About Me:

High maintenance, emotionally needy basket case seeks ageing lothario for long term commitment and tips on soft furnishings...... ;OK, so not true but what do you write on here to get 'noticed' and stand out from what are, I'm sure, all the perfectly lovely ladies on here....? I'm strong minded yet can be vulnerable at times too. I love my friends and family but also appreciate solitude. I have a great sense of humour but can be serious when required. I love the finer things in life but am just as happy in muddy wellies jumping in puddles. So a mixed bag of contradictions!!! Like most of us I guess! I come in at 5' 4" and am fairly slimish. I'm no stick insect but neither do i belive i need to embark on a programme of starvation and liposuction. I have blue eyes and long dark blonde hair, which I guess may be my best feature. It's hard to describe oneself without either sounding arrogant or like shrek's younger sister. Suffice it to say I'm hardly Uma Thurman but I don't think I need a bag over my head either. Anyway, beauty is in the eye of the beholder as they say so its not for me to judge. That said, I'm comfortable in my own skin and dont think there's much I'd care to change about the way i look. I tend to dress appropriately for the occasion which invariably means casual but I can scrub up too should the need arise!

Shallow I know, but appearance is a factor, and I would hope for a mutual physical attraction but it's also important to have the ability to string a sentence together!!!

Ideal Partner:

I'll be honest in that I'm single. However, I enjoy my own company immensely so don't think I'm looking for a full blown relationship. That said, I have needs, as do we all, so am firmly taking a 'see what comes' approach to this site and hopefully achieve the best of both worlds! Anyway, I don't think it's constructive to set peramiters or be too prescriptive. If the worst that happens is some fun then, hey, I haven't wasted the last five minutes creating this profile!

I tend to like tall gentlemen with an air of assurance, but who knows who may be out there. Someone sure of themselves and mature enough to not be hung up on other people's perceptions of them. Someone for whom life is for living!
