About Me:
Like a lot of people I let the robots write my profile - this was a mistake as clearly the robot had no idea who I was. I have opted to use my own words....
I am university educated and brains do matter to me. I like my friends to be interesting and interested. I read a lot and my taste are very wide ranging.
I am happily married with kids and am not looking to change my home life - just we are best friends rather than lovers. Was my wife's suggestion that I come on here - which really surprised me.
I like to keep fit - I do have a six pack but unfortunately it is hidden under my one pack. I've been a cyclist for years and have the thighs to prove it (if you have a thigh fetish then I maybe your man - not entirely serious btw). More rugby player shape than marathon runner. A fair number of lady's profiles specify they like tall men, well I am 5'9" so not tall but not short. Some men on here have given vital statistics - I'm not shy but I don't think that "bragging" is particularly endearing - if stuff like that matters to you then ask.
I like food - used to be a chef - and have worked in some seriously good restaurants. I still cook but not for a living.
I am financially stable - something else that gets mentioned a lot - not that interested in money, I can afford a sports car, but it just screams mid-life crisis (or small packet or both), so it's not for me. And I definitely do not take myself too seriously.
I should tell you, I'm friendly, generous and logical. (The robot came up with that - but I'll leave it there)
My tastes in films and music are very eclectic - ranging from O Brother, Where Art Thou to Star Trek / Opera to Ska. Generally not a fan of musicals, though am baffled by how many ladies "disfavour The Sound of Music" - I mean singing children and Nazis, what's not to like.
Just had a peek at other men in my age range and now feel I need to point I have my own hair and teeth - never even entered my head that that would be a thing to mention. There are other thing men mention but I'll leave that to you to ask if you want further details....
Beginning to think I should have lied about my age (it seems to be standard) - most people are very surprise to find out that I'm 58 - the assumption is usually late 40s. I am pretty much in the same shape as I was in my 40s - have always tried to stay fit. I have all my teeth, most of my hair and all of me works properly and I don't need a zimmer frame to get around...
Ideal Partner:
Generally my type is short, cute and feisty - but not always - though I do like a bit of feistiness.
Also must be able to hold a decent conversation. The most attractive women become unsexy if they can't string a sentence together.
Physically I like curvy; I have to confess that I do love big boobs - nice but certainly not a deal breaker.
None of the above is essential, except the decent conversation bit. If I can't have a decent conversation then I'm not sure what the point is.
Other Interests:
Museums / Galleries, Music - Classical / Opera, Politics, Literature / History, Cycling, Theatre / Ballet, Travel / Sightseeing, Movies / Cinema, Cooking, Food and Wine
