My Guilty Pleasure

Firstly, why am I here?

I read something recently that made me think. When we are gone from this mortal world who will remember us? Our family/friends naturally, for a few years at least, but memories fade and the heartache of loss eases but eventually the house you made home will be lived in by someone else, the car you proudly saved for turned to scrap and recycled….our great grand children will not know us, and our pictures will be stored somewhere on a cloud never to be looked at.

With that sobering thought I realised despite creating a comfortable life for myself, married, kids, dogs, great home, I find myself asking is this it……the hamster wheel of everyday life, get up, work, exist, there is surely more to it. I should be content but I’m not and I need someone in my life to make me feel alive again! I’m not looking to change my every day, or indeed yours, merely take my 5 portions of fruit and veg a day and turn it into a heart stopping culinary delight that fills the void that continues to grow in my world.

I’m 6ft, greying, blue eyed and athletic (not Olympic!) I love keeping fit and healthy, running, cycling, gym and any team games that don’t break my body…sadly a shoulder injury playing rugby 2 years ago and tearing my bicep off last year was the reminder I needed to stop being stupid, so I have hung up those boots sadly and enjoy the social side more! Football….er no, I really do hate it and all that the players and fans stand for, sorry if that just halved my potential suiter in one statement. I love winter sports but equally the beach and diving also are pleasures of mine. I consider myself to be outgoing, fun, comfortable any situation, honest (putting why I’m here aside) and most of all sincere and generous, not just materialistically but emotionally and physically. I love to chat, I equally like to listen, and hope to meet someone who I connect with and captures my imagination and attention, makes me laugh and drives me to distraction with desire or frustration. I hope that in return I can do the same, share great times when we are together, and maintain healthy and respectful contact while apart and plotting our next adventure!

I’m university educated, great career and enjoy a wide variety of interests (I will leave that open for further enquires if we chat). I have had the opportunity to travel extensively to lots of fantastic places and some only few would venture. The World is a small place and there is still much I still wish to see both abroad and home, and to share that with someone who wants that to would be amazing. I love staying in lovely hotels as much camping in a field. Whether dining out or cosying up with great wine and a movie, all of it is about spending quality time away from our everyday worlds and making each other feel alive and buzz with excitement. Hopefully there are a few things in the above that tempt you to get in touch.

Ideal Partner:

I really don’t have a ‘type’ or am I looking for Angelina Jolie either, especially as I’m no Brad Pitt or an A list movie star, despite being a tree in the primary School Panto! Every lady like to dress up from time to time, and I am sure there will be plenty of occasions to do so, but you don’t need to dress to impress 24/7, dressed down and understated is just fine with me, but looking like a member of the Just Stop Oil movement sorry but not for me! It would be great if you like being active, not necessarily just physically, but just getting up and out, going places and doing new and exciting things together! Most importantly, be able to smile and laugh, not take yourself too seriously, life is serious enough and this is about finding that excitement, fun, passion that the everyday is lacking. Be comfortable with who you are….none of us are perfect, I’m not (it doesn’t exist)…I am certainly not chasing it, only a person who has that ability to be engaging, entertaining, loving and occasionally naughty! This is about the suspense, the excitement, the anticipation, pressing buttons long forgotten or indeed never pushed before…..this is about creating life memories….yesterday is history and tomorrow a mystery, today however is a gift as it’s the present…..so come open it!

Oh and finally…being honest, we are hear for our own reasons but if I’m not for you please just say and don’t feel you need to make up excuses if Im not the one!
