General

I am 62, married for 30 years and run my own media business. I have a language degree, loads of interests and a positive glass-half-full attitude. I have a good sense of humour and don't take myself at all seriously. I like conversation about most things apart from football, soap operas and Hello! celebrities.
I listen to Radio 3 and Radio 4 and watch mainly current affairs, culture and sports programmes on TV. I prefer rugby and cricket to football. I also go to the cinema, theatre, concerts, and I always have a book on the go.
I like overseas travel, usually with some walking or cycling - eg Himalayas, Cuba, Jordan, Thailand. I have a sports car for sunny days - nothing expensive, but it's fun.

My Appearance

I am 5ft 11in., weigh about 11 1/2 stone and am fairly fit from cycling, tennis, hill-walking and going to the gym. I am clean shaven, have a full head of hair and am generally presentable. I usually dress casually - seldom in a suit. I am certainly not handsome, but I don't think I am embarassing to be seen with.
