Revealed: Where Adulterers Meet to Cheat!

43285b96b67fbad5af6fe5469e363081

  • Coffee houses and restaurants are the most popular locations for adulterers to meet for a first date as they provide a good alibi should you spot someone you know
  • 10 miles away from your house/work is the best distance for adulterers to meet if they live or work in a city, 15 miles in small villages or towns
  • 65% meet during work hours, while 24% meet up on the weekend and 11% on weeknights
  • The most popular hours to sneak out for an affair during the working day are between 12-3pm and 4-6pm.
  • The research comes from the UK’s leading dating website for married people, IllicitEncounters.com

Arranging to meet with an adulterer for a first date? Your safest bet might be a coffee shop, just make sure it’s a way away from home, so says new research.

IllicitEncounters.com, the UK’s leading dating website for married people, surveyed over 1500 members to find the locations where adulterers meet for a first date. 38% of adulterers meet at a coffee house, 25% at a restaurant, 20% at a bar, 10% at a pub, and 3% at a hotel (4% chose ‘other’).

Spokesperson for IllicitEncounters.com, Christian Grant, explains:

“Needless to say, the general idea here is not only to have an exciting date, but to not get caught. A coffee house not only provides a decent stop for a first date, but a good alibi too. If you get spotted, it’s not exactly improbable for someone to believe that you just got talking to a random stranger in a packed coffee house.

The same could be said of a bar or a pub; it might not be someone’s idea of a romantic first date, but when you’re just getting started, it provides some much needed security.

However, some people skip the pleasantries and just meet at a hotel. Each to their own.”

The research also found that adulterers in bigger cities meet, on average, 10 miles away from their home and/or workplace, while those in smaller, rural locations stray slightly further from home, with an average of 15 miles.

“Don’t defecate where you eat, so they say,” says Grant.

“Meeting in a neutral location is key; you don’t want to be looking over your shoulder for the entire date in fear that you’ll bump into someone you know. It’s even more important for those in smaller towns – news travels fast in small areas.”

65% of adulterers admitted to meeting during work hours, while 24% meet up on the weekend, and 11% on weeknights.

The most popular hours to sneak out for an affair during the working day were between 12-3pm and 4-6pm.

“Those ‘meetings’ that your manager attends out of the office at random hours during the day? Maybe they’re not the sort of meetings that you think they are,” says Grant.

“With familial responsibilities during evenings and weekends, the working day is the least suspicious and easiest time to sneak out for an affair.”

An Open Relationship: Saving Marriages, One Couple At a Time

openinfographiclr

Is your marriage a train-wreck? The best way to save it could be by entering into an open relationship, new research has claimed. More than 1500 people took part in a poll, with 5% noting that they have entered an open relationship after having experienced struggles in their current marriage.

Of that 5%, a little over half (52%) noted “a significant” improvement in their marriage after making the decision to enter an open relationship, with 44% specifying that they were more satisfied in the bedroom.

“It’s a difficult concept to come to terms with,” explained Christian Grant from extra-marital dating website IllicitEncounters.com.

“Entering an open relationship might seem scary to some, as it completely undermines everything we’re taught about love and marriage, but more and more people are warming to the idea.”

The results shed some light on how the modern relationship is changing, with more people trying a different approach to turn around their struggling love lives.

“People in an unhappy relationship or marriage are often too scared to speak up and act to save what’s left,” says Grant.

“The UK has one of the highest divorce rates on the continent*, so something’s clearly going terribly wrong somewhere, and not enough is being done to fix it.”

However, Grant explains that the recent research indicates that the paradigm is finally starting to shift.

“With many divorces proving to be far too messy financially, amongst other things, more and more people are seeing open relationships as an excellent solution to their problems. Don’t knock it before you try it.”

Kerry, who has been using IllicitEncounters.com for 3 years, said: “I initially intended to use the site to have an affair, but I opened up to my husband and we’ve been in an open relationship ever since.

I’ll admit that it was a little weird at first, but my husband and I found ourselves happier than we’d been in a long time. Now, we’re both on the site regularly to look for other partners. It’s not as common as a ‘normal’ relationship, sure, but who’s to say what’s normal and what constitutes happiness anyway?”

More Women Will Have An Affair In 2016 Than Ever Before, And Here’s Why…

affair_2_1.135143956_std

Fellas, lock up your wives, the average woman is more likely to have an affair in 2016 than ever before, so claims IllicitEncounters.com, the UK’s leading dating website for married people.

