IMO you should not confuse an conflate different things together. There is the fear of being caught which still affects adrenaline and our fear and flight response, but should make you more careful not less. You dont want to blow up your life.

Then there is the thrill of meeting up with your new lover each time which is also exhilarating. There can be similar feelings, but they are very different.

If you focus too much on the former without caution you are putting your current life and that of your partners at risk which is just selfish and bordering then on an addiction to the thrill which is also dangerous to you and your partner. If only you were involved and not your family and your wider partner and their family I would say do what you like but it is not just you involved here so caution warranted.

For me, the thrill iseeting your IE. With my last IE, it was the smile I saw on her face when she saw me, the kiss at greeting, a hug or just a touch of hands.

There is no thrill in getting caught. I haven't experienced it, but I'm sure there are plenty who have and I can never imagine it being thrilling. If you think otherwise, bye bye....

I feel it too. Nothing gets the heart racing than the feeling of getting caught. Isn’t that why we’re here?

We all feel that initial thrill of the illicit at some point in our affairs, and maybe that never leaves us.
Don't we all want that?
But if you become 'addicted' to the thrill iand that s all you crave, you might find that your affairs become just meaningless encounters?
But who am I or anyone else to judge another's motives?
It's as well we're not all the same.

I tdon't think it's a fetish. it's perfectly natural to feel the thrill of an illicit 'affair' in it's early stages. Don't we all?
But if it's ONLY the thrill of the affair, that excites you, and not what the affair itself brings to you and your partner, it seems to me that once the thrill has worn off, you'll crave the next one, and the next, and the next.........
A bit like a drug habit maybe? Exciting at first, but very dangerous once you're hooked!
