About Me:

I'm an easy-going, open-minded, if somewhat initially reserved and shy individual. Having said that, once I get chatting I do like a good natter - to the point where you might have to tell me to shut up!
I try to look after myself physically, preferring outdoor activities, my favourites being mountain biking and walking (sometimes at the same time!).
I like to think that chivalry is not dead and strive to uphold it whenever it is in my power to do so.
Travelling is another interest of mine and, though I have done so extensively in the past, the last few years have seen a decline which I would like to arrest given the right companion.
My work is quite flexible, although I work shifts (days and nights) this gives me opportunity to plan 'activities' during the week and in the daytime, however it does sometimes limit my weekend availability.

One more thing - please forgive me if I overuse parentheses and double-entendres, I can't help myself (but I wish I could! ;) )!! I'm 5'10", brown hair (with a bit of grey), blue eyes and am reasonably toned - not gym-toned but more not-sitting-around-on-the-sofa-but-actually-getting-off-my-arse-and-doing-something toned.
Moving on, my 'look', if it can be described as such....is smart casual, I guess. I don't have to dress extra smartly for work so that tends to dictate what I have in my wardrobe. Although, should the opportunity such as dinner with an attractive lady arise, I do relish the chance to dust off the shirt, tie and even, yes believe it if you will, the suit!
I'm not going to pretend I'm some sort of hunky dreamboat but I do think I would be a great catch for the right person. Conversely, I'm not expecting a Victoria's Secret model either.

Ideal Partner:

Looking for a partner-in-crime. Someone to share experiences with both intimate (I'm not a monk.....yet,after all!) and ordinary. To have long conversations in front of a roaring fire with a glass or two of wine, following a walk in the countryside. The normal things that people take for granted but which are sadly lacking in my current relationship. Someone to perhaps be in love and lust with!
I don't have an ideal 'type', I think everyone brings something different to a relationship. I find it's not all about looks but how someone stimulates me mentally, especially in the situation when it's difficult to meet on a regular basis. A cheeky message can do as much for me as a risque photo! Someone who knows how to flirt, be playful and perhaps even a little naughty.
I also love to be spontaneous and would like to meet someone who can reciprocate.
