About Me:
My home life is important to me. I enjoy a comfortable lifestyle and, while retired from a lifetime in business, I am as busy as ever. But now my time is much more my own and I can be more relaxed in my choices. I am gregarious and have a lively social life. People interest me and I am curious about histories and what motivates people. I have travelled the world, preferring to be a traveller rather than a tourist, but now I am interested in seeing more of this country in which I grew up. I suppose I would be described as sophisticated (I am not at all hippie or new age) and I am certainly educated, though shockingly ignorant, too. I read a lot (mostly historical and biographies, no modern novels) and am informed about contemporary culture through the internet. I can talk with most people about what interests them and am a good listener. My view can be unusual or unexpected and sometimes I have been described as unconventional. Oh, and I am fun and funny. But perhaps that is best said by someone else. Appearance? How do you describe yourself beyond the facts? Well I am neither tall nor very short, not fat or thin. A size 10/12 so clothes are easy and fun to buy and wear. Anything that seems expensive to others is likely to suit me. I have the accountant's eye for value for money, so justify quality on the grounds of use...I am not a gym bunny but health really matters. I want to look fit and well and happy and healthy. Being well-groomed helps. I admire Helen Mirren. But I copy no-one. Individuality in all things matters.
Ideal Partner:
I would like to find just one man who I can admire and respect and have terrific fun with. He must be able to laugh with me and enjoy the joke that is Life. Successful, yes, that is important but mindful of other people's feelings. Yes, I wish to be wined and dined and I would also like to enjoy the theatre, cinema, the arts, sporting activities etc etc as well as an exciting private life. A gentleman who is looking for a great friendship and who has the sophistication and emotional maturity to manage what might be considered a complex situation but can be quite simple.
