Do I reschedule?
I'm going on a first date (in about 15 years!) tomorrow. I've been so excited. I got my hair done this week and applied fake tan yesterday - and omg I've left it on for far too long, I'm horrified! Now I'm so nervous about meeting (I feel like I don't look my best!) - does it matter? Or should I reschedule? Help!

Don't cancel your date at the last minute. Be mindful that some of us have to work and have to arrange time off!
Too much fake tan? Tell him! Have a laugh. As many have said, if you have been having a good chat, he will understand and laugh with you.
Cold feet is very off-putting. Treat others as you want to be treated.

Go for it. Explain the fake tan. If I was your date I would take it as a compliment because you are looking to be attractive for him!
I am at an age where many white people around me are having minor surgery for skin cancers. I know view suntans as highly suspect. This sun worshipping must stop! Go pale! If someone is so shallow as to demand a tan they are not for any sane person!
Rant over.lol

Don’t cancel just go & enjoy yourself take it slowly..
Plus don’t make an effort that you wouldn’t normally do otherwise it’ll look suspicious

No don't reschedule. Explain what's happened. If he's a good guy he'll be very impressed you've made such an effort.

Don't reschedule, but keep a respectable distance from his white shirt. If he asks why, say you don't want to leave a bad impression. On it, not.him

There are differing ways of looking at this, and a first date means in reality you do not know each other properly. You can interpret a no show as they are making excuses and dont want to really do this, cold feet, Not telling the truth also is setting up the relationship with falsehoods from the outset which considering what we are all doing, my feeling is you should try to avoid that if possible here. Real life is already too complex. In reality though if you have been chatting and get on and then are open and honest and laugh see what the response is. You may be surprised and the person not care or happy to reschedule. Be honest though IMO

Depends ..... will your date appreciate that in making an effort you got it a bit wrong - if yes, then have a laugh and enjoy each other. If no, then they might not be for you.....

Those are a lot of ‘what’s ifs ‘…🧐…
How many times have I heard posts about first time meets and the OP turns up like a tramp…if you have a major drama just reschedule it …..yes you can make a joke about it …break the ice as below 👇 but if you feel good about yourself then the date is more relaxed ..not rocket science…
