About Me:

Hello there. I'm university educated and work in engineering, splitting my time between homes in London and Edinburgh, and work in both cities and Glasgow. I'm married, but missing the closeness of a physical relationship. I'm looking for something longer term with one special woman, a real connection, not a book full of numbers. Having said that, I don't want to come across as heavy or pushy. I'm happy to let things take their own pace and develop naturally. Trust and time are key here to building something special.

I'm sensual, artistic, intelligent, witty, and patient, an unconventional thinker and a good listener. I'm also dependable and loyal, in spite of the obvious ironies being on this site create. I know the last bit makes me sound like a labrador.

My tastes are varied and wide: I enjoy theatre and art, exhibitions, travel and good food. I like live performances of all types, love architecture and design, and love to experience new things. I'm left-leaning politically and pro-European, enjoying stimulating and intelligent conversation. I dress well and enjoy being well turned out. I"m confident but not arrogant.

Having said all of the above, I also love getting out of the city and into nature, enjoying camping and hillwalking, and travel further afield. I lived and worked in Paris for many years and return as often as possible.

I'm 5'11" tall, with brown hair, kind and friendly eyes, and good hands. I'm of average build: no slob, but no gym bunny either. I'm old-school where manners and respect are concerned: gentlemanly but not patronising.

I'm looking for someone intelligent and elegant. Someone who enjoys being a woman and dresses well. Someone comfortable in themselves. Someone who enjoys a good meal in a nice restaurant. A reader, a person who has a wide variety of interests and loves new things, someone who enjoys the city but also someone who likes to escape it and get into nature for walks and adventures.
Looks-wise, I'm not prescriptive. Being comfortable in yourself is the important thing.
