The 'Average' body

This seems, I suggest, to be often considered differently by men and women.

It does of course perhaps depend on age? I mean is it a size 10 when
considering a woman in her 20's. Or a 12/14 when older say after having
kids? Or even 14/16?

What is a woman's view and also that of a man?

We need a ‘Bloater’ category, thanks

Yours is the first post I've seen from a guy who understands the 'scaleability' rules!

I get messages from guys who say 'I only date ladies under a size 12 or under'... which is one thing if the lady is eg 5ft 2 (no offence intended to petite ladies here.. )...

But thats an entirely different look to a 5ft 10 lady!
I'd be on a catwalk and shaking my thang at Paris Fashion Week and not spending my time on here - if that was the case!

So.. yes - just wanted to say - scale is total relevant and well done on being able to see the difference!

My thoughts as a man

As a woman gets taller, if those sizes scale up (proportion) it makes sense

Personality, confidence, comfort in your own skin, pretty face, nice skin, body shape counters a lot of this as sizing alone doesn't tell me much. Unless you're so big there are really health or practicality concerns.

As a man, I say I'm average but I'm a bit more on the athletic side of that. As a guy (or just how I prefer to be generally is underpromise and over-deliver. I am like that in most aspects of my life. It's not a case of ambition but if managing expectations which is more important than ever in a world where we are bombarded and compare to ideals visually

Impossible to quantify. Or pigeonhole. I'm sure we've all bumped into someone carrying a few extra pounds and thought "I'd like to jump on you".. Some people carry it well, some not so much. Someone's character/personality can change the initial perception within seconds. Many a time I've initially looked at a woman and thought "meh", but two minutes later that perception's been changed because we kinda clicked. As I've gotten older that's become increasingly important to me. Over my lifetime I've been with a good number of incredibly attractive women sporting fantastic bodies.. Many of whom were terrible lovers and shallower than a 5 minute shopping spree in Prada. I was always left with the feeling of 'all the gear but no idea'.

Such a boring description though isn’t it? Average.
But that’s what I’ve gone for now as well.

I’m not curvy enough to be curvaceous/cuddly, not slim enough to say I don’t possess an ounce of body fat, and certainly can’t run a Sub4 mile to declare myself athletic.

All I possess is just an acceptable handful of everything. ‘Average’, it will have to be! 😁

For me slim is no extra pounds, average is just that but not obese. I’m not considered over weight but I also know that my ‘slim’ days are over. I’m a size 12 so class myself as average as I’m neither skinny nor overweight just somewhere in the middle 😊
