About Me:

Difficult, isn't it, trying to give a full and accurate description of yourself in an honest and yet intriguing way? And all in just three intimidating little boxes. Anyway here goes ...

The straightforward factual bit: I'm 50, in good shape, have a variety of interests - cultural, sporting and artistic - and run my own international business consultancy. I have two wonderful children, both in higher education. I am recently separated.

Other people describe me as a warm and generous person, with an engaging smile and a sparkle in his eyes. I am an optimist and a happy risk-taker. I'm looking to get the most out of this life as it's the only one I'm going to get!

Some more interesting bits?: I'm learning to play jazz guitar in the style of Django Reinhardt and loving it! I am also getting in training to cycle some of the mountain stages of the Tour de France from my house in the Pyrenees. I guess I would say I'm ok looking. If you want tall, dark and film star handsome, then that's not me I'm afraid (unless your film star type is Bruce Willis or Jason Statham, but not quite as muscle-bound!)

My best features are my eyes and smile ...but the rest is all there and in decent shape from years of football, skiing, mountain walking, cycling and the gym.

I tend to dress mostly in black, grey or navy - or light blue to accentuate my eye colour. Smart but informal, Hugo Boss seems to work best for me.

Ideal Partner:

I ticked the "see what happens" box because that genuinely describes my attitude to relationships and how I'm feeling at the moment. I don't want to be too prescriptive.

You never know really who is going to stimulate your imagination. In my experience you certainly can't tell that just by the way someone looks. It's the way she looks at you that counts - or, more accurately, the way you look at each other.

Intelligence, warmth, a sense of adventure and a sparkle are the key ingredients.

Where will that lead to? Who knows? Hopefully, some fun, laughter, physical and intellectual stimulation.
