About Me:

I'm an English man in my 50s, and whilst I work as a scientist I love the arts and music

I don't particularly like crowds, my ideal times are spent with one person rather than going out in groups (probably not something anyone on here would plan anyway!). I'd consider myself quiet but confident about life but I am certainly not extravert. I value intelligence above money, I'd be a Crick or Watson above a Trump (who wouldn't?).

I like cooking (and eating), I like to know I'm able to make something even though most of the time I may choose to buy it, my current fad is making bread, I love to make cakes too but don't eat them often.

I love London - I work there but don't live there at the moment. I've known the city for over 40 years and still enjoy finding new places.

A good cafe found is an ideal afternoon, I know a few now.

I have a decent job and am happy to be the gentleman most of the time and to ingulge, but if you don't think I'm worth the price of an occasional cup of coffee then walk on by.

These days at work I spend a lot of time 'managing' rather than science but I'm at my happiest with my head down trying to make some numbers.

I'm not currently active on this site Is this site full of very tall women, seems to be an excess of women looking for very tallk men! I wouldn't say I was short but can't count myself as tall. I'm 5 10, slim, presentable. I'd like to say I'm well dressed but can quickly descend to a shabby scientist in appearance unless I try hard (put off yet?).

Hard to know what you may think my best features are - I work hard to keep slim and fit, but I'm not athletic in build, and don't look like a rugby player (another favoured feature on this site!).

Ideal Partner:

I'm looking for a person like me, married and wanting to stay like that - otherwise I don't think we'd share the same approach to this. They need to be available during the day, weekdays, I do occasionally go away but I want to meet someone easily without stress so why push any boundaries. Looking to meet for coffees, lunches, visits around London and then more should we decide it's the right thing

Meeting in or near London is best for me, I work there in a central location but can travel readily enough.

Values or morals, not sure what one can say about someone's morality on here - discretion is absolute. I like someone to keep in touch my email or text but according to the rules of discretion. I'm looking for regular, but not necessarily frequent meetings
