About Me:

Basically I am retired and I really enjoy making the most of my time. I love to walk but now find I just can't quite manage much more than 10 miles at any one time - hate steep declines ! I love cooking and drinking good wine while doing so - sometimes I add it to the food! I am considered quite a 'foodie' and often entertain on a large scale . Politically I'm Blue but I do love a good discussion with the other colours - Question Time is a firm favourite. I'm not going to give much away here, it will be up you to find out more detail.
I am honest, caring, kind, considerate and fun. Ok - I'm not perfect, ( are you ? Perfection need not apply)
but not far off !!! I would like a hand to hold and just occasionally a shoulder to cry on, I want to be there for someone.
No wish to break up any marriage - just would like to make new friendships and see what is happening outside my perimeter.
Please do not waste your time messaging me if you are under 55 , if you are under 5'10" or if you live more than 100 miles away from Sheffield . I am sorry to be so blunt but those details are important to me because just messaging becomes tedious after a while- I'm sure that you will appreciate my honesty and honour my request - thank you. I am tallish, slimish, longish blondish hair . Considered ok looking for my age - don't think you'll be disappointed but beauty is in the eye of the beholder so you will have to decide if I appeal to you ( no hard feelings if I don't appeal at all - it must be honest - at our age we don't have time to pretend - it's ok to say ' sorry - you're not for me" ) . Just getting to know someone is quite a challenge.
I enjoy dressing well but have a preference for the denim ! I do, however make myself wear a dress or skirt and top on two days a week. I look good because I have a reasonable figure - washboard tummy, small waist, long legs ( though not quite as slim as they used to be) ......but what does all that matter? It's just the cover, not the book.

Ideal Partner:

I will not set any criteria for my perfect friend . People come in all shapes and sizes and I don't make any judgements on face value. Neither am I concerned about the car you drive but I do hope that you will be able to hold your own in conversations and that you will have an honest approach to life. I do need someone who is intelligent and has definite views - as I said before, I do love an exchange of ideas/views - friendly banter - that we can agree on or differ on or laugh it off.
