Acts of adultery have hit fever pitch in the month of September, a new report suggests.

IllicitEncounters.com, the UK’s leading dating website for married people and the leading authority on infidelity, has seen a 10% year-on-year increase in registrations for the first 10 days of September, with over 2,500 people joining the site.

“It’s down to education,” explains the site’s spokesperson, Christian Grant.

“To be more specific, it’s down to children, teens and young adults returning or making their first foray into schools, colleges and universities.

After a busy summer period, a lot of parents might be initially grateful of a house devoid of people, especially if it’s young kids or unruly teenagers.

However, an empty house is conducive to an affair. There’s the obvious reason: you’ve got an empty space and several hours to meet up with whomever you please, but there’s more to it than that.

Periods of isolation allow for contemplation and self-reflection, and it’s in these periods of thought, without any distractions, that husbands and wives begin to truly come to terms with the flaws in their marriages.”

Interestingly, the site has seen a greater number of women joining the site than men in the first 10 days of September, with women making up 75% of registrations so far.

Grant explains:

“We’ve always had a majority of female registrations in previous Septembers, and this hasn’t changed. While there are far too many variables at play to pinpoint a specific reason for this, it’s impossible to ignore the fact that the overwhelming majority of parents who stay at home are women.

While this number is decreasing every year, a report from the Office for National Statistics in 2015 stated that 2.01 million of 2.26 million of those unemployed because they are at home and/or taking care of their family are women.

In other words, the lonely person in the empty house is far, far more likely to be a woman.”

If your marriage has hit a ruff patch, you better hope you’re married to a dog lover. Research released today by IllicitEncounters.com, the UK’s leading dating website for married people and the leading authority on infidelity, has shown that just 10% of over 700 members surveyed are dog owners, making dog owners the most faithful pet owners in the UK.

On the other hand, as many as 25% owned cats, with 16% owning fish, 13% hamsters/gerbils, 11% rabbits and 11% reptiles.

The site’s spokesperson, Christian Grant, explains:

“There has already been a plethora of scientific studies that claim that owning a dog, or dogs, makes you happier and healthier, and now you can add loyalty to that list.

It’s an interesting, if not unexpected result. Man’s best friend is the UK’s most popular pet, and has been for a very long time, but not among this particular community it seems.

A dog’s qualities are usually reflected in their owner, and loyalty, unconditional love, friendship and a sense of protectiveness are qualities that everyone associates with canines, regardless of their size, breed or gender.

By the same token, a cat’s loyalty is a little more unclear. Often lazy, they’ve been known to drift to whomever is offering them more food, so it’s of little surprise to see that lack of loyalty reflected in our study.”

With that said, not every dog owner is squeaky clean, as Grant admits:

“We’re not so foolish to say that every dog owner is the perfect human being – we can’t justify that sort of generalization. In fact, we’ve a couple of members who breed greyhounds for a living, while many work closely with dogs, be that as a vet, volunteer worker, dog walker or otherwise.”

Gardeners are officially the most popular fantasy of married women across the UK. According to IllicitEncounters.com, the UK’s leading dating website for married people and the leading authority on infidelity, 34% of a survey of over 650 women confessed that they’d most like to seduce gardeners.

Other popular responses included firemen (16%), fitness instructor (12%), mechanic (10%) and carpenter (7%).

The site’s spokesperson, Christian Grant, explains:

“Women know what they want, and there’s evidently a common theme here. Your stereotypical image of a gardener is a hot, topless and well-built man, and the same could be said of firemen, fitness instructors and the other popular responses.

Times have changed, and with the married women on our site mainly stuck in sexless marriages, they don’t want to sit and wait for someone to court them – they’re dominant, and they’ll seek the initiative to turn their seduction fantasy into a reality.”

The fantasy also derives from its plausibility, with as many as 77% respondents admitting that they’ve flirted and made passes with men in the aforementioned professions.

“It’s a not too uncommon scenario,” explains Grant.

“If one’s husband is out of the house, and the incredibly attractive gardener, plumber (or whatever it may be) is alone with the married women in question… well, it’s easy to put two and two together and make four.”

Interestingly, the survey also revealed the professions that they’d least like to seduce, with postmen, delivery men, milkmen and IT technician topping this particular list with 20%, 18%, 12% and 10% of the vote respectively.

“While we all eagerly anticipate the postman or delivery man knocking on our door when we’re awaiting a package, we’re more interested in what’s in their hand than the messenger themselves. I’m afraid that there’s very little that’s deemed charming, sexy or even remotely attractive about these jobs.”

Less interesting than a fireman, not as heroic as a doctor – being a surveyor seldom turns heads.

Slip under the radar they might, but perhaps they shouldn’t, as a new survey has revealed that surveyors are the most likely to have an affair while on the job.

