About Me:

I'm a one-time media professional who left London to live in the country and now I do very little at all - although I've recently been doing some teaching at a university. I'm educated, intelligent, friendly, laid back and I have a great sense of humour and ability to make people laugh. I'm happy and well-balanced. Above all I'm, well, just nice and decent. I like intellectual and cultural pursuits and love to have my mind stimulated. Other bits, too, but that happens later.

I live in North Devon. My wife's work pattern means I can meet up during the day, midweek, on alternate weeks. Hate to be so specific, but it does mean I would struggle to meet in the evening or at weekends.

I'm confident but not arrogant - I believe in relationships of equals. I was very successful in my career not that long ago, but chose to downsize and get a more healthy balance to my life. I'm laid back, friendly and don't like to take myself seriously. If you want someone to lavish you with luxuries, or you're looking for some kind of alpha male hunk, you're not looking for me (but good luck anyway).

I'm comfortable with what I'm doing here - you won't be burdened with my angst or guilt. Since I would need absolute discretion from you, you can expect the same from me. I think I look smart and friendly. I smile a lot. I have deep brown eyes, very short black hair (balding on top quite a lot, sadly) and glasses. I'm not especially tall or muscley - pretty slim. Average, basically.

I've been told I'm not bad looking. The celebrity I most closely resemble is Penfold from Dangermouse.

Ideal Partner:

I'm happily married but looking for some extra sparkle in my life and, let's be honest, something extra in the physical side of my relationships. I am looking for someone I can be friendly with, who is intelligent and we can enjoy each other's company and conversation. I would like to find someone (just one person - I'm not looking for a string of flings) who I can spend occasional afternoons or mornings with. As important as the sexual component of this friendship would be to me, I don't expect that to happen instantly, and time spent first discovering each others' personalities and foibles is time well spent in my book.

Since personality and intellect are what turn me on, physical appearance is of secondary importance. If you have a ready smile and a relaxed attitude, then the rest is less important. I really don't care how you dress and I can think of fewer things in the world less important than 'fashion'.

I think the sexiest aspect of a woman is her eyes. Followed closely by her bottom. Of the two, bottoms are more satisfying to fondle.

I'm being quite discerning in my approach on here. I'm not bombarding everyone I see with messages. If I contact you, it's because I sense that you are seriously interesting and I'd really like to get to know you. Yes, I know - you're deluged with messages from men and barely have to reply, let alone send messages of your own - but if you're finding that you're being contacted by time-wasters, ditherers or sleazebags who are clearly only after one thing, then think about sending me a 'hello' - if we find we click, then I promise you'll find me devoted whole-heartedly to making our affair a meaningful and rewarding one.
