For a first date I would prefer a meet over coffee in nice surroundings which give the opportunity for a good conversation.

Funguy - I think that depends. A glass of wine is fine. Going out on a serious bender, not so much. I was in a bar many many years ago, and a pretty Indian woman tried to pull me - we’d both had a glass of something alcoholic. Perhaps that had given her courage? And if I’d been up for it then it could have been a beautiful one night stand. But I let her down gently.

Coffee . As no one in there right mind should be going to a bar for alcohol drinks with a complete stranger right or is it just me 🤷

Depends if I’m going to have to drive or not, depends on the mood, depends on the woman I’m with. Could be a nice cup of tea. Could be a glass of wine. It all depends.
But I have say, for an apres ski first date I’m with PentUp_energy? Hot Chocolate (and Tartiflette to eat) every time. Middle of summer? Maybe a citron pressé would be more appropriate?

Coke Zero. Under no circumstances would I risk loosing any of my sharpness with alcohol on a first time meeting someone. And I'm male!