IllicitEncounters.com, the UK’s leading dating website for married people and the leading authority on infidelity, surveyed over 3,000 men from a variety of different disciplines, with over 60% admitting to having an affair while on the job. Of those who said yes, 15% were surveyors.

A string of manual labour jobs, namely plumbers, carpenters and electricians, occupied positions two to four, with 13%, 12% and 10% respectively.

The survey also found that almost a third (31%) of respondents who admitted to having an affair while working also said that they are having an affair with more than one person, while 55% cited the freedom of movement their job affords as the biggest factor behind their ability to have an affair while at work – 40% stated that being self-employed was the number one factor.

Christian Grant, spokesperson for IllicitEncounters.com, explains:

“The key word here is ‘freedom.’ Being out of the office for hours on end, without the peering eyes of your boss or colleagues, gives you a ton of time and a whole lot of opportunity. And with surveyors often travelling the length and breadth of the country, they can expand their horizons and meet people far outside their locale, decreasing the risk that they’ll be spotted by someone from their neighbourhood.

Similarly, electricians, plumbers and carpenters are regularly on the move, but they can often be their own boss too. They decide their own hours, pick and choose their own clients, and ultimately have no one to report to.

They’ll pop a text to their partner to let them know that a job has overrun and shoot off to fix someone else’s plumbing, so to speak.

In contrast, it’s very difficult for a doctor or a teacher for example to find an opportunity during the working day to meet with their mistress.”

A Parliamentary Affair – Gove Repels More than Just Conservative Voters

Underneath the political civil war and seemingly impending doom and gloom of a post-Brexit Britain, IllicitEncounters.com, the leading authority on infidelity, asked its members to take part in a slightly different kind of poll, with over 1,000 of them voting on which politician they would most like to have an affair with, divorce their spouse for or avoid entirely.

The results reveal that most women (30%) would most like to have an affair with conservative MP Stephen Crabb, while men would most like to be unfaithful with Labour MP Gloria De Piero – she received 40% of the male vote.

Perhaps rather surprisingly, Theresa May was voted as the politician that most men would divorce their partner for (33%), with 75% of those who voted for her citing her solvency and seemingly imminent rise to the top table as their main reasons for doing so.

The women approached things from a different angle; not choosing someone who was in power, rather someone who has recently relinquished it, as 30% would divorce their husband for former Liberal Democrat leader Nick Clegg.

33% of those who voted for Clegg did so because they thought he was a decent and genuine man, while 25% said that they thought he would make a good father.

And for the politician that most people would avoid? Well, Michael Gove was a comfortable winner here, raking in 40% of the female vote, while Jeremy Corbyn finished in 2nd place with 20% of the vote.

Men, meanwhile, would most avoid education secretary Nicky Morgan, who gained 35% of the vote. She beat Shadow Health Secretary Diane Abbot, who came second with 25% of the vote.

Outgoing Prime Minister David Cameron earned just 2% of the female vote for the politician women would most like to have an affair with, with 3% voting for him in the ‘avoid’ category.

Former Labour leader Ed Miliband edged out Cameron in both categories, receiving 3% and 4% of the vote respectively.

Former UKIP leader and Brexit figurehead Nigel Farage received 10% of the female vote for the politician women would most like to have an affair with, but 18% would avoid him entirely.

“Politicians are rarely known for their beauty…” says IllicitEncounters.com’s spokesperson, Christian Grant, “…but there are certainly a few presentable MPs.

It was no surprise to see the presentable Stephen Crabb and Gloria De Piero top their respective polls.

With that having been said, perhaps the most notable point is the difference between men and women when it came to the politician they’d most likely divorce their own partner for.

While men gravitated to Theresa May for her power and status – and less so her physical appearance – women placed more importance on different issues, voting for who they felt was the most decent and honest person, as well as who would make the best father.”

Having big feet means you have a large c… chance of having an affair. IllicitEncounters.com, the UK’s leading dating website for married people, surveyed over 1,500 of their male members and found a positive correlation between a man’s shoe size and their likelihood of having an affair.

Men with a shoe size of 10 or over are at least twice as likely to have an affair than those with a shoe size of less than 10, while the most faithful men sport feet between the sizes of 7 and 9. The most common shoe size for adulterous men was 10.5.

Spokesperson for IllicitEncounters.com, Christian Grant, said:

“While many would argue that there’s more to having an affair than one’s foot size, the data doesn’t lie. Men who sport a shoe size of 10 and over account for 85% of all men on the site, with the remaining 15% having a shoe size of 9 and under.

It looks like women whose husbands have small feet can sleep relatively comfortably at night, while those with husbands who have a big pair of loafers should perhaps be more mindful.”

The results of the study also correlate with various celebrity cheats, with Bill Clinton, Tiger Woods, Hugh Grant and Gavin Rossdale all sporting a shoe size of 10 and over.

Interestingly, the same could not be said of women. Of the 1,000 women who were surveyed, there was no correlation to be found between big feet and adultery, though the most common shoe size was 6.5 (13%).

