About Me:

Hi everyone; I\'m James, aged 32, Devonian born and bred. Believe it or not I\'m happily married to a lovely,down to earth girl who I adore - which makes it all the more mystifying as to why I\'ve found myself here! All I really want in life is to be happy and healthy; I\'m not money orientated or driven which is just as well as there never seems to be enough to go around anyway!! Like I say, I\'m happily married with no children - I have a house of my own and my one-man-band business which pays the bills & mortgage etc. I would consider myself as a down-to-earth guy who gets on with pretty much everyone, the odd exception granted of course. I am a thoughtful person who wouldn\'t ever hurt anyone intentionally, I have a small selection of good friends, though I\'ve probably got more acquaintances than true friends. I\'m an only child, (mum & my now late father divorced when I was young) which probably explains why I like my own company on occasions and am quite a private person with a massive pride. I am not stuck-up in any way; nor do I ever think I\'m better than the next person. I\'m a \'live and let live\' philosophy, which I think is the best way to be.
I guess I\'m on this site because I crave that something extra. My life has always been fairly routine & I\'ve been a good boy so far! I know there\'s an untapped side to my character which is dying to get out. I think I know how to treat a lady; at least I hope I do. I\'ve been well brought up, (credit to mum & exceptional grandparents) and am very sensitive about good manners which I\'m sure you\'ll agree cost nothing.
Before I start to waffle away too much, I\'ll just get to the heart of things. I would like to meet a lady or ladies of a mature outlook who will appreciate my finer points; (I\'m not being crude here by the way!) I\'m talking about characteristics which I don\'t feel my wife appreciates at times. For example, I\'d like to have a deep & meaningful talk rather than a brief yes/no conversation. I\'m a good listener & appreciate other people & their problems/fears etc. I will say that I\'ve always had a penchant for older ladies than myself - from five to ten years older than me. I used to go out with a girl who was six years my senior & she was fantastic in every department, though I maybe didn\'t appreciate fully what I had back then. Anyway, I feel I may be starting to bore whoever\'s reading this right now, so I\'ll say farewell for now. It would be great to hear from you. I\'m around 5ft 10/11\', a little overweight for my height - I blame getting married and having a sit-down job!! I have short brown hair - naturally curly - with blue eyes. How can I say I\'m reasonably good-looking without sounding conceited?! Not for me to say. Just to give you an idea; I\'ve been informed that i bear a passing resemblance to Michael Schumacher, James Nesbitt & Alan Shearer. I like to dress smart but casual.

Ideal Partner:

A lady aged somewhere between 30-45 who would like to strike up a genuine friendship/bond. I realise that beauty can sometimes only be skin deep, so what\'s on the inside is obviously more important than looks - though a combination would be perfect of course!! i\'m open-minded & we\'d just play it by ear. I would like to meet someone with honesty & integrity. A good sense of humour without being over the top would be great. Sincerity is important.
