AI:Do – New research reveals people are turning to AI to fix their marriages

* 66% of people have used AI tools like ChatGPT as a form of marriage counselling

* Majority of people say that couples therapy isn’t an option due to the high cost, seeking cheaper alternatives

* Study conducted by IllicitEncounters.com, the UK’s largest extramarital dating site

From unlocking your phone with face recognition to creating personalised playlists to match your listening habits, artificial intelligence is transforming the way we live, work and connect. Now, it seems people are turning to AI to fix their marriages.

According to recent research by IllicitEncounters.com, the UK’s leading married dating site, 66% of people have used AI tools like ChatGPT as a form of marriage counselling.

When it polled 2,000 of its members, 19% said they had been to couples therapy in a bid to salvage their relationship. Of those who said they’d never been to marriage counselling with their partner, 22% said they plan to do so in the future, whilst 62% said it’s too expensive for them to consider.

With the cost-of-living crisis still having a huge impact in the UK, people are looking to cut costs in all aspects of life, and it seems that now includes marriage counselling.

Sophie, 37 from London, a member of IllicitEncounters.com said, “I’ve been with my husband for nearly 12 years now and I absolutely adore him. He’s a highflier working in the City and after a promotion at work, the time we spent together became practically nonexistent. I’ve got an incredibly high sex drive, and I found myself constantly getting pushed back by my husband with the usual excuse of him being too tired, which brought me to breaking point.

In February, I heard everyone talking about ChatGPT and I started using it to ask mundane questions to see how reliable it was. Then, I thought I’d delve deeper to see if it could help with relationship advice.

Explaining my situation and sharing that I was considering having an affair, ChatGPT of course tried to sway me away from infidelity and emphasised how important communication is. So, one evening, I plucked up the courage to sit down with my husband and explained exactly how I felt.

Having told him how sexually unsatisfied and lonely I was, to my surprise, he suggested joining an affairs site to find someone who could give me what I needed, with just one rule: it had to be purely for sex, with no emotional attachment allowed.

My husband is fully aware that I use IllicitEncounters.com, so I wouldn’t really describe myself as having an affair, but I can’t tell you how positive an impact this has had on my marriage. We communicate so much better, there are no secrets between us, and our bond is stronger than ever.”

Sex and relationships expert for IllicitEncounters.com, Jessica Leoni, commented, “AI is being used in so many parts of our lives nowadays, and with the use of counselling and mental health AI-driven apps becoming increasingly common, it’s no surprise that people are now considering bots to save marriages.

When misunderstandings in relationships pop up, AI’s can be like a friend who steps in with a “Hey, have you considered this?” or “How about trying this?”. AI doesn’t get moody or hold grudges, it just lays out the facts and keeps emotions in check, exactly like a marriage counsellor.”

More money than sense: UK’s “fat cats” most likely to be caught cheating

* Survey reveals CEOs and bankers are the two professions most likely to be caught having an affair

* 1 in 3 people who have been found out by their partner whilst playing away are CEOs

* The findings come from IllicitEncounters.com, the UK’s largest extramarital dating site

It turns out, the bank accounts of the UK’s “fat cats” aren’t the only things experiencing explosive growth – their cheating antics are breaking records too.

Forget about loyalty and commitment, these high-rolling playboys are more interested in playing the field.

According to a survey of 2,000 men by married dating site IllicitEncounters.com, CEOs have been caught red-handed in sizzling affairs, sneaky rendezvous, and steamy encounters more than any other profession.

The poll first asked the men whether they’ve been caught cheating in the past, and then asked for them to disclose their profession to see if there was a link between the two.

1 in 3 people polled were CEOs who admitted to being found out by their partners in the past. From secret trysts in hidden hideaways to backseat escapades in their swanky rides, the wealthy elite can’t resist the temptation of the forbidden fruit.

21% of the men who responded in the survey were bankers, clearly morally bankrupt and not great at keeping their affairs secret.

On the other hand, bartenders were the least likely to be caught. Their charm behind the bar and their good excuse to have to stay out late is the perfect mix for being able to play away, but they’re also the very reasons they’re less likely to be found out by their partner.

Jordan from Coventry, a member of the married dating site, commented, “I may be slinging drinks behind the bar, but I’m also sipping on secrets. I’ve used the site for a few years now – my missus hasn’t caught me yet and I intend to keep it that way! You’ve just got to be discreet and smart about it. Bartenders are cleverer than people think, you know?”

Shaun, a CEO from London, said, “It’s like chasing risky investments for a quick thrill. I’ve been caught red-handed by my wife in the past, but has that stopped me from cheating now? Not a chance. CEOs are tough to control, and I’m the one calling the shots.”

Speaking to Jessica Leoni, IllicitEncounters.com’s sex and relationships expert, she said “Busy schedules and frequent business trips provide ample opportunities for affairs, plus there’s also a sense of entitlement that comes with positions of power, which makes some people believe they’re above the consequences of their actions.

An inflated self-importance can absolutely lead to carelessness and reckless behaviour, making it easier for their indiscretions to be uncovered.”

Cat-ching cheats: Cat owners more likely to stray in a relationship

* Survey reveals 29% of cheaters own a cat, making them the most likely to cheat

* Findings coincide with International Cat Day – 8th August

* Fish (21%) and rabbit (16%) owners also made it into the top three

* Study conducted by IllicitEncounters.com, the UK’s largest extramarital dating site

It’s official: there’s a new way of discovering if your partner is unfaithful. Forget detective work; checking phones and messages is old news. Now, keep an eye out for one critical detail: whether they have a feline friend!

IllicitEncounters.com, the UK’s top dog when it comes to married dating sites, found that nearly a third of the 2000 members polled own cats, making them by far the most unfaithful pet owners.

You might want to keep an eye on your partner if they own fish too, with 21% of cheaters polled owning an underwater friend, using their smooth-talking skills and deception to swim through tricky situations without getting caught.

Rabbit owners made it into the top three, with 16% of cheaters declaring they’ve got a bunny at home, and in the meantime they’re bed-hopping behind their partner’s back.

Ironically, rat and mice owners have been found to be the most faithful, with just 4% of loverats having one at home.

Cat owner, Sarah from Newcastle, who took part in the survey said “I’ve always been a bit of a cat woman. I just feel like I relate to them so well: I’m confident, independent and like to strut my stuff. I suppose I like being the centre of attention too, and since my husband works non-stop these days, I’ve turned to my lover to fill that void.”

Jessica Leoni, IllicitEncounters.com’s sex and relationships expert commented, “It’s funny how behaviour in pets often mirrors that of their owners. Cats sometimes come across as aloof and unaffectionate due to their independent nature, which can be viewed as a lack of loyalty. With fewer displays of attachment and obedience, it seems cat owners are taking a leaf out of their feline’s way of life.

Next time you find yourself having a discussion with your partner about which animal you want for pet children, push for a mouse and be wary if they propose having a pussy at home. With tomorrow being International Cat Day, partners of those four-legged purrers might want to be extra vigilant.”