IllicitEncounters.com studied various data trends, including the increase in their female membership year-on-year since the site’s inception in 2003, and the activity of their female members, to predict that women are up to 20% more likely to have an affair this year compared to 10 years ago, and up to 33% compared to 20 years ago.

Christian Grant, spokesperson for IllicitEncounters.com, explains: “There are several reasons for this predicted upward trend, not least of which is the advancements in the way we communicate. Sites like IllicitEncounters.com could not and did not exist 20 years ago, but now we live in a world where you’re only ever a few clicks of a mouse away from finding a potential lover. Meeting someone, and hiding your tracks, has never been easier.”

In fact, January saw IllicitEncounters.com receive almost double the amount of female sign-ups on a daily basis compared to the same time period in 2015. But, although instant messaging services and various social media platforms have undoubtedly aided affair-seekers, the leap in technology is not the sole catalyst behind this predicted increase in female adulterers, as Grant explains.

“Having an affair is being seen as less of a cardinal sin and more as a daily occurrence – a fact of life. You take one look at the news and you see François Hollande, President of France, cheat, then it’s Kristen Stewart, darling of Hollywood, or John Terry, once England captain for many years – it’s an absolutely endless list, and it undoubtedly has a big influence on the behaviour of the public. We always look to others to justify our own actions – it’s basic human nature – so to see so many celebrities have affairs, people, or in this instance, women, begin to think, ‘yeah, why not, it’s perfectly normal.'”

The influence of culture and society doesn’t stop there, however, with Grant adding: “The modern day affair is very much a product of its time. The 21st century woman, or at least the stereotypical image of her, is independent, one who is far less reliant on her husband than she has ever been.

With women slowly but surely edging closer to financial equilibrium, the potential threat of divorce, and the lack of financial security that comes with it, no longer looms large – with women earning more on average than ever before, they’re less dependent on their partner to provide for them; in other words, there’s less risk attached to their affair, assuming their husbands find out of course, so they’re invariably more likely to cheat.”

Sophie, 39, is a frequent user of IllicitEncounters.com, and she explains: “I think that women are encouraged to feel more empowered in this day and age. Add to the fact that women are working longer hours, developing more stress, and require more stress-relief…

About 10 years ago, women would go to work, pick up the kids, go home, cook dinners – that’s all changed. There are more child care options than ever before with nannies and au pairs, and the concept of being a dad has changed too –  now, dads spend more time with their kids in order to allow their wives to have more time on their own, without realizing what they might be up to.”

Wey aye, man! Men Would Cheat on their Wives with Geordie Lasses More Than Anyone Else!

Cheryl_Cole_Cannes_2014

Women of Newcastle, hold your heads up high, affair-seeking men across the UK have just voted you their #1 choice for the women that they’d most like to have an affair with. That’s according to IllicitEncounters.com, the UK’s leading dating website for married people, who surveyed over 1400 of their male members.

IllicitEncounters.com’s spokesperson, Christian Grant, explains: “Geordie’s are known for being hot. Whether it’s Cheryl, Holly Hagan, or Vicky Pattison, Newcastle is well-known for producing some of the most attractive women in the country, so it’s not a surprise to see them fare so well among our members.”

Andrew, a 38-year-old business executive from London, added: “While women from Newcastle are known for their looks, there’s also something to be said for the city itself – it’s a great place to go and visit, and somewhere you’d look forward to meeting up with someone, although I’d probably have to pick up some of the local lingo first!”

“Location is always a big consideration for anyone looking to have an affair,” explains Grant.

“The idea is to escape from your existing miserable marriage, and Newcastle as a city provides some comfort, with plenty of nightlife and things to do.”

But while it might be good news for those in the North-East, it’s not pleasant reading if you’re from the midlands, with Birmingham and Coventry making up two of the bottom three places.

“What comes to mind when you think of Birmingham?” says Christian Grant.

“Gloomy, industrial, Jasper Carrott – that’s not exactly screaming ‘come and get me’ now is it? Newcastle represents youth and fun; the Midlands couldn’t be further from that. It’s just all a bit boring really, isn’t it?”

The misery for those in the Midlands is compounded further, with one respondent adding: “there’s nothing really sexy about the Midlands is there?”

Joining Birmingham and Coventry down the bottom is Liverpool, while London and Manchester round off the top 3.

