I think that when you've been married for a while, the excitement and lust goes out of the window. You both become accepting of the other and know that you are in it for the long haul. If marriages had a 5 year licence, I bet more effort would be made by both parties for fear of losing out. Basically, we take each other for granted and lose that spark and excitement which is why we're all on here. However much you love your partner, there's only so much of being the dependable other half without the feeling of being wanted that we can put up with. We all want to be desired, turned on and excited by meeting that person, but we're all realists and know that those desires have to be kept hidden as too much is at stake.

Right then dear heart, firstly he forgot St Clinton's day three times in a row. On the plus side you didn't have to stare at a bunch of last minute petrol station flowers wrapped in "sod it that'll do" paper.

Secondly, other than being a bit shit and not seeing 'you' , does he do everything else ok or is he shit at that as well?

You'll have tons of me battering your inboxes' sugar walls down on here, so take your time, and enjoy. There's no such thing as perfect - if you saw me in the real you'd probably fall on the floor laughing and do a wee.

But whoever you meet you'll smile again and feel special again and know what it is to be wanted again. Just enjoy it lovely. Unless of course you're laughing your lits off on the floor having done a wee.

It may not last, Mr IE after a few meets might turn into MR EWWW as he walks in parading his thousand wash grey grollies because "the missus would ahve rumbled something was up", but until then..

3 in a row? That suggests to me that spark, the passion, that, dare I say, love which brought you guys together in the first instance is gone. Isn’t it why we’re on here to put back that spark in our lives?

As for the perfect IE, I’m sure there’s anything as such. Just take your time. No pressure and enjoy the ride like most of us are trying to.