“While women across the country have something to potentially stress over, the nation’s husbands have the privilege of not having any feet related paranoia,” said Grant.

That’s according to IllicitEncounters.com, the UK’s leading dating website for married people, who surveyed over 1500 of their members. From their research IllicitEncounters.com were able to conclude the following:

  • 4% own a property worth between £200,000 – £300,000
  • 11% own a property worth between £300,000 – £400,000
  • 11% own a property worth between £400,000 – £500,000
  • 13% own a property worth between £500,000 – £600,000
  • 18% own a property worth between £600,000 – £700,000
  • 20% own a property worth between £700,000 – £800,000
  • 10% own a property worth £800,000 or more
  • 13% don’t own a property

Spokesperson for IllicitEncounters.com, Christian Grant, explains: ”Under the right set of circumstances, anyone can have an affair, and while an affair is wealth agnostic, there’s certainly some key links between a person’s disposable income, specifically the property they own, and the likelihood of them having an affair.”

“While the terms ‘sugar daddy’ and ‘gold digger’ can come across as derogatory, when you dig a little deeper, you’ll find that there are some nuggets of truth in there,” says Grant. “The lure of money can be hard to resist, but there’s only so much that it can do,” he adds. “While the initial charm of living a comfortable or luxurious lifestyle wears off, you’re left with one person in the relationship, if not both, unhappy with the situation that they’ve found themselves in.”

It’s an idea that’s corroborated by the Infidelity Index. Released last month, the Infidelity Index revealed the most adulterous towns in the UK, with High Wycombe and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea topping the list for the most adulterous town in the UK and most adulterous London borough respectively.

“It was of little surprise to us to see that two very affluent areas topped the Infidelity Index this year,” adds Grant.

“Money can buy a lot of things, but love and happiness? Maybe not.”

They Cheated Emissions, Now Their Drivers Cheat Too – VW: The Car of the Adulterer!

Volkswagens are the most commonly driven cars among affair-seekers in the UK, new research has found.

Volkswagen received 22% of the male vote and 18% of the female vote.

In fact, the Germans were dominant, with Mercedes and Audi coming in 2nd and 3rd in the male vote (19% and 14% respectively), and Audi and BMW coming in 2nd and 3rd for women (14% and 12%).

The research also found that VWs were the most popular cars for both men and women in England, while Scottish men opted for Audis, and Scottish women for Volkswagens.

The results come from the UK’s leading dating website for married people, IllicitEncounters.com, who surveyed 1000 of their members.

Spokesperson Christian Grant explains: “It’s a match made in heaven. VW recently became infamous for cheating emissions tests, and it turns out the people who drive their cars aren’t averse to a bit of cheating themselves – it’s all very fitting. VW is no longer the car of the people, but the car of the adulterer!”

Of the top 5 most popular makes, the most popular models were the Volkswagen Scirocco, Mercedes C-Class, Audi A4, BMW 3-Series and Jaguar XKR for the men, while women preferred the VW Golf GTE, Audi Q4, BMW 1 Series, Ford Ka and Mini Cooper.

The research also found that nearly two thirds of men (61%) felt that having a luxurious car would impress their date, while only 25% of women cared about their dates’ choice of car.

“A car is a statement; your wealth, job status, intelligence – you can gauge a lot about a person just by the car that they drive, so it’s hardly surprising to see that a lot of our members are driving expensive German makes,” says Grant.

The least popular car makes for affair-seeking men were Skoda, Nissan and Fiat, with 0.5%, 0.8% and 1.4% of the vote respectively. Meanwhile, Hyundai, Skoda and Toyota were the least popular cars for women, with 0.4%, 0.9% and 1.6 % of the vote.

The Skoda Fabia, Nissan Micra, Fiat Panda, Seat Mii and Kia Soul were the least popular makes for the men, while the Hyundai i10, Skoda Fabia, Toyota Prius, Smart fortwo and Vauxhall Astra were the least popular makes for women.

“We can’t all drive nice cars,” says Grant. “But on the plus side, if you do find yourself driving a Skoda, at least your partner won’t suspect you of cheating.”

IllicitEncounters.com, the UK’s leading dating website for married people, surveyed over 2000 women and posed the question “Have you ever used Halloween as an excuse to cheat on your partner?” 70% of women replied with a resounding yes, while the remaining 30% said no.

Why Halloween? Spokesperson for IllicitEncounters, Socrates Pyliotis, explains: “Halloween acts as the perfect opportunity for women to meet other men. Most men are always curious as to what their partners are up to on a night out, and they wouldn’t normally permit them to dress promiscuously. “Not all women have illicit intentions, but those that do are finding that Halloween provides the perfect excuse to go behind their partner’s back. They don their kitten outfit, slip outside the house, and their boyfriends and husbands are none the wiser.”