Locations Percentage
Newcastle 14%
London 12%
Manchester 10%
Edinburgh 10%
Bristol 9%

Monogamy Isn’t in Our DNA! New Survey Shows That Even People in A Happy Marriage Cheat Too

the-real-reason-happy-married-people-cheat-is-so-surprising

One thing’s for certain, only people in a crumbling marriage cheat. Except, that’s not true at all. IllicitEncounters.com, the UK’s leading and longest running dating website for married people, surveyed 1000 of its members, finding that 45% of affair-seeking men and 34% of affair-seeking women declared themselves to be in a happy marriage.

“It’s a result that may surprise some,” says IllicitEncounters.com’s spokesperson, Christian Grant.

“A common misconception is that anyone who cheats must be at the end of their tether with their partner, and that simply isn’t true. What’s equally as false is the idea that anyone who seeks an affair does so purely because they’re ‘bad’ or ‘immoral’ – there are all sorts of reasons.”

One of those reasons, as one anonymous respondent explains, is the lack of intimacy that develops the longer a marriage goes on: “[I’m] happy with life running smoothly in most respects. I have a comfortable life and I get on with my wife and we are good friends. [However] she is older than me and is no longer interested in a physical relationship and thus the warmth that goes with that. I still want that physicality but not in one night stands – in a long-term old fashioned relationship of getting to know each other.”

And he’s not alone, with a further 30% of men (and 27% of women), claiming that a lack of intimacy and passion is the main driving force behind their desire to have an affair.

Another claims: “Although absolutely lovely, my partner is not enough for me. I need a lot of attention, affection and conversation, and he is not able to meet those needs due to working long hours and being very tired when at home.”

Grant adds: “Maintaining the level of passion and intimacy in a relationship is incredibly difficult. Are we meant to be monogamous by design? The evidence suggests otherwise. It seems to be the case that a once romantic marriage can often develop into something that resembles the relationship between a brother and sister. Some people can live with it. Most can’t.”

However, an affair isn’t always driven by lust. There are, in fact, a plethora of different reasons, with IllicitEncounters.com’s survey finding that 30% of men and 22% of women noted health issues as their main motivation to search for a partner outside of their current relationship.

One respondent noted: “My partner lost her libido 2 years ago as a result of menopause, so there’s no longer any intimacy, sexual innuendo or lovemaking.”

“It might be tough to talk about, but for a lot of men and women of a certain age, things like menopause, erectile dysfunction and a handful of other barriers come into play,” explains Grant.

“It’s unfortunate and unavoidable, but it invariably has a negative impact on the intimate side of one’s relationship.”

Finally, the survey found that, for 20% of men and 25% of women, cheating on their partner was an integral component of keeping their marriage a happy.

“Variety is the spice of life,” says one female respondent. “Having an affair actually keeps me married – i.e. I don’t walk out because I’m bored or unhappy.”

The remainder of the respondents listed miscellaneous reasons for their desire to have an affair.

Adulterous Behaviour Could Reach Record High As the UK Begins to Freeze

cold-weatherX2

Wrap up warm, turn on the central heating, oh, and maybe keep an eye on your partner, too. As Britain braces itself for the coldest winter in nearly 60 years, the nation’s leading and longest running dating website for married people, IllicitEncounters.com, is sending out a warning of its own – more snow and colder weather means an increase in adulterous behaviour.

IllicitEncounters.com noted a significant increase in registrations and activity on the site, correlating with the recent change in weather, as well as the particularly harsh conditions in the north of England.

IllicitEncounters.com’s spokesperson, Christian Grant, explains: “January is always a particularly busy time for the site, but there’s an unmistakable pattern linking the harsh weather to an increase in the number of members registering, along with an increase in their activity, even during times of the day that are normally less busy.

Why? Well, the increase in the number of people working from home is certainly a factor. Needless to say, the number one priority for anyone who chooses to sign up to our site is anonymity and discretion.

However, with the significant majority of our members occupied with work for large parts of the day, it can be a little difficult to find the right time to sign up and frequent the site. But with floods, freezing temperatures, and maybe even snow potentially trapping the nation indoors, anyone can sign up without the prying eyes of their boss and colleagues – without the threat of constant surveillance, there’s very little to deter someone from signing up and frequenting the site during office hours.”

Jennifer, a 42-year-old accountant from North Yorkshire, adds: “The rough weather, particularly up here in the North East, has left a lot of people unable or unwilling to leave their home. After being stranded at home for a few days with my husband, who was firmly fixated on Sky Sports for almost every waking minute, signing up to a dating website such as this seemed like a no-brainer.”

