After some time away putting family first I'm finding that desire for some extra excitement again and needs unmet are starting to become more pressing. I would love to meet someone for conversation, companionship, and whatever else may come of that whilst accepting that I'm married and that's not going to change.

In my spare time I play the drums in a covers band (you'd never have guessed from the pic would you...), try to exercise every day (running, cycling and swimming) and really enjoy getting outdoors, although a nice evening squirrelled away somewhere comfy also works very well for me!

Looks wise I have a face that's relatively young for my age offset against having mostly gone grey with some small splashes of light brown remaining. The phrase I hear a lot is ‘cute’, which is great for nabbing werthers originals, but I’d love to meet someone for whom the Venn diagram crosses over into ‘sexy’. I used to be a half decent athlete and whilst kids have limited my time for exercise I haven't gone full dad bod, but if you're looking for a six pack then feel free to move along.

If you need your partner to hold a certain income or social status then we also probably aren’t going to gel. My existence is perfectly comfortable, but experience tells me that if that stuff is important to you, we’re not going to be compatible.

Based in Reading but regularly in London with work and also in Manchester now and then too.

Someone with intelligence who can hold their own in conversation and can be honest, as much as that's possible in this place!

I have spent most of my life adapting to the needs of others and am looking for someone with whom I can be myself. If it takes time to meet the right person then so be it, I'm in no rush. I'd like to meet one person who is looking for more than a casual thing but also isn't looking to change their situation. Managing the insecurities of others exhausts me, so much as I like to message daily, if you're the sort of person that starts getting twitchy whenever a couple of hours have passed and you don't have a gushing message from me then probably best to move on...

I don't have a particular type looks wise and have been attracted to many different shapes, sizes and ages in the past. Conventional beauty is not a prerequisite for me but equally if you're gorgeous I'm not going to complain! The most important thing for me is probably confidence in yourself and us being able to talk freely and easily. We'll likely know after a few messages if we have the right vibe. Do people say vibe anymore? I'm so out of touch...
