About Me:

Like many people I struggle to describe myself. Until I get started and probably won't be able to stop! So I will begin with the things my friends would probably say about me - I am stubborn, determined, ambitious and able to turn most situations to a positive outcome. Not sure if those are the positive things or the negative! I try to be a decent person and treat people in the way I would like to be treated. I listen, but tend to be more of a problem solver than simply sympathising, which annoys my female friends and is a relief to the males! I am independent, can assemble an Ikea wardrobe with only ten screws left over, and think that is lonelier to be with the wrong person than on my own. I have a dry sense of humour, which relies on word play and someone contributing - I am very bad at telling jokes, you can hear a pin drop, or see the tumbleweed floating through the room!
I love to travel, although haven't so much in recent years. Not a lack of desire, but building a house, having children and a very busy job leave me little time. I like to enjoy myself and love to laugh. I am signing up because I don't do that enough lately! I am 5'6, with curly red/ brown hair. I discovered a few years ago that I love running, even in the rain, which when I carried a hairdryer 50 miles on my Duke of Edinburgh hike (granted some years ago now), was something of a surprise to me too. It is a great chance to be alone, to think things through and to listen to very bad music that is banned in most modern places. It also means that I am athletic looking, but still curvy. I am never going to be a size zero and don't want to be, so if you want a stick insect, keep looking, but I am happy enough with my size 10/12 figure to wear a bikini. I am considered attractive, have been called beautiful, but I guess appearances depend on the person looking, so you will have to make your own opinion on that!

Ideal Partner:

I am looking for friendship, fun and passion (with the right person). I don't want any serial liars, I have had enough of that. This is a site for people in relationships, so I would rather be open about what we want and not bring emotion into it unless it is real. I am not looking to leave my marriage, but am also not looking to sleep around.
I would like to meet someone with a good sense of humour, who enjoys having fun. Preferably intelligent. I don't really have a specific type, I tend to feel an attraction to people for different reasons. I find some tattoos very sexy, but not facial - I want to read your expression not your slogan! I don't really mind where you live, I travel a lot with work and have lived in various places in the UK, so am quite familiar with lots of places. That said my geography is my worst attribute, so if it isn't a place I am familiar with you may need to forgive my ignorance. But I don't mind admitting I don't know, or that I'm wrong (although that rarely happens). Hey, this talking about me is getting easier! Oh, my favourite part of a man is his shoulders!
