I absolutely agree with this, I would rather my IE said he was on another date than to make an excuse, not to me! No need, we're in the same boat so honesty keeps everyone afloat ;-)

Communication is important in every relationship but there are others possibly equally important.
Compatability both in outlook and in what you want, practicalities of being able to meet, and of course basic honesty.
