About Me:

A day in the life of? I wake too early, with a mind struggling to find where the dreams end and the day begins. In an old French house of high ceilings, the light streaming through my tall windows. I get up and sit with my mint tea, by the Aga, feet up on the long wooden table stained with family tales, and I revel in the peace of the house. Wellies and old jacket on for a tramp around the country lanes, between the flat fields, my feet finding a rhythm that is meditative. A sharp hot shower and then, inevitably, a laptop and into the zooming day.

I get restless after too many days at my desk. I want to be out there in the world again, challenging the wrongs, even if ‘they’ don’t want to hear it. Exploring places and people and culture through food: the small cavernous, centuries-old café with the best hummus in the world; or the sour flat bread piled with tangy, spicy meat to be scooped up in my hand; or the morning’s treat of Afghan eggs, sparkling with tomatoes and chillies. Or the interminable airports and that sense of impermanence, the world so busy rushing by.

Come evening and a glass of simple wine and back in the kitchen I chop and create - reaching in loving communication to the now-grown-up family through the dishes spread on the old stained wood.

And we are ideal…….if we connect. If we find that remarkable connection of resonating minds and hearts, that opens our bodies to all the possibilities of our mutual want. If you can put up with my globe trotting and my logistical challenges, and my constantly whirring mind. If you love stolen days in bed, with picnics between the kisses and laughter on the pillows. If you revel in the communication between those times, the interweaving of our thoughts.

Utter honesty liberates lovers to find something special.

The physical? I am just under 5’8” tall. Slim. A sort of sharp cheekbone handsome with dark blue eyes and white rapidly streaking its way through my hair.

The logistical? Not good if you want to meet more than once (maybe twice) a month, I am afraid. I am in London then to meet with my team and otherwise live in another country and spend a lot of my time travelling to others. I am married and will always remain so.
