Just remember the first meet is JUST for a coffee/tea/drink [delete as appropriate] with NO obligation on either side. Choose a location you are comfortable with as well as being somewhere you can have a reasonable explanation for should you meet someone you know. Another useful thing is to have Plan B … a coffee shop at a retail park if possible is handy … you can always go shopping if either he/she doesn't show up or to treat/console yourself if the meeting went well or didn't go as you had hoped. At least you haven't had a completely wasted journey either way! [spoken like a true shopaholic :-)]

I think this is a fairly human reaction... I think being honest with the person you want to meet helps. You can talk through it together, which is better than the many ghostings that occur on this site.
As for ‘messing up and getting caught’, this is just as likely to happen with online antics... you’ve made a decision to join this site for a reason, hopefully the risk with be rewarded...

feeling nervous/worried is natural, but remember it's also just adrenaline and you can manifest that into anticipation and excitement instead... before you know it the feelings are positive and exhilarating not scary and intimidating ;-)

Just seeing what is out there and if I want to take the next step. Not sure how the whole affair thing works. How far I should be looking to ensure I don't know anyone who etc.
