About Me:

Old-fashioned but young-at-heart chap who has decided that life is far too short seeks woman of substance for excellent company, fun and maybe frolics. Personality, laughter, self-deprecating wit and lively conversation much more important than size and shape. Old=fashioned, by the way, doesn't mean fuddy or boring, or at least I hope not (you will be my judge). It does mean that I wear cotton and wool, never acrylic, can't say that I have ever watched X-Factor and have never been to Ikea. Love film noir, decent wine and music ranging from opera to what used to be called New Wave (showing my age here). Live in the city but love the country, walking on beaches, village pubs and summer fetes. 6ft tall but more of rugger build than slim Jim. Don't like acronyms or unfinished conditional clauses (if you'd just like to go over there.....) but also don't like to take myself too seriously. Bit of a listomaniac (okay, I made that word up).

Ideal Partner:

Seeking genuine people, who I am sure do exist on this site. Warmth, character and a fun-filled nature really constitute my quest. The rest, I am sure, will fit into place. Basically, much more interested in you than me.
