It’s like trying anything the first time, always scary. Bite the bullet and remember why you are doing this. You have nothing to lose.

If it involves an illogical or hasty rearrangement at the last minute. It invariably starts off a descent into chaos. Im more likely to say cancel then rearrange.

No cold feet here...I really enjoy meeting new people, but only after lots of online and telephone chat to make sure it’d at least be a fun first date. Even if we don’t click in person, it’s great to see someone to get to know them better and figure if you’re compatible for more intimate meetings.
It’s only a drink or two on the first meet anyway right, or have i been doing it wrong?! 😂

I should think its normal because its someone you dont really know but if we all kept getting cold feet nobody would ever meet. Good luck sweet x

Life is full of risk. If you don't dip your toes on the pool of anxiety now and again, you'll always think, should I have at least tried?

There's a reason why we are here. Most hide with no picture. Those who show want to attract and therefore take the risk.

Even if there's no connection, why shouldn't we be able to strike up a conversation with a stranger, we do it all the time.

Accept the reason why you've ended up here and embrace it

I was meeting someone for a drink, he came out to get me in the pub car park. I thought I’d put my handbrake on, I rolled back into the hedge. 😳

"How far I should be looking to ensure I don't know anyone who etc."

Whilst you don't want someone in the same village/town/city if at all possible and risk running into them at the supermarket, etc there is no guarantee you won't run into anyone you know in any location. Decide how far you can reasonably travel.

Also helps if it's in an area you have a good reason to be at. Remember, if your excuse is that you'll be in one part of the country, make sure you are at least approximately in that direction and not at the opposite end of the country!

Don’t worry... you can only make a complete prat of yourself and have your dreams shattered in seconds! Apart from that, what are you worried about?

Personally they make for better stories! To much success is overrated, often making the individual lack character and empathy!

So to any women that wants to meet me, by tripping over in all your finery, with toilet paper stuck to your heels or hanging out of their skirts... gets bonus points in my book!

It makes you endearing and lovable!!!

All my best relationships started with a disaster!

Usually me!!
