Ideal Partner:

Female between the ages of 30 and 49
This is an impossible question to answer. For once the cliché about chemistry is right. Sometimes the most seemingly unlikely 'candidate' turns out to be 'the one'. The really important thing is that whatever develops be pretty much a mutual thing, maybe not exactly 50:50 but pretty close to that. Perhaps it's easier to specify what it shouldn't be: nothing about the relationship should be exploitative on either side. I'm no shrinking violet and I'd prefer it if my partner were outgoing to a similar degree. I don't mind where 'you' live as long as it makes things practicable for meeting regularly. It's suggested that we write something here about morals. Hmmm. Doesn't sound like a starter to me: illicit is as illicit does and I'd prefer to spare you [and me] any hi-falutin' hypocrisy. Oh, I do stand by the non-exploitative bit though.

More Information

General
I am outgoing; ironical; sense of humour is 'dry' and "verbal" I'm athletic and work out regularly without allowing it to dominate my activities disproportionately. I'm interested in good literature, theatre, philosophy and certain aspects of the law. I do have a serious side but you'd not know it on first meeting since I'm pretty 'hail fellow, well met'. Others have said that I exude an obvious warmth. Ugh, I'm really not comfortable writing this guff but I suppose it has to be. Ok,back to the task in hand: I work in professional regulation.
Family? I am not a big 'family' person. You get to choose your friends; with family you have no choice. I prefer to choose. I am quite well travelled: I went to school in London; studied at U of L and did postgrad at several US and European universities.
There's no such thing as an ideal evening out and my taste in cooking is pretty wide. As for travel and all other cliche's south of there: The USA, which I know well, is not a place I'd care to live in but is a wonderful country for vacationing [as they'd put it]. I have lived in Europe, too. Germany is great for living in and Italy isn't but, again, it's superb for holidays.
My Appearance
Am 5' 101/2". Close cropped hair and beard. slim with noticable muscle tone.Very masculine features rather than pretty boy good looking. Have been described as having 'a very strong face' but, again, writing in these terms makes me cringe ..... I wear well cut suits for work but can do casual at weekends and I'm also capable, when the occasion suits, of slobbing it. I probably look a bit sombre to begin with but I'm told my features alter [soften,it is said], almost beyond recognition, when I smile and I do like to smile. That deceptively stern aspect sometimes comes in handy, professionally speaking.
