About Me:
On the basis that I wouldn’t want to join any club that would have me as a member, this may be difficult. But I’d rather have no interest than mislead anyone. I guess I would best describe myself as geeky* yet cool. I have a mental age of about 14, and evolution seems to have selected me to want to know how everything works - everything ranging from cosmology to carbonara (spaghetti), from World War I to Willy Wonker. Nothing is not worth understanding ... except maybe football. I have seen a good part of the World, but after England, Italy remains my favourite place on Earth. I grew up on a South London council estate but it was the geekiness and entrepreneurial spirit that set me free. Literal humour rarely makes me laugh, but ironic (bear this in mind when reading the "Ideal Partner" section) and bizarre situations can quickly reduce me to an uncontrollable state. As does the thought that most people think butter would not melt in my mouth. Enough.
*For the avoidance of any doubt, a geek is not to be confused with a nerd. You can’t be nerdy and cool.
Ideal Partner:
You don't need to be a statistician to quickly establish that the probability of getting a message read, let alone answered, is vanishingly small. So, congratulations for getting this far. I will resist the temptation to suggest I’d like to meet someone with a PhD in physics, that can sing in tune, has a nice face, a 32DD bust and a BMI less than 20... oh and laughs a lot. I doubt such a person exists. In any case fantasies about physics are less important than chemistry and although I don’t know any way of establishing that in a paragraph, I suspect one physical meeting would do the trick. I live in London, but by choice, spend quite a bit of time in Italy. If you have an aversion to geeks, Italian food or culture, then I am unlikely to be your man. However, creativity trumps all. Geek that I am, I would not dream of sending anything virtual and if I add you to my favourites list but don’t write, it’s because I really like your profile but there there must be something in it that excludes me. I am not particularly interested in your justification for being here - this seems to be a pre-requisite opening gambit - nor that you are looking for someone intelligent, funny and tall. It's all relative.
