I have had a very nice affair from this site but sadly many years ago now. These days i dont even get to go for a coffee as they all follow a familiar theme , make contact, chat online, swap numbers ,chat. Disappear due to not being ready/feeling guilty/ going on holiday. I feel there is a lot of being kept on the back burner while the other looks to see who else might be a better catch.

People join the site for their own particular reasons and while they are all similar, they are unique to that person. Sometimes that reason is they like the idea of having an affair, but can tho through with it.
The site admin is also pretty bad at cleansing it's databases. There are profiles that haven't been active in years. Unless someone actually asks to have their profile deleted, it'll just sit there ad infinitum. This makes it .look like there are loads of members, when in truth there are way less than you think. Let's see if this gets approved... 😂

Sorry if my observation came across as a whinge; I'm just genuinely surprised that after a sincere effort of 3 months, spread out over a year and a bit, I've had zero dates.

I am really interested to hear it's a similar experience for women. I guess, as I said, online dating just isn't what it was. When I first tried it, people signed up to get some dates and meet people.

Here we go is correct in his reply to you …you will be surprised to know that most guys in here have no intention of meeting anyone …making the fee less expensive will make the situation worse and it will deter the women from staying as he stated…
Winging about it just make you more disagreeable with the ladies……it is what it is 🤨

I have to be honest, 3-4 weeks isn't going to cut it really. I was unbelievably lucky last time to find someone in such a short time. This time and. The time before that, not so lucky. The turnover of women isn't that high (well possibly in London), so you'll see the same profiles every time you rejoin. Messaging them repeatedly will not yield messages back.
I agree, it is expensive, but I'm sure if you speak to the female members and read some of the posts on here, there are enough, shall we say undesirable men on here. Making it more affordable would mean even more. You may not think it would affect us genuine men, but it would as it would deter women from joining and/or staying. As your post suggests, it is difficult enough. At the end of the day, you are the only one who can decide what you do....

Thanks. The problem is that it’s so expensive, I can’t stick around long enough to be patient. I also find each time I go on here (this is my third stint, each 3-4 weeks long) that within a couple of weeks of joining I’ve messaged every woman within an hour of where I live. After that, I’ve nothing more to do.

When I first tried online dating 25 years ago, it was much cheaper and the people on there were far more genuine. I do wonder if because this site is free for women they don’t tend to take it seriously?

I did, but that was some years ago - only one short-term thing since. Generally, I think people enjoy the initial excitment of meeting someone new and then that wares of. It's a shame, as in my experience the sex gets better with a longer relationship
