The 'Average' body
This seems, I suggest, to be often considered differently by men and women.
It does of course perhaps depend on age? I mean is it a size 10 when
considering a woman in her 20's. Or a 12/14 when older say after having
kids? Or even 14/16?
What is a woman's view and also that of a man?

The "Average" woman's dress size in the Uk is 16, up from 12 for our mums' generation.

I would say not all men's definition for "petite" is the same as the ones in your experience ... for most, it just means small and short and not necessarily slim either ... nothing to do with wanting a 15-24 type of frame women [except perhaps Conradd who's got a daddy/daughter fetish but that another topic entirely, haha]. That is quite an accusation and totally unfair to the majority of men.

Dotty...I don't think they mean short, no, or slender even...I think they mean both short and very slim, like the type of frame most women have between the age of physical maturity 15- 24. That's the 'ick' for me...

Average is subjective isn't it? In maths terms it is what you get when you add a group of numbers, say 6 groups (9, 12, 5, 6, 18, 2) and divide the total by the number of 6. 😄

Men who like 'petite' women concern me. Unless the man himself is slender and petite, then I get it (but it's rarely slender petite men who look for that.)
Somewhere somewhere there must be a man who thinks "I want to grapple with a real woman, breasts and arse and baby making tummy, with opinions and ideas and attitude, and full of life and feelings and who loves sex, who meets me in the eye and engages with me on every level, because that's a whole lotta fun!". But a lot are still looking for a petite porno mannequin.

I’m a curvaceous girl love it I don’t mine Dad bods as long as we have a connection I just find it weird when I find myself talking to someone who clearly prefers petite girls and it shows on their profile when you point it out they are like ooh it’s just words huh that kind of brings me down

I think we all perceive our bodies differently to how others see them I am also a believer that size really doesn't matter a larger lady can be equally as sexy as a someone skinny in fact curves are far more sexy on both men and woman than bones.
