Agree its like going to a restaurant you may have chosen the main meal And you have a pretty regular suite of options that you like but Then for starters and deserts you explore the boundaries and these are always good and enjoyable and exciting. I think its a way if life just like a menu or is that too shallow?

I've used dayuse website for booking hotel rooms in the daytime.

Had some pretty good deals and some fabulous times

Yesterday i got an email from Dayuse Hotels saying they are open for bookings again....they must be missing the day room bookings from folks like us!
So to answer your Question , yes, i guess there is more of it going on than we realise!
Amusingly i used to meet an IE on a Friday in a hotel and ‘Do not Disturb’ signs were on almost every door on the floor we were on!!! 🤣🤣
