Coping Tips Please!

Anybody got any coping mechanisms for dealing with your spouse during this time? I am this close to purchasing a shovel and doing some heavy gardening in our back yard

Yoga, go for a run, spend longer out on your weekly shops, visit relatives 100’s of miles away.... there’s a few to keep you going! πŸ˜†
Testing times!😘

while others are happy all their work is done (with minimal supervision it seems) and the little darlings are back in front of Uncle Xbox and Auntie Netflix."

I was looking forward to about 10 days off, needed it!
Coming up to Easter - one child tummy bug! Those Easter fun things evaporated.
Had last week off, oh what joy. The sun shone! I read more than one book!! I am now out of books and cant go anywhere to change them.
Jigsaws were ploughed though lol!
Monday getting back into it, was hell :-(

Leave your OH to it and enjoy your time with the children :-D
They will be grown before you know it :-)

'School work'
... the added problem is the quantity of work they would go though in school and the quantity of work the average child is ACTUALLY capable of.

As a home edder we have known for years that a child may go though about 14 mins of genuine work a day, taking into account, registration, breaks, children messing around!
(One teacher said as much as that lol!!)
One of the sets of school parents has discovered, their child usually gets though x amount of work a day in lessons.
The child has been working their way though x6 BEFORE LUNCH!!!

Clearly they now feel the school is not helping achieve their potential.
Wonder with the loss of so many jobs many may keep them at home (prayers are with you lol!). Home ed is NOT cheap, many sacrifices may need to be made by many.

Apologies for change of direction of thread. :-)

My ex currently with his current girlfriend and her children, actually playing games with them we hear, never did that with his own!!

Tea_coffee_me:
Oh God, the powers that be. Change their mind more times than my aunt and her tea cozy.

Problem is, we're sent enough homework, as you say, for about two weeks; and the lesson plans are too slow moving. So you're entirely right, a few of us are sorting out the fine details, while others are happy all their work is done (with minimal supervision it seems) and the little darlings are back in front of Uncle Xbox and Auntie Netflix.

I'm in tantrum city because I pick 3 subjects a day 5 days a week that need to be done. Nothing wrong with badcop.

Funny, my OH has done just what your ex would've done!

"RumplesBear"

As a mum who has been 'home educating' (English) for COUGH number of years.
I KNOW I am a home educator as the powers that be STILL have NOT worked out what an 'external candidate' candidate is, so have NO idea how to award them their GCSEs!!!!

Home schooling is American
What most are now doing is supervising homework!

Home educating is working out HOW to teach your children and finding AND paying for the resources yourself.

The stress of our GCSE's as not ended :-( lol!!

If my ex was still around he would have taken over a room with a computer and treated us all as inconvenient :-(

" loneliness can then pop up as well"

I think you can be lonely even if you aren't single.
Judging by all the comments, being single is still better, haha.
