About Me:

I have worked for all of my professional life in one of the caring professions. Most of my work has been with children and families in difficulties. I’m quick and bright and have a quite wicked sense of humour. I poke fun at myself, rather than other people. I generally have trouble taking myself seriously. Frankly, I think it is just a bit of a strain being a grown up.
In the past I have worked in nursing jobs and fiends tell me I’m a caring person who also can be very focused on trying to improve things for people.
As part of my work and training I have lived in different places throughout the UK and with a recent change of job find myself traveling to do jobs, mainly throughout the Midlands and North West England
I’m married with two grown up kids who have flown the nest. I want to stay married, so discretion is really important to me. I can keep secrets. I’m looking for a little excitement and romance in life.
I love spending time by the sea, swimming, scuba, boating and sailing are all part of me and what I do.
I hate having nothing to do. Even on holiday I prefer activity and adventure to sitting on a beach. I would love to go sailing, even in big seas, but I would need a lot of convincing that cruising on a big ship is a good idea. I’m 5’ 8”’ and weigh 80kg. (Sorry about the mix of units. I bought a new scale last year that only does kilos). That provides a hint that I’m working on being lighter than I am, but there is something about chips (and chocolate), that make this harder than it should be. You would quickly find me out if I pretended that I maintain an aura of personal good style and sophistication. I try, really, I do. I dress for the occasion, from working in the garden, a suit and tie for work, slacks and jumper for training, T Shirt and Jeans for sloping about, or a DJ for a night out.
My best features? That is hard! I have a really inaccurate view of my body. I feel just like I did when I was in my mid-twenties. I just don’t recognize this old fart who looks back at me from the bathroom mirror each morning. I think my best features are my smile and my voice. I think the neatly trimmed beard goes with the face and the voice. I think I shall cultivate an ‘old man of the sea’ front to the world - care-worn and weatherbeaten.

Ideal Partner:

I’m looking for a bit of romance, conversation, excitement and maybe, if we ‘click’ something a bit more passionate. Life and relationships are a bit stale and lackluster. I seem spend a lot of time in the company of men. I long for female company, conversation and especially touch, hugs and cuddles. A long time ago, a girlfriend asked me what I looked for in a woman. I think my answer now is the same- it is not the body type that is the turn-on, but the personality. I am a sucker for ‘arsey’ assertive females who are flirty and with a sense of fun.
