz from the proximity/danger would be amazing,” before adding that “it would be difficult to maintain that relationship for any length of time.”

The survey also found that, astonishingly, 17% have already cheated with a close friend’s partner, with this respondent describing his experience: “She was hot. We were both frustrated with our home lives. We had the perfect excuse to see each other often. In terms of the experience it was great whilst it lasted. Very intense physically. It became more difficult though as her relationship was breaking down from both parties’ perspective and I felt she was looking for more from me.”

Another added: “We always flirted and laughed so when her husband went away I took her out one night and we ended up in a delightful 5 year-long affair.”

Grant adds: “It might be shocking to some, but things of this nature happen all the time, and not just to a guy that you know – everyone is susceptible. Heck, just look at Simon Cowell. Sure, he’s not proud of what he’s done, and he probably knew beforehand the potential implications of sleeping with his best friend’s wife, but that didn’t stop him – now he’s a father, albeit a happy and proud one.”

Interestingly, IllicitEncounters also surveyed their female members, posing the same question. In complete contrast to the men, only 12% of women claimed that they’d cheat with a close friend’s partner, with just 10% admitting that they’d already done the deed.

In fact, the general consensus amongst women was that friendship was far too precious to risk for an affair. An anonymous respondent said: “Never make love by the garden gate, love is blind but the neighbours ain’t!” As one respondent put it, “some things are sacrosanct. Friendship is one of those things.”

Women spend more time and money getting ready for an affair than on dates with their husbands.

A new poll conducted by IllicitEncounters.com the UK’s largest extra-marital dating site has found that on average women spend six times the amount of time and money preparing for a date with their lover than they do with their spouse having surveyed 2000 of it’s female members.

The findings reveal that the average time spent getting ready to meet their husbands is 30 minutes compared to 3 hours getting ready to meet their lover.

The average amount spent on preparing for a date with their husband was ‘£25 or less’ compared to ‘£150 or more’ for their lover.

Out of those surveyed 72% of women said they go to the Salon to prepare for their affair-meet.

Those who went to the Salon were asked what services they used and the results reveal getting a ‘Blow Dry’ as the top affair preparation with 63% of women opting for this service.

Bankers are even bigger cheats when it comes to affairs

The UK’s largest extra-marital affairs dating website IllicitEncounters.com has released figures that suggest that those working in finance are most likely to have an affair then say those working in Government (3%) or in Engineering (6%).

Out of the 20 listed occupational fields a staggering 18% of active members have selected Financial Services as their occupation, indicating that bankers are currently the top cheating profession. The site is seeing more people from the financial sector seeking an affair, with an 8% increase of members joining IllicitEncounters.com since January this year.

Interestingly only 2% of active members are tradesmen opposing the myth that tradesmen have a womanising reputation. It is in face bankers that are laughing all the way to the bank.

Intelligent People More Likely to Cheat, Especially Women!

Intelligent people are most likely to have affairs, especially women, according toIllicitEncounters.com, the UK’s leading married dating site.

The website looked at the educational qualifications of its nearly 1 million members in the UK. The findings show that 72% of female members have higher education qualifications of Bachelor’s Degrees or above whereas male members fared slightly lower with 65%.

Education, however, was not a standalone factor when analyzing a person’s intelligence. The website also cross examined the profiles of 500 currently active members of IllicitEncounters.com and found that 61% spoke more than one language, 48% described themselves as ‘creative’ and 34% ran their own business.

The majority of members on the site are in senior professions and earning high salaries (either in the higher rate or additional rate tax band), it is clear that intelligence impacts success.

“Appearing to have a successful life immediately makes you more desirable.” Claire Page, spokesperson for IllicitEncounters.com said, “It is unsurprising that successful people are faced with temptation when others are instantly attracted to them. Successful people tend to be high earners who have the financial means to indulge in an additional discrete relationship. They are also natural problem solvers and better negotiators who are more likely to take calculated risks – if they see a problem in their marriage but for whatever reason they cannot or do not want to leave, the obvious solution is to have an affair!”

The rise in women choosing to cheat on their spouses could be due to women choosing to focus on their careers and have children later in life, with the average age of women having kids currently at 30 years old. With better financial stability and less commitment, wives choosing to have an affair are on the increase.

The National Opinion Research Centre’s General Social Survey of American Society 2013 confirmed there has been an increase in women having affairs by 40%, while men having affairs remained consistent at 21%. With better financial stability, better education and less commitments, attached women choosing to take on another lover are on the rise.

New research released today by Britain’s largest married dating site, IllicitEncounters.com, shows that women cheat more on accountants than any other profession! When 1,500 female members across the UK were asked ‘What does your husband do for a career?’ the highest percentage of them (13%) said they were accountants.
