About Me:

I think the first thing my friends would say about me is that I'm a relentless enthusiast! I have a lot of diverse interests - too many, I fear - but life is full of possibilities and our existence fleeting ... why not do everything we can with the time we have?

I am in a creative occupation and run my own business. I yearn for new experiences but go to great lengths to balance excitement and duty.

I love books, beautiful places, beautiful skies, hanging gardens and Proustian moments.

Physically, I consider myself privileged. Lucky. I enjoy good health and a body that serves me beautifully. Although some friends are convinced I nailed my soul to the Devil’s altar when I turned 32 and have a portrait languishing in my attic.

I'm an avid reader with a penchant for classical literature and poetry. I studied philosophy and European literature for my undergrad. I also have an MSc in economic history and comparative politics, a diploma in cosmology and am soon to embark upon Yoga/Pilates teacher training. I only cite these things to paint a picture of what I love, and what preoccupies me…

…and as a famous poet once wrote: we are what we love. This is a subtle truth.

Ideal Partner:

I seek meaningful connection. A meeting of minds that is both intellectually and emotionally stimulating.

I wish to meet someone with passion and enthusiasm for life; who is demonstrative of said passion and an adroit conversationalist. Someone close to my age is preferred. Fit in mind and body; gentlemanly, consistent and discreet.

But please know this: I am currently eager mostly for a friend. A witty, kind, flirtatious friend. I am determinedly open to what may come, but also very cautious. And discerning. My heart is expansive, yes, but not frivolously bestowed. Never that.

I do not anticipate encountering something romantically seminal again in this life. I have known the beauty of profound connection so intimately as to also know its rarity; its unrelenting, inimitable ache.
