I like contrasts. I have my own business but I'm more liberal than conservative in my views. I like the stimulation of the city and the peace of the countryside. I like books and cycling, arts and science. I'd like to be both an athlete and an aesthete (not that I ever managed either). I like a woman who is poised in public and passionate in private. Good looking in a Richard Gere* sort of way. No, really. Well, more than one woman has suggested there's a resemblance. On the other hand, none of my male friends - gay or straight - has mentioned it. Perhaps I have known a lot of myopic women - ask for my password and decide for yourself.

I'm much better groomed and dressed now than when I was younger; I was amazed at how comfy my first Armani suit was - just like a pair of pajamas so I sleep in it these days. I'm neither fat nor bald and there's hair on my chest but not on my back. I'm vain enough to shave off that odd patch of hair that sprouts above the... whoops, sorry, I don't usually start talking about hair removal until the second date.

I'm about 1.8m and weigh about 78kg. Yes, I do the metric.