This isn’t the first time that IllicitEncounters.com has experienced such an increase in registrations thanks to the harsh weather. A bout of snow that hit the UK a few years ago led to a drastic increase in activity on the site, but Grant predicts it to be even greater this time around.

“With experts claiming that the country is due to experience its worst bout of snow since 2010/11, and the worst winter in nearly six decades, there’s no reason to doubt that people across the country will sign up to the site like never before. We’re certainly bracing ourselves, with everyone on the team expecting to work extra hours just to keep up with the demand.”

Put A Cork In It – Drinking Red Wine Could Signify That Your Partner’s A Cheat!

Woman-Drinking-Red-Wine2-1024x574

Goodbye Wetherspoons, hello Oddbins – yes, red wine has become the go-to alcoholic drink of choice for affair-seeking women up and down the UK. That’s according to a survey by IllicitEncounters.com, the UK’s leading dating website for married people.

Of the 2000 women who participated in the survey, just shy of a quarter gave their vote to red wine, with its nearest competitor, gin, receiving 20% of the vote. Is it the taste? The units? The potential health benefits? Christian Grant, IllicitEncounters’ spokesperson, sheds a little light on red wine’s victory.

“In every new relationship, both partners are eager to better themselves and impress their opposite number. Red wine has always been associated with class, intelligence and elegance – to a certain extent, it’s a status symbol.

So, if you’ve noticed that your wife has ditched the unknown brands of vodka and gin and is starting to spend a worrying amount of time studying wine labels in her local supermarket, it could be a telling sign that she’s trying to impress someone new.”

Several anonymous respondents pitched in with their reasoning, with one stating: “First impressions are everything, and wine has too many positive connotations to pass it up! It might seem like just a small thing, but it can only help your image.”

The survey also found that the perceived health benefits that come with consuming red wine were a defining characteristic in its victory.

Grant explains: “Whenever you enter a new relationship, your appearance and health is always at the forefront of your mind. Study after study has suggested that red wine can prevent cancer, dementia – a whole host of diseases and illnesses, in fact – but, most importantly, it contains anti-aging properties.

There’s a lot to suggest that red wine does more good than harm – certainly more so than any other alcoholic beverage out there – and a woman looking to better herself for the new man in her life will most definitely take all of that into account.”

Women Vote the Scottish Accent as the Sexiest, But It’s Bad News If You’re from Essex

gerard-butler-hugo-boss-main

It’s the luck of the…Scottish? Yes, a quarter of British women have declared the Scottish accent as the sexiest, trumping the previous winner, the Irish accent.

In a poll conducted by IllicitEncounters.com, the UK’s leading dating website for married people, the Scots trumped their neighbours with 25% of the vote. IllicitEncounters’ spokesperson, Christian Grant, explains: “A thick, deep accent exudes manliness, and on that criteria, the Scots have left the rest comfortably behind.”

“The popularity of the Scottish accent is also in no small part thanks to the array of Scottish actors, from Gerard Butler to David Tennant, and James McAvoy to Ewan McGregor; hot guys, hot voices,” added Grant.

Despite being knocked off their perch, the Irish accent still remained a popular choice among women, solidifying second place with 20% of the vote. It’s bad news however for the Essex contingent, with just 3% of women finding the dulcet tones of an Essex lad sexy.

“TOWIE might dominate the ratings, but that doesn’t necessarily translate well for blokes,” said Grant.

“The Essex accent can often be associated with the Joey Essex’s of this world and, for reasons best left unsaid, that isn’t a good thing.”

The full results for the sexiest male accent are as follows:

Accent (Male) Percentage
Scottish 25%
Irish 20%
Posh 13%
Welsh 12%
Liverpudlian 9%
Manchester 8%
Spanish 6%
Other 4%
Essex 3%

But it’s not all good news for the Scots; they might have dominated the male charts, but they didn’t fare so well in the female category, with men preferring a more European pallet. The French accent topped the men’s choice for the sexiest accent, closely followed by Spanish and Italian accents.

Connor, a 37 year-old sales manager from Watford, said: “A French accent is synonymous with elegance, class and romance…not to mention it’s unbelievably sexy!”

“The French accent is undeniably appealing because of what it represents: French cuisine, haute couture, style – French women possess this inimitable appeal that men find hard to resist,” explained Grant.

