About Me:

Currently living during the week in a very nice hotel in the centre of Bristol, but eating out and drinking alone every night after a hard day is getting through. I love female company and would really like to spend a few nights out with a fun, interesting, and hopefully like minded person. Until very recently, I was an Officer in the Armed Forces for many years, and now work in the defence industry as a consultant. I am successful, fairly well read, and like to keep myself informed of what's going on. I guess I've seen more of the world than most (some of it terrible most of it wonderful). I'm a usually happy, very positive, glass half full kind of guy, and am considered to be kind and generous as well as very funny by most people. That's as much trumpet blowing as I'm comfortable with; I'm not too keen on people who like to broadcast how great they are! I love to eat out, the cinema, pubs and bars, try new things and importantly I love to meet new people. I am six foot one tall in my bare feet, and I guess am a big, strong lad, I was always quite fancied as a younger man, maybe I still am, you'll have to decide. I played a lot of football, rugby and even boxed briefly throughout my career but am no longer the adonis I once was, and like most people my age I have to work hard at keeping the pounds off, (there's definitely more of me than there should be) That said I still enjoy the Gym but I work an average of 60 hours a week so it's not always feasible (I've just read that back and it sounds like a man desperately looking for excuses for his love handles)!. Being ex-military I keep my hair short and tidy, but I do have 100% of it (thanks dad) and I have virtually no grey yet. I don't do beards and moustaches, I have grown both in the past for charity but really looked ridiculous. I dress fairly conservatively but certainly not stuffy. I love good clothes, nice cars, holidays and the finer things in life generally, but who doesn't?

Ideal Partner:

I'm keen to meet someone kind, sensitive and warm, who understands my situation and needs me to understand theirs. I am obviously not totally happy at home but I love my family and would never want to cause them any pain, so that needs to be appreciated. I'm totally new to this, I haven't dated anyone in years, so I put in my status that I'm keen to see what develops. I am a sensual person and love sensual women but ideally even if any relationship is only about fun, I would like to meet someone that I genuinely enjoy being with. I am not unduly worried about someone's age, I've met a lot of young people in my working life that are far more mature than many people twice their age, but I am in my forties and would ideally like to meet someone with some life experience. I don't like liars, bullies, sexists, racists or bigots, people who can't handle their drink or overly opinionated people, but neither do I like people who judge everyone else or those that don't seem to care about anything at all. Does that make sense? I think I would struggle with anything or anyone too shallow, and would hate to be thought of that way myself.
