I want to take the time to apologise to the OP.... I didn't read the first line properly, and I've nothing against Americans (as long as they're not NRA gun nuts).

And for the ladies who may have read it, it does reflect badly, but it definitely reveals a side to my character that I would generally suppress is such circumstances.

So maybe I should amend my profile to include the line "occasionally displays the Jeremy Clarkson-esque tendency of speaking from the hip".

On reflection you're totally right, in fact I didn't even read the first line right! I thought it was saying that films with affairs are glamorised!

I'll see if admin can remove the comment as it makes me come across as a prick... which of course I occasionally am!

The film Locke, starting Tom Hardy...... hardly glamourises an affair. Anyway who wrote this fucking question, clearly an American with that spelling of glamourised.

I think sometimes even when you're living in a fairy tale you're oblivious to it. So perhaps the role of affairs is also about allowing you to see your relationship from the outside, while experiencing individual chapters from other fairy tales that passed you by.
