Debate

Are married people or single people happier? Personally, I think married people are happier. Yes, I know I'm married and on IE - but I STILL think I'm happier then an unattached person might be. Aren't we here to live a little but keep things sweet at home...thoughts?

Married for me. My partner is a lot older than me so no action in the bedroom. Need someone who is perhaps similar and looking for the spark to help things along

Bobby224,
Maybe there will always something missing for some people who may have it all but perhaps for them it will never be enough.
I have many good things and very much appreciate them. I am happy but had something missing in my relationship.
I am perhaps one of the lucky few that has now found someone that actually has completed my life and we make each other happy. Yes, I think I am very privileged to have found him.
Search for me is over 🙂.
All and Bobby,
Wishing you find someone as special as I have.

There is an old adage …much wants more !
It’s very true of some …people think they are entitled to have whatever they want and sod the consequences..there are certain people that are constantly searching for that ‘missing ‘ element …you can be searching all of your life and never find the answer..
😕

Do you think that for some people there will always be something missing? However beautiful or handsome our partner is, holidays, money, big house etc etc etc, do you think some people just want more?

Not the married versus single again, yawn.
Personally I joined this site not because I was unhappy but because something was missing in my relationship.
I do believe both married and single people can be happy or unhappy.
We all have something in common in this site. We all joined because we wanted that extra bit of happiness, married or single!
Good luck all in finding that extra bit of happiness!

Either way nobody can make you happy but yourself why would you depend on another person to make you happy x

A bit of a silly question…. Personally ,I think the insane, clowns and dogs are happiest. If I could lick my own balls I would.

So as with most things that try to be an absolute it is never one thing or the other. The reality is happiness is not defined by just being in a relationship. It is just one of the things that helps us to self actualise.

Personally I prefer to be in a relationship as I like being around people and I am here as the friend side of my relationship is great but the physical was not. With my IE she is in the same place as me in that she gets really well as a friend with her husband but there is no intimacy, We find that together now and it completes us in terms of what was missing. We are both now happy being discreet and having both,

Others dont necessarily need that connection all the time and from what I have seen enjoy not having all the domestic crap and enjoy the time limited fun that IE brings. If you asked them, they will say they are very contented it seems. it is each to their own and no two people are exactly the same. Happiness comes in many forms so it seems

As someone who sleeps with a variety of people from different walks of life, different marital statuses, different genders etc. I'd like to say that this debate is pointless, there's no singular key to happiness and it looks different for everybody.
Honestly your whole post reads like someone in am unhappy marriage desperately trying to convince themselves and everybody else that they're not miserable....

It's questions like this that are the written equivalent of making me want to smash my nuts between two house bricks.
