Tattoos - Yes or no ?

What are your thoughts on tattoos? Do you like them or loathe them? Do you find them sexy? Would you turn someone down if they had them? Does it depend on what and where they are?

I have an eye on each of my arse cheeks and when I bend over it looks like my arse is shocked and bewildered.

I love tattoos.

I wouldn't turn anyone down on the basis having one, if I liked the them, but it wouldn't attract me to someone. I love pure, unadulterated, natural skin on skin.

The company I used to work for insisted on tattoos being covered up. No hand, neck, facial, full leg or sleeve tattoos.
It was the same with certain piercings…. Lips, nose rings, eyebrows, tongue or facial piercings.
And you dared not colour your hair blue, pink, green, orange etc.
Even the way some people dressed was frowned upon.

My second post on this very important topic lol is this … I’m in education . As a parent, would you think negatively if your child had a teacher covered in tattoos? My guess is you’d want a teacher that was good at their job and who your kids liked rather than their body art

I haven’t got any and never would . It’s just not something I’ve ever been motivated to do. I suppose if pushed, I’m not against them but I think context is everything. If a saw a Māori with a face tattoo , I wouldn’t think anything negatively and think it was a part of his culture. But would I hire a lawyer with a face tattoo or even a neck tattoo for that matter ? Definitely no. I do think some look great and if I see on a profile someone’s got them, it doesn’t put me off at all, in fact it makes me interested to see it

When I worked for the nhs … I knew a midwife that was passed over because of her ‘sleeve’ ..she left the nhs because of it …I haven’t got any but there are some company’s that still won’t accept tattoos..
We had an IT bloke who was brilliant at his job and could fix anything but he had to go as well …

Where I work now …it’s still taboo

I have tattoos and do like them but I believe that if you have one ,or are thinking of getting one, then you need to think " will this tattoo have real meaning to me or am I just trying to be like my social group" also think of where you are goin to get the tattoo because some places will not employ you if you have what they think are offending tattoos. I can cover all mine with regular clothes but one of my fellow teachers was refused a promotion due to theirs.

I'm too busy trying to find the miniscule number of females who will accept my quirks rather than worrying about tattoos!

In this days an age tats are so widely distributed across the social spectrum that they've lost the stigma they once had decades ago.

I don't care, especially as I'm not here looking for a spouse.

Personally not. I think young men have been donning them to look and feel more masculine.

Love tattoos in the right places .. they can be very artistic… personal and beautiful….also they can cover up some scaring or imperfections 🥰