The full results for the sexiest female accent are as follows:

Naughty, Not Nice – The Five Christmas Gifts That Indicate You Might Be Dating An Adulterer

Cristmas-Gifts

Has your partner been naughty or nice this year? You won’t need Santa’s help for this one, just take a peek at their Christmas list. The advice comes from the UK’s leading dating website for married people, IllicitEncounters.com, who surveyed over 1500 of its members to find out the gifts that top their Christmas lists.

IllicitEncounters’ survey found that men were most keen on the following gifts this Christmas:

5. Underwear – 10%

“With the amount of adverts featuring hot, well-built blokes, it’s easy to understand why a man might consider a pair of CK briefs as a must-buy this Christmas,” explains IllicitEncounters’ spokesperson, Christian Grant.

“Although women will undoubtedly be more impressed, or not as the case may be, by what’s underneath, it hasn’t stopped the 10% of our respondents who are hoping to unwrap some designer briefs on the 25th”.

4. Fitbit– 17%

“After years of lazing around the house caressing his gut, your man has decided to slim down, but there’s a good chance that he isn’t doing it for you,” claims Grant.

“This epiphany isn’t a coincidence – there’s a good chance that an extramarital relationship is what’s driving him”.

3. Fragrance – 20%

“Has your man upgraded from a £5 Adidas cologne to the latest from Christian Dior? It might be worth keeping an eye on,” says Grant.

2. New Phone – 22%

Male or female, young or old, mobile phones always prove to be among the most popular gifts at Christmas year in, year out. But doesn’t your partner already have a phone? Why would he need another? Grant explains: “So many men purchase a ‘burn phone’ to use solely to contact their extramarital partner. Ask yourself: is his current phone working perfectly? Did he only purchase it recently? And now he wants a new one? Alarm bells should be ringing, ladies.”

1. Designer Clothes – 23%

“Whether it’s designer brands or a brand new suit, every girl is crazy about a sharp dressed man, so don’t be surprised to see your partner asking for an entirely new wardrobe this Christmas,” claims Grant.

IllicitEncounters also surveyed its female members and found similar results. “Male or female, affair-seekers all have the same thing in common: they want to look good, feel good and keep their illicit relationship as discreet as possible,” says Grant, “…so it’s not surprising to see that a new phone, perfume and some irresistible lingerie ranked high among our female members’ Christmas lists”.

Men, Watch Your Backs – Nearly a Third of Guys Would Sleep with a Close Friend’s Partner!

What-to-Say-to-a-Friend-Whos-Having-an-Affair-main-650x433

Look away now fellas, as nearly a third of you (31%) would cheat with a close friend’s partner! That’s according to a survey by IllicitEncounters.com, the UK’s leading dating website for married people, who asked their male members whether, if given the chance, they’d cheat with their best friend’s partner.

Spokesperson for IllicitEncounters, Christian Grant, explained: “The idea of a ‘bromance’ only goes so far. It’s all well and good saying that you’ve got your friend’s back, but, when presented with the opportunity, a significant amount of men abandon all code and loyalty, acting purely on instinct.”

An anonymous respondent shed a little light on the situation, stating: “The buzz from the proximity/danger would be amazing,” before adding that “it would be difficult to maintain that relationship for any length of time.”

The survey also found that, astonishingly, 17% have already cheated with a close friend’s partner, with this respondent describing his experience: “She was hot. We were both frustrated with our home lives. We had the perfect excuse to see each other often. In terms of the experience it was great whilst it lasted. Very intense physically. It became more difficult though as her relationship was breaking down from both parties’ perspective and I felt she was looking for more from me.”

Another added: “We always flirted and laughed so when her husband went away I took her out one night and we ended up in a delightful 5 year-long affair.”

Grant adds: “It might be shocking to some, but things of this nature happen all the time, and not just to a guy that you know – everyone is susceptible. Heck, just look at Simon Cowell. Sure, he’s not proud of what he’s done, and he probably knew beforehand the potential implications of sleeping with his best friend’s wife, but that didn’t stop him – now he’s a father, albeit a happy and proud one.”

Interestingly, IllicitEncounters also surveyed their female members, posing the same question. In complete contrast to the men, only 12% of women claimed that they’d cheat with a close friend’s partner, with just 10% admitting that they’d already done the deed.

In fact, the general consensus amongst women was that friendship was far too precious to risk for an affair. An anonymous respondent said: “Never make love by the garden gate, love is blind but the neighbours ain’t!” As one respondent put it, “some things are sacrosanct. Friendship is one of those things.”
